Could an ad be this touching?
I honestly didn't expect this short film to be THIS good. Well, given the main cast's potential and the well-executed plot, it is no wonder. Especially Kim Go Eun was a show stealer. Simply in awe with her. Her emotions were genuine and on point. And someone tell her to start a vlog asap?! She is a natural?! Count me in as a subscriber already! And I never would have imagined that something good could come out of the mandatory 2-week-quarantine due to COVID 19, but here it is, the movie proved otherwise. These two-week restrictions really give space and time for a lot of self reflection and past reminiscing.
So overall, this was a heartwarming, simple, yet moving story. Even though the short film was supposed to be a lengthy product advertisement, the focus stays on the character's relationship, very much alike Makoto Shinkai's (Your Name, Weathering With You) anime ad "Crossroad" or the short film "Relumino" with Han Ji Min and Park Hyung Shik. Now that I think about it, I believe that one too was for Samsung. Also, the product placement was way smoother than in some of the K-dramas I've seen.

guess i'm the odd one out cause i didn't get it, like i got what i was seeing, it's about two people that in-spite of being in a relationship weren't verbal with their feelings(?!?) enough to keep one from going, or make the other one tell 'them' to stay(?!?)cause leave everything aside (like the quarantine, COVID-19, work-related move, friends, vlog etc...) we talking about 2 people who have feelings for each other, but didn't communicate that importance too their partner? and that reason enough to not only break-up without a word but delete that person from ur life like they don't exist and never mattered to u?!?
one just upped and left without a word and now that he's back, she is regretting not being forthcoming about her feelings(?) and that is her wrongdoing(?!?), so she feels they equally at fault or cause she still in-love is ready to forgive and give him a second chance?!?
idk i don't get how 2 adults can be together and not communicate or know, how the other feels, without the need to freakin verbalize it! then how/why they even together in the first place?!? just cause one doesn't want to come visit u in another country or isn't offering to up-root their lives n follow u. means it's ok to end thing with a text message and cut off all contact like he did? i for sure wouldn't be waiting with open arms.
this too short IMHO to 'get' what's what and i need a bigger picture of their relationship, not so i can accuse one or the other, but understand why she feels her lack of telling him "i care, so even if i can't follow u. i will be waiting for u..." or "the fact ur moving doesn't mean we have to break-up..." idk, there is something missing - to get her still caring to the extant of rushing to the airport to look at him from afar, when he lands back in Korea, u can chalk it up to "love is blind" or "the heart wants what it wants" but then meeh . so this ok, but not blown away like other reviews i've read.

so simple yet so beautiful
i wasnt ready to watch something related to the covid-19 but as expected .coreans know how to make good stuffs from that, this short movie is so touching and so realistic, u can feel that it wasnt just a scenario but like a true story between a two normal persons, and it has very dark meanings too for exemple how it feels being confinned and being free outside.even the cast were so convincing and they suited eachothers very well in general this movie has a great message wish everyone to appreciate it before its too late .Was this review helpful to you?
Short but impactful
In few words this was on current affairs. It showcased the intensity of emotions of two characters at the time of such unprecedence. Being quarantined was something we all experienced and to see it from others perspective felt so relatable. Soo-jin played by KGE is done very beautifully. Kim Joo Heon did a great job as well. I liked when they showed the couple together and how they miss the special moments they once shared. Pandemic brought up a sea of emotions for us all and the main leads were no different. I wish this was a full feature film but it was nonetheless a short master piece. Was this review helpful to you?
