I really enjoyed this movie. We got historical, romance and bad boy in a short 1h30min movie without much drama. ^-^I really liked the bad boy ML, damn he was hot and we got to see some nice shots of him. ;)
I also liked the bromance between ML and SML and also the frindship between FL and SFL. There was a love triangle or rather love suqare, but no real side-b*tch. The SLs were totally likable - even for me. They were really very kind. All obstacles were resolved quickly since its just a movie. So it felt rather light and easy to watch.
I also liked the beautiful costumes and scenery. :)
Sometimes some scenes felt a little cringe - but I didn't mind at all. The production wasn't probably the best either since at one scene I could see where the wig was attached, lmao. But such things really don't matter if the movie is good overall.
WARNING: I personally really like "bad boys". But here is a warning for picky, sensitive or easily triggered people: Bad boy means he was dominant, ordered FL around and forced some kisses (pecks) on her.
He acted cocky but like so often was actually really cute. He valued his friendship (ahem! Bromance) and yeah: the ending scene was really adorable! :3
All in all, I liked it really much! Probably gonna rewatch. :)

Hello Mr. Bad Boy :)
I just love this Chinese adaptation from one of the Japanese movies led by Nakajima Kento:)The story is the same. The only difference is the setting. The Chinese adaptation is more on classical type. On the other hand, the Japanese version is of a modern twist.
Moreover, both dramas have their own style. I love them both. I love the female lead in the Japanese version played by Nana Kumatso while the female lead in the Chinese version needs more uplifting of her acting skills. Thus, the male leads of both versions were totally awesome. I love their cold charisma.
Their actings (Yang & Kento in both Chinese and Japanese versions) were both great.
My total rating for this drama is 10/10.
Please do watch this drama. I could assure you, there are no boring scenes here:)
Jiayou!

Boring
This was such a boring and low budget movie. The acting was terrible, the story was boring , this just felt like a low budget movie, that was slapped together.
neither the cast or the characters grabbed my attention.
very boring and no imagination at all, no story. I didn't really care for the plot of this movie because it is the same plot as the original. They didn't add anything to it at all, it was just repeating it. But the way it was executed was terrible and so bland. I didn't feel anything, I just wanted to get it over with so I skimmed to the end.

Like the original, love the reboot.
I don’t really understand why it’s not rated well on here. While the lead isn’t Nakajima Kento, the story on here really fits the time period. They don’t force the main actor to be overly cruel, and my only complaint is that it’s a really condensed version of the original. Personally, I liked this actress over Nana because she really over exaggerates in the original Japanese version (I know it’s because that’s what’s popular in Japan and considered funny there) but I like that she was able to be clumsy but not in a dumb way.Overall, I might even like it more because of the lack of cringy moments and there feels like a lot more romance earlier between the lead characters. I wish there was a bit more competition between the lead male and the other love interest, but in the end it was done well.

Over all, I ended up loving this movie.Though, pretty sure I'm character/actor biased. Lol
First starting off it seemed like the usually (boring) slow-burn, but pretty quickly things started to pick up. I think the humor parts are what really kept this movie going for me because the surrounding scenes complemented it perfectly. It was serious and tense just enough to not make your head explode and the funny moments were timed perfectly to where it was just * chef's kiss*
Was not, repeat, was NOT a fan of Chen at first. But i wasn't a fan of Duan Mo Ze either..... I think previous shows and movies have made me sus over anyone who is "to nice" like he was. Lol.
In the end I did like Duan Mo Ze. Still iffy about Chen. But with the ending I think she did make right choice though lol. She is definitely not the shy, weak, take the punches kinda girl i thought she was. Lol
Even though this is the typical love triangle storyline that we can't seem to escape from, I still loved it.

Terrible Remake
I watched this movie because I really liked the original Japanese movie and drama it was based on. Even though the two had essentially the same plot, somehow this came out really bad.Even though this is a historical remake of the Japanese version, it has the exact same plot. It is the carbon copy of the original, lacking everything that made the original so good. The FL had no personality at all. Her character was always expressionless , even when she is meant to be happy, you litterally cannot tell. The only emotion she was good at expressing was sadness, even though her character is meant to be optimistic and happy. She can cry and that's about it.
I didn't really care for the plot of this movie because it is the same plot as the original. They didn't add anything to it at all, it was just repeating it. But the way it was executed was terrible and so bland. I didn't feel anything, I just wanted to get it over with so I skimmed to the end.
The ML wasn't bad, but even his acting wasn't that good either. It had very little emotion even though he is meant to be angry most of the time. I can't really say anything about any of the other charecters because they didn't seem to be significant to the plot at all. It was very rushed, despite the fact that I skipped through it, the plot itself seemed to skim through the story without actually delving into anything. We don't actually get to know anything about the FL's background and why she wants to change herself, I only knew this from the Japanese version, but we don't see much of anything in this version.

Lame drama..
I was scrolling on my plan to watch list and i chose this movie/drama, worst choice i could do, this drama didnt left me anything and its such a shame because the location and the actors clothes are gorgeous but the acting was terrible, the FL actress even fakes to eat the food that is shown in some scenes, the facial expressions of every character are, IMO, too stiff and unrealistic, kind of emotionless, in some of the movie scenes the music volume is so high that the actors voices are impossible to hear..This movie is literally a lame version of the drama "Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni nante naranai", such a bad copy.. theres only a few scenes in this movie that changes from the original drama which are just chinese themed.
I wouldn't recommend to watch it but if you want to anyway well, i suggest to watch "Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni nante naranai" first.

A cute but awkward reboot
So I initially love the original Japanese story and figured I would enjoy watching this as well. Now it was quite cute with the few fluffy scenes. It was easy to watch due to it not having much annoying and unnecessary drama. However, the acting at times was quite awkward and slightly cringy. The audio was a bit all over the place. At times you could hear as the microphone was rustled up in their clothing or picked other unnecessary sounds. The music was cut off quick instead of fading out like most dramas/movies do.Aside from that, the FL was cute and the ML/SML were very attractive. They fit the original characters they were based off. The support characters were also very cutesy and fun. If you liked the original, I would say give this a shot (as its based off it obviously) if you can get over the awkward acting moments and poor audio.

Eh.
It plays like a 1st year film student's mid-year assessment piece. However ... mildly awkwardly jointed acting, scene editing and sound editing aside ... you could waste your time on worse.
On the upside (a) there is eye candy, and (b) the editing isn't so bad that it screws up the plot.
