Fong Kwok Wah and Yamamoto Ichifu clash again in 1938, and their fight arouses the attention of Cheung San (the progenitor of all vampires), who interrupts the fight. Just as Cheung San is about to bite the two men and turn them into vampires, Ma Dan Na appears and attacks Cheung San, driving him away, thus sparing Fong and Yamamoto from their fates. Not long later, Fong agrees to help Ma hunt down and destroy Cheung San. They succeed in trapping Cheung San, but he breaks free and bites Fong and the boy Fuk Sang (who is nearby), transforming them into vampires. Fong Kwok Wah and Fuk Sang survived until the present day (the 1990s), and their physical appearances have not changed since 60 years ago. However, before Fong became a vampire, he already had a son with his wife, Sau, so he now has a grandson named Fong Tin Yau. Fong Tin Yau is killed in an incident in England, so Fong Kwok Wah impersonates his grandson. He meets Ma Siu Ling (a descendant of Ma Dan Na), the heiress of a clan of ghostbusters who have dedicated themselves to ridding the world of evil supernatural beings. Fong starts a romance with Ma. My favourite out of the three from this series
This sequel was my favourite from the three of the my date with a vampire series. The childhood memories, the traumatic and haunting production. In terms of plot, Ma Sui Ling was just written beautifully as a strong female heroine, she's my idol till this day and Its been a good 10+ years since I first watched this drama. What also attracted me to rewatch this drama over and over again is the well written and complex relationships of all the characters, because they don't just focus on one relationship. Since the last time I rewatched this drama (which was a few months ago), I also see that there are so many moral boundaries that are taught, as a kid I think I learned very well from this drama. Sometimes dramas are not just entertainment, but they can teach us life lessons like this drama. I also like singing the OST, because it's just gold.
