Weekend Drama
If you're looking for a drama to binge over the weekend this is the drama for you. It's lighthearted and fun. It has a splash of feels here and there but nothing to major.STORY
What I like about this drama is that not ALL the characters are dumb and they acknowledge their mistakes. You can see the character development and flaws within each character. I wanted a stronger ending but it was still good.
ACTING/CAST
I've seen a couple of the characters in other dramas before. In some dramas you can still see remnants of their roles in other dramas. This drama is NOT like that. Their acting is great.
MUSIC
I wasn't too impressed. I heard the opening song and skipped over it. Don't waste your time with that.

This is a historical fantasy drama that has a decent script but fails to deliver. The reason is that the actors, for the most part, failed to show the proper facial expressions in order to convey the right emotions. Also, although the leading couple has a lot of screen time together, there is no chemistry between them or any other characters. There is also the fact that the female lead was supposed to be someone that had the ability to acquire great power but it never materialized and, to make matters worse, after finally finding her father, he dies as she helplessly watches. Started out really Cute but story becomes less intersting
I really liked first two episodes where our leads interactions were really cute and the innocence flattering romance.As the show goes on, the story line gets a bit boring and draggy. I finished the show just because I like Cheng Xiao.
The elder sister's maid was more despiteful than the main villain. Her character was so annoying. As an actress, applaud for her because she really did a great job portraying her character. Hope to see her in lead roles in the future.
I think the characters Yuan Qin, Xiao Yi and Si Kong are totally extra to the story and not much relation to the main story.
Overall, the show was quite easy to watch, although it could have been a lot better.

Interesting
I enjoyed the series, the episodes were short but good. Interesting story, with a surprising reveal. I liked the fact that it was lively and had some comedic moments but it went with the cliché troupe “couple falls in love, one needs a cure, one either is the cure or determined to find it.” Fairly decent drama. Not too over the top. You’ll get your fair share of villains.I think the ending was a bit anticlimactic but it’s enjoyable. If you’re looking for something light hearted, you may enjoy this.Was this review helpful to you?
