One Stars

ok so think the main problem here is translation - cause this ep wasn't automatically translated, but a Pino fan did the international viewer's a favor and typed the whole dialogue in the comment section (her id on the tube is: Daffnea Destiny) and Now it made sense - let alone finally got that Nanay isn't related Caloy (even though then why she talk about his mother - so r they?) and the bitter Ditas is her daughter, not her granddaughter (and she told her bf Chris that she hated both Caloy & John cause "They're not my family! But they are getting the affection of my love ones!" not saying it makes the acting any better, but now get that maybe the holes in the plot r more "miss" translation, then actual crap writing. btw the tribe people telling Caloy he needs to get back to the tribe - what can he do? as in what can he do that his father can't?!? idk i guess it's the mentality - but the people in that tribe r grown ass adults why can't the fend for themselves - the whole idea of needing a "head" is fine as long it's a figure head - but here he actually needs to take care of them and fend for them - let alone let them dictate his life - in this day and age kinda inconceivable. if i was Caloy i would run much further then to the nearest village - where they could easily find me

Lakan (2020) Episode 5: Ipagpatuloy ang Kahapon (Continue the Past)

Plot/storyline didn't move much on Episode 5: Ipagpatuloy ang Kahapon (Continue the Past). Bulan/Caloy met members of his ethnic group at the market. They asked him to return to the mountains to help their ethnic group. Jealousy was presented as the reason for Ditas' unpleasant attitude. But given Ditas' over the top reactions, I'm not convinced jealousy alone can explain her behavior. Script was corny at times. Acting was the same as previous episodes. Production technicals were generally ok. I liked the last scene wherein they shared gifts and meals to celebrate Christmas. It was heartwarming and hopeful especially with the new OST "Sa Agos Mo" (In Your Flow) by Spencer Geronimo in the background.
