When you are thirsty...

When I noticed it was 30 minutes, I must admit I felt kind of sceptic...what could they do in 30 minutes??
Well they managed to surprise me, that's for sure.
It was a really enjoyable watch, a great story with great characters and totally awesome music!!!
( If this was turned into a drama it would be awesome)
I really think the premise for this although it seems it is just another romance...is really original...I loved it.

So if you're hesitating..don't...just watch it.. what's 30 minutes anyway?!!? Right?!?
Hope this helped make your mind!!
XOXO
Anita

It's only 30 min. Give it a try.

Overall
It is actually a really good movie. I give it a try because it was only 30 minutes long and I am glad I did.

Story.
Before I started watching this, I thought her ability to grasp BPMs was support to be magic but I am glad that it seems to just be a quirk she has. I think that it was the right direction to go with this and I found it interesting. Thought the movie, there was little interaction between the female lead and her love interest, which could have been amped up a bit imo. Then the end seems to be ambiguous and left for the viewer to decide what they want it to be. Overall, even though it is a romance story, it feels unique, which is always good.

Acting/Cast
I have never seen these actresses in anything else before. What I will say is that both girls were pretty good in their roles. The guys seemed good for the little time they had as well.

Music
The music was actually really great. I tend to not look into the music to much but here it was given a spotlight. The band that was shown in the movie was pretty good.

Rewatch Value
I have to say that since the movie was pretty good and the length was short, the chance that I will rewatch this is high.

Water, water everywhere....

I decided to be generous and reward this short film with a correct rating. It was Ok and somehow it wasn't. I liked the quirkiness of the beginning but they just had to go and ruin a cute story with stalking. When kids stalk each other it is often cute, here we are talking about adults so even though her stalking is not threatening it is definitely creepy and immature and not romantic. Still, they gloss it over completely...

The story is simple: a young woman who cannot help but hear the pattern (BPM beats per minute) in every sound, longs for the underwater silence and has only one friends, falls for her friend's boyfriend's friend Mizu and starts stalking him trying to figure out why her own heartbeat accelerates when she's near him. She records everything in a notebook titles Beats for Mizu.

The acting is excellent, the cinematography pretty, watery, subtle and light. There is a lot of water in this film starting with the story of little mermaid up to the ML's name. The music is excellent and it delivers emotions when the main characters cannot. The friendship between two young women is precious. I almost wanted this to go the GL route! The first boufriend/kis scene was hilarious: the awkward youth!

Nice short watch!

For a movie that was only 30 minutes long, it was really well-made. Even though it is so short, which means there's not much time for build-up and backstory, you still don't feel like there is much missing from the story, even though the potential for more development is, of course, here. The actors did a good job, I loved the friendship between Sumiko and Yukimi and I wouldn't mind seeing more of them. All in all, the only thing that was missing from this movie is more interaction between Sumiko and Mizu, but surprisingly, this didn't bother me at all. If anything, I enjoy the fact that their potential relationship was left open and for imagination. Also, I need to mention the music which was better than most high-budget films to be honest.
If you only have half an hour to watch something and you want it to be chill and wholesome, I definitely reccomend this one.
