This is not a romance.

Don't get me wrong, there is something going on with the ml and fl but it isn't the focus, despite what I expected. Instead this mini and confy drama show us the the relationships between humans, and a god (woven) learning about them. It's totally worth watching cause the production is the one of an epic drama and also, I always have wanted to see a lee soo hyuk's drama but never got the guts to watch a "big" one, so this one was perfect to me.
Being short just like the drama all I have to say is: You need to watch it, it's on another level of quality.

Short and sweet!

Aww it was such a pleasant and heartwarming story that there's a still on my face as I just finished it and here to write review so I can convey my emotions properly. It was short in time but not in content, in just 8 episodes of mare 16-20 minutes give you a lot pleasure it's short but properly executed, the cinematography, acting and the music is topnotch.

You explore a lot, in every episode you see a different story, different emotion and it's very interesting and fun too watch, I won't spoil you anything but I can definitely assure you that you'll enjoy every minute because of it's uniqueness . So it's great watch I had great time, you won't regret it watching....

Lee Soo Hyuk's Hairstyle >>>>>> everything else

I didn't know what to expect for an "ad drama." I honestly thought they were going to focus more on the clothing, but I was pleasantly surprised this drama focused on human dynamics.

There were 4 storylines in total. The first was about a failing relationship, the second about a deteriorating relationship, the third about an actress's dreams gradually being crushed, and the last about a mother's love for her child. I only liked the latter two of the four. It appears that the writer improved in the second half of the drama.

I thought the acting was fine. They did the best they could with the mediocre writing and dialogue. You could tell that Sa Rang (played by Lee Su Ji) and Joey (played by Park Seung Ji) were rookies, but I didn't have as much of a problem with that as others did. The stand-out is obviously Lee Soo Hyuk - he seems to really nail his roles as a mysterious, cool figure. I don't mind if actors/actresses take the same type of role over and over again, as long as they're charismatic and have believable acting skills. Soo Hyuk is definitely one of them.

I hope that a longer second season is made. Dramas with this type of format do not bode well as short-form.

aight byeee~

Soohyuk finally playing a lead character!!!!

I told myself I'm gonna support the hell outta any new show if Soohyuk gets a lead role and lo! This mini-drama exist!!

Overall, the drama has great storytelling. It was a great concept to have the mini drama to focus on Wobeun, a deity who has been dispelled from Heaven, being tasked to make clothes for humans in order to console them. It was interesting to see him slowly changing in his views towards humans and how he; with his powers, would help heal the emotional wounds of his customers who came to him to ask him to make clothes for them as he learned more about human emotions.

It was quite a heartwarming and healing story as we get to see from Wobeun's POV, as he tried to understand the humans coming to his shop and to learn how to become more emphathetic. And because the episodes were really short, the plot wasn't bogged down by unnecessary side plots and drama that might distract viewers from the main focus which was Wobeun trying to help heal people with his special abilities. Though, while that itself was good... I wished that the mini drama could've gone for a bit longer since I really love this story between Wobeun and Sarang and want to see more of it. Well, the ending did provide a possible reason for a proper kdrama sequel so who knows?

deserves to be on tv !!

The minidrama teaches really important lessons regarding the human emotion. It's so beautifully written, and the cinematography is amazing. The songs are so beautiful I've been searching for their soundtrack. Everything about it is amazing ! The production, the clothing, the colors, its aesthetic, the storyline. I love how they never focused on any ship but had little crumbs lying around. The drama is so straight to the point and I really did genuinely love and enjoy how it was planned out. They never wavered from the initial goal of the drama. The ending was so beautiful too ! It's very well written and produced very nicely.

Simple but important messages

Every once in a while I'm blessed and come across a drama that meets several criteria I'm looking for at any given time: genre (romance, fantasy) tag (Deity), cast (Lee Soo Hyuk), synopsis a bit vague to be intrigued enough but not totally confused. As a result, it's a winning bet despite some flaws.

The role of Sa Rang (Love) is to help Woven understand human emotions. The first few episodes have shown that her presence, her lightness, her empathy towards each client helped Woven and Joey to see humans in a different light, that sometimes they just have to listen and watch carefully instead of judging. So in my point of vue, it was really no need to include the romantic dimension which was also rushed to the last episode.

In terms of acting, I think Lee Soo Hyuk is well suited to bring to life a cold and unfeeling character and when he's willing to smirk he really does radiate charm. The sex appeal of this man is just incredible. Lee Su Ji is an actress I've never seen before, but I think that picking her wasn't totally bad, she was radiant even if she didn't convince me on the part where she was bursting into tears, her face was a bit rigid. Park Seung Ji, he exuded lack of experience, the gestures were sometimes too overplayed. But I think he has a real presence that makes you want to forgive his average acting.

The cinematography is gorgeous, the colours of the tailor shop evoking twilight really convey this passage to renewal, a new begining that the shop wants to inspire in its clients, to heal their emotional wounds, to console them with quality clothes they will wear like an armour, to give them back their self-confidence, to remind them of their former dreams, to help them move forward with new foundations.

A Gem in drama. Please watch it !!!!

This is a mini-series available on Youtube, has 8 episodes each of 20-30 minutes, But it's one of the most beautiful series I've watched in my life. I would urge you to watch it as soon as you can.

First let's talk about the background and cinematography, Hats off for that. It's so beautiful and mesmerizing. Let it be the tailor shop or any other location, everything is carefully designed and eye-catching.
Next, the story was really well written, It talks about many emotions and situations which we might have faced in our life and also teaches us how to handle it in a mature way. Sometimes sitting down and talking for 5 minutes can solve the problems which might last long for years. Each and every episode were well crafted and the background music was also good.

Lee So Hyuk finally gets a role he deserves and also nailed it perfectly. He is such a great actor who is to be recognized as soon as possible. Also, the mention of the fl and each and every character's acting was on point.

This series is something that will stay in my heart. It gave me so many important life lessons, Some episodes filled my eyes with tears, Made me both sad but also happy at the same time. I hope we get to see short dramas like this in the future.

For when you need your Lee Soo Hyuk fix

Using my personal rating system of "loved," "liked," "meh," & "nah," this was a “liked”.

I just watched this for the second time and thought I’d do a review.

Things I liked:
This was a short, sweet, and to the point little fantasy where LSH is actually the male lead who (supposedly?) gets the girl in the end. It was a drama about emotional healing and facing one’s feelings.

Things I disliked:
ML’s back story could have been fleshed out a bit more—but as this was a mini-drama, I get why they did not. It was unclear how much time the FL actually spent working in the shop. If not, she fell in love awful fast. The inaccuracies around sewing and tailoring: I’m pretty sure you cannot make a custom outfit in 3 days; you never actually saw them making anything; that is not how you cut out patterns; and the clothes never actually looked that spectacular.

Inconsistencies aside: check it out for LSH. Its free to watch on YouTube. 😊

Woven & Love

first of all, finally we are seeing Lee Soo Hyuk in a lead role?? After all this years ! This mini drama itself is simple and a sort of procedural style drama. It takes place in a shop opened by our fallen Woven (LSH) whom's punishment for stealing some deity's clothes was to make clothes to heal humans (cue Mystic Pop Up Bar). Both concepts are similar, and this shows portray our Woven helping to make clothes to heal different humans. Through these mini episodes, we get to see the touching human stories which i felt was short but impactful. They have stories between lovers, families and also oneself. I personally felt more episode could be made given the concept of this show. While most of the casts are on point, i felt that the screen time for LSH was too little? I am unsure if it's the character itself/ script, but i also felt there wasn't much scenes that show cased LSH's range/ acting abilities, hence it seem kinda dull.

It's my first time watching Lee Suji in a drama and i must say she was great. There wasn't a second of awkwardness and most of her facial expressions and speech were great. It really help you to get into the emotional scenes. I guess as 2 stories + her being the main lead, she definitely had a greater screen time than any of the casts here.

while the romance aspect wasn't the main focus of this show, i personally felt that they could do away with it. I mean Sarang was in love with her bf for 7 years, it seems too easily that she found someone else to love in a span of maybe 1 month. There is nothing wrong with this but it just felt a bit sudden at the end when Woven realizes he has feelings for her? I felt abit disconnected at this point but ok let's take a moment to rejoice because LSH finally got the girl for once... hahaha

Lastly, the cinematography? Needless to say. i think the pacing and directing itself were great. I see lots of effort placed into the setting and fashion. For a mini-series i would say it was good enough, though they could have included more episodes and explanation behind Woven's story? It feels like he's the lead but not the lead? Hopefully there can be a season 2 or something explaining's Woven's backstory??

One of the best web dramas that I've watched!

Yet not many people heard about it.
So many good things in such a short form.

The story is compelling, but what I like the most in Handmade Love is that even though the episodes are short (I think the longest has about 22 minutes) each of them carries a lesson. There isn't much romance because it's not the important thing. The female lead helps Woven to understand people's emotions and actions. Every episode is really touching. I think I might have cried for half of them. The drama gets especially good after 3 first episodes.

You can easily find it on YouTube.

Also this drama is excellent for people who take part in MDL's Watch Challenge because it has only 8 short episodes so it might help in Time block.

Really, you should give it a chance!

Handmade Love :)!

A beautiful, short and light drama.
Those who love fashion can connect to the drama quickly.
I liked the clothing and the place they showed.
I was a little bummed they didn't show the "full" story about the main actor.
The actors are great, especially Lee Soo Hyuk.
I connected less with his assistant in the drama.

The stories presented here are really beautiful, each one with its own personal story.
And sometimes what a misunderstanding can do.
I liked the story that each garment tells something about the man himself, and we gave a stage to each story and the feelings behind each thing.

If they asked me - I wouldn't watch *again* there are many good dramas.
But I definitely recommend watching the drama.

I want a second season

I love this drama so much that I want a second season. This mini-drama has a so diferent story.
The story line, as I said, is diferent but refreshing, and well written . This about human relationships feelings, but not just about passion or romantic feelings. The characters are mature for change, don't expect to see a dull and crying girl and a silly boy.
The 3 actors playing main roles are great, especially Woven . The interaction between him and is servant is so good, as the interaction between the 3.

Weel what I can say more is this: I will see this mini-drama again and I think there is plenty of stories to tell in a future second season.
