this is the best BL ever made and I will die on this hill
Are you kidding me ?Enemies to friends to lovers ?? Is it my birthday?
I went into it not expecting much bc we all know bl kdramas are not of the best quality (although it's getting a lot better) and well...jaw on the floor many times.
I can't think of a single thing I hated and the only reason I didn't give a 10 is bc my most favorite dramas can't be on the same level.
it was so cute and fluffy and there is no problematic scene (that I remember) ASKING FOR A KISS ? FOR PERMISSION? IN A BL DRAMA ? Marry me already
I'm sorry this gets me heated
I need to log off before I start to rewatch it right now

BRAVO! BRAVO!!!
To clarify, I hate the enemies to lovers trope. I always thought it was too much trouble and never executed properly.THIS, however... I loved it. I loved it so much. The story is sweet, easy to follow and flows well. Great acting, lovely scenes and scenery...
It's an adorable idea how this cold and "robotic" guy can turn into a mess when he's with someone he loves. It's adorable. They're adorable. Great chemistry, cute ideas.
I wanted to stand up and clap when I finished the last episode...

An Actual Masterpiece
This one is an absolute classic for a very good reason. The setting and plot may be nothing new, but the show makes full use of them and breathes new life into well-established tropes until it all comes together to create something truly unique.
The music and camera work fit the story perfectly, the acting is excellent, the script is tight, and the clever writing infuses the whole story with a dry, understated humour which suits the characters perfectly.
In short - the show is technically excellent.
But it's not just the fact that the show is objectively good that has so successfully endeared it to viewers.
It's how lovable and relatable the characters are. They are all clearly their own people with their own unique personalities which clash often, but also often mesh together very well, allowing for interesting friendships to form.
They feel incredibly true to life and frankly, seem to me like the exact type of unusual yet charming weirdos you'd find at any university or college campus.
Another strong suit of the show is its depiction of queer people and friendships. You won't find any stale romance tropes here, no queer relationships forced into weird, heterosexual dynamics. The characters respect each other's boundaries and take care not to overstep them, even when they're actively making a nuisance of themselves.
Sangwoo asks Jaeyoung to warn him in advance before touching him, so Jaeyoung does. Jaeyoung asks Sangwoo to not completely push him away and Sangwoo agrees to take some time to think about their relationship going forward.
They both try their best to stick together and make things work between them, yet never fall into a co-dependent "I'd sacrifice everything to be with you" dynamic.
Add to that some stand-out supporting characters (Yu Na, my absolute favourite), healthy male-female friendships, and some truly wonderful casual queer representation, and you've got an undeniable recipe for success.
If you haven't seen this show yet, I highly recommend that you do. I envy anyone who gets to experience watching it for the first time.

É Simples, mas é bom e muito fofo! Vale a pena.

Very good and captivating
I agree like most people that the storyline is a bit typical in BL romance; university setting, enemies to lovers, forced to work together, etc. Despite this, it captures your attention like no other. Both the actors are damn talented. Not only are they both very good-looking but have a certain charm as well. Not to forget, the chemistry between the two actors is electric. Their interactions were the best throughout the series and their acting was so good.
Another thing I enjoyed was their work talk. I guess that makes me a bit of a nerd but I enjoyed their talks about designing and developing the game.
Including a lesbian character was a big plus in my books. However, she was not in a relationship but her mentioning that she had a girlfriend made me like her even more than I did before. She is extremely attractive. No doubt.

The best in representing the enemies-to-lovers trope!
The incredible chase between the main leads is memorable as it was youthful, playful, and impactful. Starting from Sang-U’s sheer coldness towards everyone, it reflects onto his own atmosphere and plays a huge part in emphasizing the contrast between his and Jae Young’s conflicting personalities. Sang-U were consistent in not breaking his known image as Jae Young were consistent in trying to break the said image of Sang-U. All these main points discreetly complete the puzzle that makes this show’s remarkable and wonderful performance. The conflict that the main leads went through inherently focused on something that is questionably relevant up to this day which had me hoping that they would discuss and portray those problems fairly, and they did exactly that. The take they had towards these problems weren’t exactly as heavy, and it couldn’t be classified as light-hearted as well which makes it perfect to me; especially if you are considering to watch this show and anticipating a light-hearted, cute, and gentle outcome. Moreover, the chemistry between the actors is outstanding, seeing that most viewers are hooked and wanted to know more about the said actors after watching the show (I’m so happy when I found out that they are both K-pop idols! King behavior me thinks). The viewers are immediately attached, including myself, which definitely played a part in making this show successful as it is today.
I’m giving this a 9.5/10 rating, considering all the mentioned points above. I didn’t give this a perfect rating only because of the short episode duration and lack of episodes of the series. I’m still longing for the day when Korean BLs would be able to produce 40 min - 1hr long episodes with 12 episodes or more. If we’re going to talk about the flaws that this series have, it would really just be me wanting more Sang-U and Jae Young interactions. Lastly, this might be a very late review as this ended a few weeks ago, but I'm telling everyone who's reading this review to re-watch this series again as it is definitely worth your time!

I finally understand it!
Pals, I finally understand it! The hype, the love, the fanbase of this masterpiece!I put it off for the longest time and regret it! It is an easy watch, 8 episodes a ~25 minutes, but it felt like seconds! I could easily watch 20 episodes with a runtime of 50+ minutes with those two leads and the support crew is also amazing!
Their chemistry is through the roof and the skinship is soooo natural and sweet and, you know, the chemistry is chemistrying! You can see and feel the build up, the soft smiles and glances and the frustrated frowns of not understanding the emotions and body reactions for someone who always thinks logically and I had a blast!
I found it hard to find something that would catch my interest lately, my squirrel brain couldn't find the nuts, but oh pals, I finally found it! I watched a lot of Thai Bls in the past month and none of them was bad, but they got repetative and I found myself more often than not parallel on my phone (I don't understand Thai, so I had to rev back a lot of times!).
But Semantic Error had me from the first second (the visuals! They are no joke!) till the last second (just THEM! Their relationship is so naturel, no flinching or frowning or stiff shoulders, just smooth kisses and touches!) and the story had a really nice pacing, the behind the scenes work was great, the lighting and coloring just beautiful and the music was on point and had me dancing along!
Sorry for my english, I'm too excited to console google translator xD
If you were unsure about it, just watch it! It is definitly worse your time and it doesn't take too much of it! Sadly....

why is this not rated higher?
One of the few I rewatch!Good story writing and good acting! emphasis on the writing and acting because so many dramas do this poorly and that add a bunch of spice hoping to mask how terrible their drama is.
Not this one!
It’s a decent enemies to lovers trope and it was nice seeing their relationship evolve. I also like the bits of humor in the drama without being cringe or cheesy.

no errors found!
honestly, i first watched this when i went through my first obsession with kbls, back after it came out. i was taken aback by how smoothly everything went and i was even expecting it to go sideways as i finished the last episode. it simply DELIVERS. the actors all knew their role and place, the music is honestly over-the-top (i listen to romantic devil on a daily basis), and the way they adapted the storyline from the manhwa still amazes me, because even being in a still sort of restrictive country like south korea, the team sorted out how to show stuff like sexual tension without getting explicit. i love this show.i recommend that everyone watches it at least once in their lives!

Basic but done very well.
I feel mostly the same about the series as I did about the manhwa. I think the story doesn't rewrite the genre in any way or do anything different but it does the basic beats very well. I really enjoyed the visuals in the first episode and I think everything with the production was really nice. It didn't feel overly produced as some things do these days. I loved Jaeyoung's work space and everything about his styling - as I did with the manhwa as well. Everything about him was really well done and he continues to carry this story for me.Sangwoo got me a little irritated similarly as the manhwa story because I don't think Jaeyoung deserves all the confusion - but they are both stubborn and hence they compliment each other.
Also huge crush on Choi Yuna. Everything about her. Yes.
Now that I've consumed this story twice in different mediums I don't think I'll be revisiting it any time soon, but the artistic components of it I do love and I think will stick with me.
I think this is a cute starter BL and definitely a heartwarming story. I was giggling through some of the scenes and I do wish we got a little more like the final scene of how their dynamic works together post confession.
