At the age of 35, divorced and single, Yi Xing Yan meets someone who makes her heart waver in the company, a young workplace junior and former student, Zhou Si Xing. The pressure of reality, the distance of identity, the system of the company and the sincere and passionate pursuit of the boy make Yi Xing Yan face a choice: a stable and calm second half of life, or a short and fleeting but heart-wrenching relationship like a storm. Yi Xing Yan once chose to avoid it, but when she saw Zhou Si Xing being pursued by another girl, she felt an uncontrollable sourness in her heart. In the collision of emotions, the two can no longer hide their love for each other. The process of trying to get along has the sweetness of falling in love and is also filled with all kinds of differences and burdens that cannot be ignored. Yi Xing Yan and Zhou Si Xing learn how to love each other better in the process of bonding. However, the company's iron law strictly prohibits internal love, the ex-husband's request to get back together, and colleagues' rumors appear one by one… adult world is not only love; sometimes, painful to let go or accept regret, will become one of the inescapable options! Hate all the office politics and second lead stories in your romance dramas?
Then this is drama for you. People in the comments are always like, where can I find the whole drama, the episodes are so short. This drama is pure fluff, this is cotton candy and nothing else.
The episodes are short like some of those "summary of a drama" videos on Youtube. It feels like meeting your divorced friend and asking her what's up lately, and she is like, "Sooo I have this hot younger co-worker..." and you sit there like :flushed: . It is detailed enough, and delivers the dopamine on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
The acting is okay, it's clearly low budget, but supercute.
P.S.: I used this to practice my Mandarin, and it's good for that. Pronounciation is clear and you don't miss much of the story if you don't understand something.
Manipulative jerk who doesn't respect boundaries
Younger guy who stalks his former teacher who is now a work colleague. He does things that are extremely manipulative and inappropriate in any setting. When she finally accepts him, he starts doing things at work that could get them both fired, despite knowing her concerns, and the boundaries she has set. Very sad that she ends up apologizing for setting boundaries. Not recommended.5-minute episodes.
Sound production was awful... e.g. music so loud that you couldn't hear the speech, different sound levels for different speakers in the same scene, audio mismatched from video.
