Only because of last episode my rating for the drama is 6.0
Last episode of the drama left me with the confusion. It was her dream or in real it was a time jump ,really be came into the future. In her dream her friend personalities were different one of her friend is introvert (the one who was in coma) and other one was little coward . But when she came out from her dreams her friends' personalities were total opposite bithe were bold .What I understood to watch in this drama that it was Xiang Qin Yu's story in order to find out the murderer he entered the Jin A Yin's dream then different level of story had started . He founded the murder and went back to his life . She woke up from her dreams and in her real life everything was different from what she had seen in her dream . She never meet any of the person in real life except her friends but every characters were there is real . In her dreams her brother 's love story also shown which didn't get happy ending .now the question is if it was her dream then why the story of his brother had shown. So much confusion.

So disappointed
First of all, the male lead was so arrogant, selfish, only seeks his own benefits and made the female lead suffer so much and was bossy almost all the time, then he left her when he didn'tneed her anymore, i got so annoyed that i couldn't watch it anymore. He took too long to realise his feelings for the female lead, but she was a fool too and delusional about him, i got so annoyed that i stopped watching. The storyline is good, but the main leads characters are just not it, i had big expectations...i wasted my time and got disappointed.

I tried
For me Hu YiTian & Yukee Chen are both interesting case studies....I really want to like Hu YiTian as an actor, I want to enjoy his works. I disliked the persona he played in 'A Love so Beautiful'.... I think the audience felt cheated by the outcome of that drama, it is still a classic but for the wrong reasons in my opinion. Hu YiTian is a good actor. Yukee Chen is also a very good actress however I have dropped 3 of her dramas this year.
Hu YiTian is looking for the second hit, he really does not want to stay in the shadows of Shen Yue and 'ALSB' forever. I liked 'Hello, the Sharpshooter' but not the same. The reception was different! Wang Hedi I feel is so much different, he has broken out of the Shen Yue shadow with better excellent performances in 'The Rational Life' & 'Love Between Fairy & Devil' if anything has Shen Yue been able to give a good performance post Wang Hedi/Meteor Garden?
Analysis...
Yukee Chen is not the problem, I think the 3 dramas dropped she has been satisfactory
Hu YiTian I feel is ok but ok for a Male Lead isn't enough, female leads will get away with just being ok but male leads task no secret in dramas has more weight on them to carry the drama. I think HYT is super professional but his engagement with the audience is the weakness for me. He may appeal to big fan base but not majority of them in my opinion, reason I dropped this drama I was 10-11 episodes in & just couldnt feel it from him or his male supports.
Wang Hedi in comparison to Hu YiTian has that natural charisma & can engage with the audience, set off that excitement in his dramas or live performances. Yukee Chen issue is the male lead selection, she may have addressed that with dramas with Joseph Zeng, Wang Yibo & 2 with Wang Hedi so I think the best of Yukee is still to come.

if we don't like one of the players, you should not give a review because this assessment is not only for the artist.
Jin A Yin is like a child because in the story she is still a 25 year old girl and in reality many 25 year old girls are still childish.
If Ayin was too serious and Xiang Qin Yu was serious then the story would be less interesting. that's just my opinion

A promising storyline ruined by subpar casting
This drama has a promising storyline, a slice of time travel, comedy, romance, modern romcom, republican settings mixed together, it has the potential to be great, but they picked the wrong actors.Hu Yitian is ok, he's good looking, his acting is good but not outstanding enough. It was the female lead who need to be mentioned, I was giving her a chance here because the storyline looks cute, but she's mediocre as always. There is no chemistry between the two leads. The female lead character is too childish, and the execution is mediocre. Dropped.

See You No More
We thought this was a serious drama, the trailer looked good and got our interest. This was a disappointment. It's another time travel CDrama where the ML movie star gets plucked from the Republican Era into the modern day to start his romance with the FL and to solve the mystery of his circumstances before he was transported. There wasn't anything original about this which is fine if it can compensate in other areas. NOPE.
What was disappointing?
- ML wooden go through the motions performance. It's like he shows up for a 9 to 5 job in a cubicle farm while watching the clock. One has to get paid and its a just job right?
- FL she overacts too much. Tone it down a few notches. She's trying too hard to be cute.
- No chemistry between the leads which is important and central to the story? FL initially slobbers over the ML supposedly for his good looks and guess the ladies love his height; wasn't convinced any sparks flew between them.
-Cookie cutter overdone story of time travel
- The mystery part of it falls flat

What imperfect casting does to a show.
This is more so a rant..cause i need HU Yu tian to have a win this year cause his previous period drama failed to deliver. And this time he came somewhat prepared...but the female lead casting.????
From the line delivery, tone of voice, pausing after two three words...childish acting.
It gave me anxiety watching i couldn't even focus on the plot.
A very good unique plot that seems really challenging but i couldn't enjoy the acting.
It would be a good ride for those who can get past that cause the plot is worth staying for...but i personally couldn't
