Boonpong is a drama based on the true story of a local Thai merchant ‘Boonpong’ who risked his life smuggling life-saving supplies to help prisoners of war who were forced to build the Burma-Thailand Railway during WWII. Mr Boonpong is credited by many with saving thousands of lives during the building of the railway. Edit Translation
