This short serves as an introduction to Pornographer: Playback is located between this and Pornographer the series, it has been a few years since Kijima and Kuzumi saw for the last time and they have only been communicating through letters, now once again they meet and the sparks are still there, however we see that as before, Kijima, has doubts about their relationship, at the same time that he is irremediably attracted to Kuzumi, something that will be explored more in the next installment of the franchise.What this short leaves us with is that the sexual-emotional attraction that Kuzumi and Kijima had is still as strong as before and I would dare to say even more despite not seeing each other for a long time.
Kijima, although reluctant, seems increasingly willing to let Kuzimi into his life to the point that it leads him to meet his family, which for our old acquaintance Kijima would have been impossible before, in addition to admitting that he is looking forward to the letters that Kuzimi sends out periodically.
As an introduction it works quite well, since in a couple of minutes it raises you the new situation in which the characters live, the problems they will face and some of their fears, such as their ambitions, as well as that even at a distance these people have I've been developing feelings for each other for a long time and it's a situation that can spiral out of control at any moment.
The acting is very good and natural, even better than in Pornographer and the change of style with more "light" greatly favored the aesthetics, the chemistry is a bomb.
The Japanese never cease to amaze me, these people are either so pure that they do not even touch each other with their eyes or flat out suck each other down to the soul, what a barbarity.

Short follow up to The Novelist
Overall: This is an 11 minute continuation of the story from The Novelist (aka Pornographer). Watched on Viki.Content Warnings: none
What I Liked: (very minor spoilers)
- some sweet moments like the head on the shoulder at the end
- communication about the letters
- that kiss is no dead fish lip press haha
- the car seemed to match the pale pink of the cherry blossoms
- the ending song
- (neutral) they used the same music that is in The Novelist which is either a nice call back or recycling to save money...
Room For Improvement:
- the kick from the sister was unnecessary
- the intro music doesn't match the vibe of the show

Very short and leaves you hanging
I think it was on purpose for the next installment. It was short and at the end it makes you think, what does kijima actually feels deep inside? We never got to know but this short movie makes you curious on purpose on what his facial expression meant. Even when they are happy finally being together something is bother Kijima, Is he still yearning for kido while being with kuzumi or was it because he's still hurt with no confidence on taking this happiness he wants that kuzumi puts out for him or he's scared of hurting kuzumi. lots of possibilities only with that one facial expression, damn they are so good.Was this review helpful to you?
Díval jsem se na tento krátký film ze zvědavosti, jestli mě upoutá natolik, abych se vrátil "v čase" a zhlédl i seriál Pornographer z r. 2018-9. Příběh je na oko jednoduchý, ale co mě nejvíce zaujalo bylo to, že herci, ač oba hetero a vypadající velmi mladistvě na to, kolik je už jim ve skutečnosti let (35+41), dokázali tak dokonale ztvárnit "obyčejný" polibek. Prostě nestydí se zahrát scénu tak, aby byla přesvědčivá, uvěřitelmá, pravdivá. Toto jsem zažil pouze u Japonců z celé Asie v některých jejich filmech, jež tady také máme. Jinak jsou to v Asii mezi "heteráky", kteří hrají BL projekty či gay vztahy vesměs jen rybí pusinky, chladné, bezcitné přitištění rtů. Ne, není to tím, že bych byl nějaký maniak, ale toto mě asi nejvíce zaujalo. Do seriálu se určitě pustím ...

Good. The kissing was the best in the Movie!!!
WHAT THE ....heck was this kiss O_O ??????? I have never seen in any Movies/Series that they kissed so passionately, wildly...... and for so long.......why didn't the two already kiss in the Movies before? Why they didn´t slept together ? Unfortunately, this is far too short for a Movie - why only 12 minutes? I would have liked to see more of this couple. :-OOOOOO
They killed me with that kiss. OMG Lol.

It was Good but too short.
