Twisted, Twists with Killer Humour...

This short and very odd drama, is beautifully filmed with great use of angles colors and symbolism here and there (you just have to look for it), it is easy to forget that 90% of the drama is filmed in the same room.

Shirasu Jin acting here is nothing less but brilliant, being both extremely sweet and an evil, evil gorgeous, devil...
Motokariya Yuika timid but strong was also well preformed.

This drama is twisted on so many levels, and I will admit not all great and some twists were more predictable than other and one heck of a twist in the end... pushing the score for an 7,5-8 to an 8.5-9 ish...

The drama is highly bingeable (it is very short), has no annoying characters, and really has killer dark humour for those who do not mind laughing at evil and murder... With killer cooking scenes, with food beautiful enough to die for... Yet oddly not the least bit appetising... And may make you want to become a vegetarian (if your are not already) But very pretty indeed.

Definitely not a drama for everybody, but 6 laughs in 6 episodes is a pretty ok score in my book...

Is the rabbit god or a physical representation of guilt?

Above all else, everything about the production and the acting is superb. Major props to the direction and lighting department because the atmosphere and the cinematography are on point from start to finish. The strong Christian theming is consistent not only in the episode titles but in the sound design and the dialogue as well. At times, I felt as though I could hear the organ pass judgment on the characters as it sang its requiem. For a horror/thriller that wants you to know that there is never truly a moment of peace between you and your sins, these elements come together flawlessly... even if the music did seem to be a bit distracting in places.

The story itself is well-crafted, but it wound up being reliant on predictable twists - partly because it does a fantastic job of laying out clues for the audience to pick up on and partly because the tropes the plot settled on feel a bit underwhelming for the genre. Make no mistake: it is meant to be a messed up tale, but certain details in the execution just were not my cup of tea even for horror.

I have never read the manga this miniseries is adapting, but Nana's story is very reminiscent of the way people cope with religious trauma. Each time she talks about Ryo in religious terms instead of directly stating what he did to her gives off the strong impression that she struggles to frame what happened to her in a way that doesn't use Christianity as an explanation or justification. With that in mind, I am left with far more questions than answers.

All in all, I would recommend this series to anyone in search of a story that makes you think and maybe leaves you a bit confused.

Freakishly impressive

There is something about jdramas...
They pull off bizarre and odd concepts exceptionally well.

After reading the synopsis, it sounded like something my 13-year-old 'vampire diaries' obsessed self would come up with as a prompt for a mystery novel on Wattpad (I do not write btw). Diving into the show and anticipating the rest of the plot, I was caught off-guard by its strangeness. The pilot episode set the tone and atmosphere accurately.

Nana was seemingly poignant but remarkably toxic and crazy. I didn't understand the neighbor's existence as a character and what she added to the story. Her arc was sadly left unexplored. I didn't expect familiar faces, but Aguni (AIB) with hair, a mustache and a seemingly younger face was a pleasant surprise.

The setting was restricted and monotonous, but its significance was well-explained. A continuous sense of eeriness lurked around, making the mood tense and gripping. Moreover, I enjoyed the color grading, the SYMBOLISM and the overall cinematography. It was extremely short (jdramas yay) and thoroughly binge-able.

Their shot at dark humor didn't work out from my point of view, and maybe I would've appreciated its eccentricity a little more if it had been any longer. The ending pretty much got messed up, but in a good way(?)

Certainly not for everyone especially the lighthearted.
