GOODDDD
I started the series with a lot of excitement since there were two elements that I LOVE: Nam Joohyuk ofc lol and the fact that it's an action/crime series. To be honest the first part was so good but I don't know about the second part... I got a little lost, maybe it was my fault but I think I would have preferred a different dynamic between the characters.
It was DEFINITELY too short but apparently there will be a sequel AND THIS IS GOOD, I CAN'T WAIT.
Nam Joohyuk's acting gave me goosebumps and it's not the first time, I hope to see him again soon (we miss you <3)
Overall I really recommend it!

You need to be evil to kill evil
Loved it! Loved it ! Loved it!Story is about how the law system is twisted. It only favors people who are in power or have money. I think not only one country's law is corrupt, but the whole world law system has corruption in it, more or less.
Our hero, Kim Ji Yong has turned into evil himself to kill evil. Became a fan of Nam Joo Hyuk. Loved his acting. The way he played a psychic character who is after criminals. The way he smirked, his facial expression was mindblowing.
Cho Heon is an honest cop but looks like he is corrupted. Yoo Ji Tae is fully changed here. I last saw him in Healer. He is a big macho man with bodybuilding & everything. Did he change his physique only for this role??
At first, I thought Choi Mi Ryeo was doing all this only for fame & name or for her channel rating. As the story progressed, it turned out that she was doing it for justice, which she never received.
Honestly, I didn't like Cho Kang Ok. He did everything for fun. But in the end it turned out to be something else.
Felt bad for Kim Ji Yong friend.
Will there be S2?? The ending did imply S2, but I read that it got cancelled.

Good Enough
Korean Drama '' Vigilante '' is a webtoon-based action drama. The theme of the drama is quite interesting, and there are a lot of crime cases that are dark and intense. The antihero twist was also nicely handled, and the performances of the main leads were strong enough to support the plot.
However, the drama suffered from its short length. Halfway through, things started getting rushed and the story didn't develop as smoothly as it should. At least the action scenes were enjoyable.
So, overall, six out of ten for the Korean Drama '' Vigilante ''.

Could have been far better!
The story of a dark hero leading a dual life fighting for justice has always been a popular one. Most of us have grown up watching the likes of Batman. Now we are presented with a Korean webtoon adaptation of the dark hero character called Vigilante who fights crime in the shadows and doesn't mind to kill. But the story doesn't seem much appeasing as the events could be predicted pretty easily from the early parts of the story. The life of the connected characters' and how they ended up where they were at that point in time should've been better flushed out. Instead all we get is just simple brooding MC and his vigilantism activities. But the funny thing is that the MC doesn't even bother covering his face in a well CCTV connected country like South Korea and he gets away with it every time.
Hope the next season, if it happens, have a decent storyline and better flushed out characters.
Here hoping and even with all its faults I have to admit this really was a good one time watch.

I’m being as generous as I can; it’d have been a 10 last year and my easy 10s but it was my 2023 resolution to stop thatSo basically, nam joohyuk was a 100/10, acting, character fit, handsomeness and oozing gorgeousness
Ahjussi oppa as well did great
The shortcomings for me is the “bad guys” and the lack of overall deep buildup
It had Bloodhounds vibes but it also lacked in making up for the shortcomings, ie bromance and more character drive
It was certainly rushed, and I do have an add on filter when bad guys chitchat and nag so they made zero impact on me
Maybe it needed a bit more victim drive, ie the sadness, tension and anger of victims
Something to add a touch of humanity
Bad guys are crazy trash but wanting to punish them deprives the human connection
People need sympathy, kindness otherwise the vigilantes are just psychopaths hidden under a hero cape
Hot psychopaths but still. Also not at iPhone for turning hot into not, it must think im crazy to use hot and psychopath in the same sentence

I honestly really liked this show it was really good. I didn't like really like the ending though, was a bit sad about it. I would honestly recommend this to someone if they liked this type of genre like I do. During the show I wondered how Kang-Ok figured out that Ji-yong was vigilante. I think the actors did a pretty good job. I loved kang ok and how he was so obsessive. This has a good performance. Was this review helpful to you?

An Exciting Crime Thriller
How often have we questioned the leniency of the judicial system?Adapted from the webtoon, “Vigilante” ( 비질란테) written by CRG and starring Nam Joo Hyuk in the lead role, Disney+ latest psychological thriller answers this question and some more. After “The Worst of Evil”, I was expecting another exciting ride and “Vigilante” doesn’t disappoint. It is a rather fast-paced crime thriller that will instantly grab your attention and make you venture a guess about the protagonist’s thoughts. It is indeed a dark sojourn, no prizes for guessing that. Frankly, “Vigilante” represents all those victims who failed to gain justice against their evil perpetrators. It is gusty, violent and likely justified, even though there might be many who can’t accept the brutality extended by the main lead towards various assailants. The main character’s duality and his complex emotions form the gist of this storyline. What I loved about this show is that the script doesn’t shy away from using violence as a viable means to punish outlaws who escape punishments using the loopholes in the judicial system. Nam Joo-hyuk’s uncanny transformation from a romantic hero to an action hero delivering justice is surprising and shocking. The first two episodes project an anti-hero in the making, who hightails as a police academy student on weekdays and as the “Vigilante” on weekends.

But wait, it gets better! We've got a gangster like cop, Cho Heon, hot on the Vigilante's trail, a gutsy news reporter named Choi Mi Ryeo feeding him intel, and let's not forget about Cho Kang Ok, the ultimate superfan who's itching to join Team Vigilante.
The drama doesn't hold back on the action, suspense, or the occasional jaw-dropping plot twist. You'll find yourself glued to the screen, heart racing as our heroes navigate the murky waters of vigilantism and the law. And let me tell you,
Nam Joo Hyuk absolutely kills it in this role. Gone are the days of romantic leads; he's here to kick butt and take names, and I am here for it!

Vigilante: An Underrated Action Masterpiece That Deserves More Attention, in My Opinion!❣️
Vigilante is hands down one of the best action K-dramas I've seen this year! It's such an underrated gem that deserves more love. I was hooked from the first episode and couldn't stop watching. The cast is incredible, and Nam Joo Hyuk's performance in his first action genre drama was outstanding. The story is absolutely captivating. The anti-hero concept is amazing, and I totally wish there were more episodes too. I don’t like some characters, but there are always characters we don't like in most series, but that's part of the fun. After finishing Vigilante, I couldn't help but think that we need a season 2 ASAP. Plus, it's a shame that not many people are talking about it. Overall, it's definitely one of the top K-dramas released this year, and I highly recommend it!!??Was this review helpful to you?

Vigilante story done right
It's been a short while since I finished the show so I wanted to share my thoughts. The story:
This show truly delivers in what it promises; a vigilante story. It's well-executed from start to finish with great acting from all cast members. The story grabs you in and you don't realise how much until the credits rolls. The ending was exactly what I hoped for. One man can't alone change the system, but he can create a spark that could burn it down. And there'll always be someone who'll try to fight against corruption and evil-minded humans.
The OSTs:
There has rarely been a show where I've been obsessed with the sound design as I've been with this show. From the song choices to the score choices, it just fit perfectly and elevated the show to a next level. As I'm writing this review, no OSTs or scorealbum have been released. It's a shame because this show's sound was phenomenal.
So I'm excited to see if this one gets a second season, but the first one is plenty enjoyable alone.

Just to give a different perspective

Seems it’s so so hyped, so just thought of copying the comment I have written earlier.
Not so great, unless u have time. Plot is pretty weak. No depth in characters or relationships. No thrilling moments or suspense, bland.
Acting was good. Decent action sequences. It’s 7 imo.
