Somewhere in between painful to watch and a really well done drama, but I still enjoyed it!
For the first three episodes of this series, I really didn't enjoy it at all and found it insanely cringey. For some reason though, I decided to give it a chance and continue, and I'm really glad I did!Although there were still parts that made me cringe, and moments that just felt awkward, there were also plenty of wholesome, meaningful and emotional parts in the story. The characters were all developed really well I think, and although sometimes the romance felt a bit rushed, overall the relationships between all of them felt really genuine.
I wouldn't run around recommending to watch it, but if you're thinking of it, definitely do!

I knew about Ahn Hyoseop from Red Sky so I expect him to be great as the main lead. But dang, if I thought he was such a charmer before... I can't even describe my thoughts about him now. Taemoo was really an adorable character and Hyoseop really excel in bringing out Taemoo's many charms as well as inner turmoil. I never thought this drama could be so adorable with all the chaebol tropes as well as the many cliches but here we are.
I've seen quite a number of dramas Sejeong was in, and I have to say... it's about time we see her in a proper romcom. Like the last time I see her work was I wanna hear your song and that was more a mystery thriller rather than romcom. I love the fact the Hari was written to be so quirky since that kinda traits fit Sejeong's character so well.
I really enjoyed the story and the comedy and I have to say, I wished that the drama could be longer. Like the two main couples were very cute and easy on the eyes and the grandfather was cute and even Youngseo's cousin was charming. And I love how the drama also include a makjang parody which was quite in contrast with the main romcom storyline. I wouldn't be surprised if Hyoseop gonna win Best Couple this year for the third year in a row www

YES to everything
I'm really enjoying these few shorter dramas that have been coming out recently! Honestly, more shows should opt for the 12-episodes format. This one was a lot of fun! Two wonderful, ridiculously good looking couples with HEAPS of chemistry (romantic and friendship-wise), fun characters, a fast pace and good use of the typical romance tropes.
Even the production value for this drama was awesome! All the special effects and little animations were quite good.
I'm SO EXCITED for season 2!

Ahn Hyoseop, on the other hand, portraying Kang Taemoo was so new and refreshing to me. It was my first time seeing him take on the role of a chaebol. However, I think Ahn Hyoseop delivered the character well despite the negative reviews about his acting. I was also impressed by how fluent he was in English, but then I remembered he's Canadian haha
But what I really love most about this series is the adorable chemistry between the 4 main leads. They all got great chemistry with each other: Taemoo and Hari, Sunghoon and Youngseo, Taemoo and Sunghoon, and Hari and Youngseo.
Hari and Youngseo's friendship was my favorite. It felt like they've really known each other for a long time, almost developing the same personality with each other.

Lackluster ending ruined the show
The drama stood out from other rom coms because the story was fast paced and the misunderstandings were resolved quickly. The show never took itself seriously and put a fun twist on the usual kdrama tropes. After episode 7 the drama started losing it's uniqueness but nevertheless the romantic moments between these two were great. It was the last two episodes with unnecessary angst and loose ends not resolved that ruined it for me.The grandfather from a sweet character became annoying and petty. We never even get to see him warm up to the heroine. The two main characters kept on hiding their relationship till they were caught . The other couple had more guts though I didn't like how SFL's relationship with her father was shown. The proposal scene should have happened in episode 11. The viewers deserved a double wedding and lots of fun moments between the main character's families. Indeed for those who have read the webtoon the ending of the show was even harder to accept. The wedding and love scene which happens the night of their wedding was better than the sudden and awkward hookup which happens in episode 11. Also once he falls in love Kang completely loses his personality and in some ways the heroine as well. Last but not the least her final scene with minwoo seems to imply that she may still have feelings for him. This was the last nail in the coffin. Was this review helpful to you?

Romantic but not enough plot
It dragged quite a lot but then really picked up towards the end. The time skip ending was so not good though 😭 really disappointing. The second leads were more engaging to me because their storyline didn't have to drag on because they didn't have as much screen time to fill. Lead girl was really engaging second guy was really hot. How many more words do I have to write please let me end this review now my drama list. I giggled I also laughed at various points. I did also tear up. Seriously I'm so annoyed at the time skip they were getting so interesting FINALLYWas this review helpful to you?

A comfort rom-com
A Business Proposal became one of my favorites rom-com K-Dramas of all time. I did not expect this to happen, but the chemistry between the two couples and the personalities of every character in the show is so good that I was absorbed.I started watching it when Netflix started to upload the episodes to their site. I know Kim Se Jeong from the Produce 101 series and became curious about her acting career, and she is a really good actress! Although I have not read the original webtoon –and then I do not know the character in the original work– I found Shin Ha Ri a really loveable character with a fun and energetic personality that does not feel tiresome for me. I like her development in the show and her chemistry with the male lead, Kang Tae Moo. He is quite the cliché “handsome and rich Korean CEO with a sad trauma” but is likable, I like him, at least he is not a walking red flag and is so sweet with the female lead. Ahn Hyo Seop did a good job portraying him and I became interested in him as an actor.
However, it is true that the main couple of the show is funny, likable, and has good chemistry, but the second couple just stole the show. Kim Min Gue and Seol In Ah have really good chemistry, their character development is great, and their relationship evolution feels so good to me. I am happy for the work the screenwriters and directors did and the effort they put into these two scenes. I like how they communicate their needs and limits and explain misunderstandings. For me, it is important that Cha Sung Hoon and Jin Young Seo's relationship is not so idealized and have this growth factor, she works on herself to be more independent, and he supports her in a very good way. It is probably the bare minimum, but at the same time, I have watched so many shows with this “I will change him!” topic that I am happy to have a couple that it is not perfect and can solve their problems in a healthy way for each other.
On the other hand, I did not like the grandfather evolution because for me it was way too much overextended. I could accept that there could be things that he does not like, and he cannot forget so easily, but I did not even feel his “antagonist” role so much fit his development. And the end of the show was not satisfying for me, I felt it was rushed and not properly developed, it just happened in less than a few minutes and the closing was “Oh, okay, so now all is solved because of magic so let’s end the show”.
To sum up, the show has become one of my favorite and comfort rom-com Korean shows. It could have been better, but it is quite good. I found it enjoyable till almost the end.

Heartwarming and funny.
I watched this in 2 days period. It was calming, funny and heartwarming.I enjoy watching female lead actor, she has extraordinary mimics and acting style. Other than that this tv serie had lots of cliches but they combined it and pulled it of very well. They themselves made fun with their cliches with the scenes characters watching fake tv series in the show.
One bad thing is 12 episode was a little bit more than needed for this story. 9-10 episodes would be ideal, or 11 at most. I strongly recommend watching it though!

cute lil romcom !!
It's a cute short romcom. At its 12 episode count, it's not that big of an investment to make. The plot has been done countless times before, however the show is surprisingly refreshing, because of its comedy moments. The comedy made the show shine. The chemistry between both of the couples are really strong and I enjoyed seeing them fall in love. Despite the show being cliche it made fun of the fact that it had cliches with the grandpa's favorite show lol. The ending is where it really fell off. It was way to rushed! and the grandpa doing a complete 180 was just lazy writing. I understand that thier needed to be some conflict but it wasn't natural AT ALL.I'd recommend it if you have an empty weekend where you want to turn your brain off, and watch a fluffy drama!!

English is not my first language, sorry for the grammar error.
I honestly had a lot of expectation for this drama, which is why I am tad disappointed. I really like the storyline, visuls, and acting, but the plot flow was really slow despite it being 12 episodes. She kept rejecting him until epsiode 9 and expected a lot of sweet moments after that, which wasn't bad. Then a big problem arises that could have been solved in one episode but they kept going with it. And I thought they would have atleast ep 12 be all about them but the issue kept going until ep 12 which caused them to be in a long distance relationship. I read the webtoon version of this, and I know the webtoon and the drama is suppose to be different, but I thought they would atleast include the wedding scene at the end or the proposal scene(she ends up proposing) which I thought was a big character development for FL because she always cared about people's opinions about her relationship. I also like how grandpa loved her even when they revealed who she was. He was a little mad but it wasn't bad at all. And he never got sick in the webtoon. Overall it was funny, good, and steamy. But the plot was kind of slow for me.Was this review helpful to you?
One of the best rom-coms
This drama was honestly a very big surprise for me. At first I had ignored it because I didn't really know anyone in the cast apart from Kim Mingue, but I decided to watch it after I had seen so many people praising the chemistry between the leads - and they were right for doing so!This drama has an amazing cast which does such good job at portraying the roles. Not only the romance is incredible, but also the friendships. There were pure friendships, where people support each other, listen to each other, have fun and -sometimes- get drunk XD
When people say that this drama is like a cup of hot chocolate during the cold winter, they are absolutely right! This drama immediately improves your mood and it is just what you need as a break from the stress of daily life thanks to its lighthearted nature and easy-to-follow plot.
I totally recommend this to everyone!
