Cliché, BUT good!
'A Business Proposal' is THE prime example of how you should write a cliché story! I mean, this show didn't change the genre or the world, BUT the fact that every episode contained more cliché than other shows in 16 episode overall and still remained good, says a LOT about the writers! Only for this, it's worth a 6/10 rating. I didn't mention the fantastic acting, OST and the direction! The use of editing and VFX is one of the best I've seen so far! I don't want to speak too much about the story because it's a typical love story, and let's be honest, it's not good because of the story, it's good because of the way they made it. People who didn't watch it yet, will love it more if they will know most important thing about this show: It's basically a parody of the romcom genre!My only complaint, as usual, is that the finale was a complete MESS! Never going to understand why they want to finish the story in almost every KDrama in the finale, when they obviously don't have enough time for that. Also, I'm not familiar with the Manhwa, but I know that the show didn't cover half of the story. That's why I'm still hoping that they will do a 2nd season someday, but they probably won't, because if they would want to, we would've heard about that now.

A heartwarming cliche
This show was so heartwarming and funny. The relationships are well thought out and developed. The is the right way to do a cliche. There were also some very sexy scenes in the show. Nothing too graphic though. It definitely felt like you were seeing every side to their relationship. Every episode keeps you on your toes and going for more. Overall, this is a very heartwarming and funny romcom cliche with a bit of a mature side. This show is very balanced as well, and places every scene at it's needed time. I love the way the relationships were portrayed and think they did a very good job adapting this webcomic. I highly recommend it!Was this review helpful to you?
perfect romantic comedy
if you love romance you must watch this one.everything is just RIGHT in this comedy. it's easy to watch, it's light, it's funny, there is the right amount of turn around, the right amount of laughs and you have characters' development. it's full of cliches, but it is so well done that everything just slide down the throat.
synopsis; Hari and Youngseo are best friends since school. but, if Youngseo is a chaebol (a rich heir), Hari's parents run a fried chicken restaurant and have a lot of debts. she works in a big corporate as food researcher and support her parents. one day Youngseo ask Hari to go to a blind date in her name and do whatever is needed to push the pretender away... the problem is, the so called pretender has already decided to marry whoever will show up at his first blind date.
what I liked; the 2 main leads know how to kiss. It was my first time watching a Korean drama and being excited by the loving touch of the actors. Koreans actors don’t know how to kiss, but I promise these two do. just because of that, this drama is now one of my favorites.
what I didn't like; the end was a little short and lacked a sense of closure.
when to watch; not for under 15 viewers (sex scenes).
go all in and invite your lover. you will have a good time! say hi to Samantha and Rachel for me!

O melhor tipo de cliche
Amei demais esse drama!! Eu realmente recomendo, especialmente para pessoas que estão começando a assistir Doramas agr, é fofo, divertido e não fica chato. Esse foi o primeiro drama que assisti e o motivo pelo qual me apaixonei por k dramas. O relacionamento de Ha Ri e Tae Moo é muito fofo e bem desenvolvido. Os personagens secundários são incríveis! Na minha opinião, o romance dos personagens secundários foi tão bom quanto se não ainda melhor que o principal. Não ou muito confiável quando falo sobre dramas com o Ahn Hyo-Seop, porque eu amo muito ele e o jeito que ele atua. Funny but cheesy and predictable!
Funny but cheesy and predictable! I think the pace was also too slow for me.. They could've added more scenes instead of dragging certain scenes and then finishing it off quickly.The first episodes were refreshing and makes you expect much more than what the series actually delivers. However, few episodes in and you can already predict the ending.
If bored and has nothing else to watch then this is for you, because it has funny and cute scenes, but sometimes it can get a bit too cheesy.

Samantha and Rachel, the Twins
Funny Cliché Story much much tamer than the WebtoonI did a major eye roll when starting this with GF, it was going to be another cold good looking Chaebol Heir falling head over heels with poor or average girl because she's so special. I mean that is soooo gonna happen right?
It turned out to be better than expected. No thinking required for this type of cliché drama. It pokes fun of typical Asian drama clichés and at itself. There were some absolutely hilarious scenes in the first half of the show. The first blind date was pee in your pants funny. That scene really nailed it. Samantha and Rachel? Who was the writer who thought of that? Let's just say the FL violated every proper and conservative S. Korean blind date etiquette. WOWZA for the FL's clothing choices in the dates. The drunken scene of the two FLs was pretty comedic, they are two really cute girls. The chemistry between the leads was good for the most part.
I would say probably about 3/4 of it was funny and kept your attention. As it got down to the last few episodes, it wasn't that great and felt like the gas ran out. Things felt kind of forced for closure and between the leads.
It's a light hearted funny show that is worth watching for some laughs and to lighten one's mood.

If you want a cliché rom-com then watch A Bussiness Proposal
This kdrama was a must watch when the trailer came out, everyone was talking about it and it's the usual rom-com clichés we all enjoy from time to time, myself included.And I enjoyed it, a lot.
Some things were a bit too much sometimes thought. I love Ahn Hyo Seop's acting and he did a great job as Tae Moo but sometimes it was a bit awkward and he really felt like he was plaing a character, even in the drama, which isn't exactly good since he's supposed to be that character.
Kim Se Jeong played an amazing Hari and Young Seo's best friend. Watching, I really felt like they were friends for a long time. Both Se Jeong and Seol In Ah played their characters to a T.
Kim Min Gue, as usual, played an awesome Cha Sung Hoon, and had great chemistry, both with Hye Seop and In Ah.
The second lead couple had amazing chemistry and maybe they should've more screentime.
The main cast was really good overall and I totally recommend watching this kdrama.

Done before, but we still love it
There's not much to say about this drama, honestly (I say, as I write an essay about it). It's your classic rom-com format with a bunch of clichés thrown in it and, yet, it's difficult to dislike this drama. It's not revolutionary by any means, but it's still a nice love story, with endearing characters and, well, I think clichés are so famous and utilized for a reason. They just work, and combined with the lighthearted plot, it becomes a very easy watch.Ever since I saw Ahn Hyoseop in The Abyss I liked him and decided to follow his career more closely. All I can say is that I was not disappointed. He and the other actors are good in their performances and have good chemistry with one another. Aside from the main couple (which I obviously loved), I really enjoyed seeing the friendship between Hari and Youngseo. Finally a good female friendship where there's no rivalry between them. They are sweet and truely support each other. I guess I can say the same about Taemoo and Sunghoon, since in a lot of dramas two dudes end their friendship beacuse they like the same woman or something like that. In fact, this drama feels very refreshing since there's not really love triangles and a lot of the misunderstandings are solved quickly, without that usual unnecessary drag.
Another smart choice was actually making the drama with only 12 episodes. Unlike even other romance shows, this drama didn't really have a secondary plot or something else developing in the background. It was basically solely focused on the relationships between the characters, so they really had no material to make a full 16 episode show. Still, there were a few episodes after the main couples gets together that feel a bit boring, but they gain traction again towards the end.
There were also a few other things that bothered me a bit. I think some characters and subplots didn't receive proper closure, such as Youngseo's cousin and the whole thing with Yoora and Minwoo. Besides that, the ending itself was kinda disappointing. Taemoo and Hari did everything to not have to get separated and stay together, just for them to get separated anyway in the end. Not to mention the time skip, which just feel so overdone and lazy at this point.
There's also some other minor neative points in this show, although they're very common in dramas in general, like women waiting for the man to take the initiative and seek them first, cringy CGI, rejection portayed not as a "no", but as a "try a bit harder and I might say yes", or the RIDICULOUS amount of alcohol people consume in dramas. This one, in particular, I feel like happened at least once per episode and there was constantly someone getting drunk in the story. Please can we just stop condoning unhealthy habits like this or playing it off as cute or as a joke?
Still, I digress, because I think these negative points were pretty minor, specially in comparison with the positive ones. The only people who, I think, should not watch Business Proposal are the ones who either hate rom-coms or clichés. Otherwise, this drama will probably pleasy the majority of the public.

A RomCom that knows what it's doing
Do you remember the first romcom you watched/read? That heady feeling, that foolish grin, the rolling of the eyes at absurd behaviour, going weak in the knees at the first confession of love?Business Proposal brings all of that back. Sure, it's not the most original of plots. If viewed under a magnifying glass, you'll spot a couple of problematic stereotypes and narratives. But, the show is SO fun, so self-aware, so well-acted, you will let all the loopholes and problems slide. Just this once.
Though a romcom, what really stood out for me was the female friendship. Pure chaos and full of unyielding loyalty as young women best friendships are meant to be. I think I probably got hooked to the show because of that (and the Rachel & Samantha scene. Holy God, that scene is the OG of all meet cutes)
A Business Proposal is a cliched romcom that knows what its doing. Give it a watch when you're feeling down and let Shin Ha-Ri lift your spirits!

Another CEO meets pretty girl next door love story
Nothing new with the plot, a too serious CEO and the crazy but pretty girl next door found each other through unique situation and managed to fall in love and somehow made it work.I also like that there are some minor love story on the side to keep the viewers entertained and interested. Out of the four couples, three pairs managed to have their version of happy ending.
Good actors with matching good OST. It's really good to watch, pretty entertaining.. I just feel that the final episode was rushed. This show is a pretty entertaining journey with a bit mediocre ending

Back to the drama, it was proven to be very good, they really did a really good job. The story was absolutely cliche, that rich man and poor woman story, but the actors chemistry just unquestionable, the editing superb, the soundtrack is a perfect fit that eventually makes me so attached to characters and also this drama only has 12 episode, so everything is solid.
This show makes me laugh, laugh, laugh, laugh and gave me goosebump everytime the romantic scenes take places and...
...... it's just a great guilty pleasure.

Worth the hype?
Honestly, i went into this drama knowing it’s a going to be cliche story and don’t me wrong i like those but for some reason i didn’t like this as much. For me, the second lead couple are so MUCH better than the main lead couple. They seem to have more chemistry than the main lead couple. In my opinion, I didn’t like the acting of the male lead in this drama. I feel like they are try to make this actor more “serious” and “scary” in a way but those scenes were cringey. I mean i should expected that from a cliche drama i guess. Also, don’t me wrong, im not trying to say the actor isn’t good at acting. Personally, i’m a fan of his other dramas he has done and liked his acting in those dramas but i feel like he wasn’t right for this role.
