Bernard Bautista was left blindsided by his brother's sudden death from a hiking incident. He fell into deep grief, along with a desire to answer questions that can only be conquered through empathy. Stepping into Marcus' shoes, Bernard wanted to witness, firsthand, what the mountains possessed to make his brother come back over and over, facing more risk one journey after another. Later on, he finds out why and understands inexplicable reasons Marcus might have had to be willing to face the hardships every trail had to offer in order to reach innumerable summits. Days after his first hike, as he gets back to his normal life, Bernard comes across with a photo of his brother, and written behind it was an enlightening reminder: "The world is too beautiful in one place." Upon reading this, Bernard remembers the things he had recently seen and realizes what his brother had been persuading him for all this time. Marcus might have died young but he made the most out of his days, whereas Bernard has not done anything that made sense to himself. This drives him out of his denial and anger, into a journey that lets him confront what seemingly drags him so: grief. Edit Translation
