A masterpiece
I've never watched any Asian drama / any BL drama in my whole life but when I’ve discovered Cutie Pie I instantly fell in love with the show. I would wait for Saturday so hard, as I couldn’t find the quality and statements of Cutie Pie in any other drama. I’ve learn a lot about the BL industry throughout the months and I’m super happy that P’Aof decided to do a show that highlights the struggle surrounding LGBTQIA+ rights and not just queerbait about them like many series does. Can we also talk about the very talented NuNew who just proved that he can basically do anything perfectly ? Sing, dance, act, talk 5 different languages… It was his very first role and he nailed it ! Zee is phenomenal as well ! He portrayed many different kinds of feelings in a very cold-hearted character, which is very difficult to do, and the chemistry between him and NuNew is HUGE ! I really hope they’ll do many more shows together !
I’ll miss so much about this ! Thumb up to Foei who is the best characters that has ever existed !!!

I have absolutely no idea why this show is as popular as it is?!
This was great, I think depending on my mood or how much I miss the characters/actors I would rewatch it! definetly adding the songs sang by NuNew to my playlist <3The production was amazing except for transitions some had abrupt cuts and the music change between was like a jumpscare lol the story was cute but a hot mess tbh I have absolutely no idea why this show is as popular as it is?!
Syn was my fav!! <3 and the assistants both from Yi and Lian they were hilarious made up the entire show.
Syn and Nuer need to have a spinoff PLEEASEEE!! they were the 'greenest' couple and I need an detailed background of why Syn seems to live at a temple and Nuer's pressure because he changed course half way and why? if not pls act together again that kissing scene in the club woah the C H E M I S T R Y (saw that they are acting in Our Winter when it's finished airing I'll watch it).
Now all the kissing scenes *chefs fucking kiss* but the tongue and I mean every couple did tongue even when I expected it, it still suprised me not that I'm complaining BUT the second hand embarrassment I got from all the PDA, public kissing and that proposal omg save my poor little heart (the assistant Foei reacting to all the PDA tho truly hilarious love him!!)
I have so many questions which should be answered in naughty babe but Yi and Khondiao were my least favourite couple and they are the mains for that one so still on the fence if I should watch it maybe I will if I get super curious.
The fights with the curfew, lying, misunderstanding, bankrupcy literally didn't understand why it was happening came out of nowhere some of these should have not even been a problem. So many questions like why did Kuea have to be perfect? why did Lian say he didn't love him? why did Lian turn so cold? what's up with the arranged marriedge/ how did the families even know each other to get their kids into this uneccessary situation? and the reasoning for things was eye roll motivation, no i do not accept that as your answer its straight up stupidity. Don't get me started that at one point i was wondering if everyone was just straight up toxic?? like u cannot just be that controlling and possesive tf
Whoever recommended this under Love in the Air clearly made a mistake anyway like Syn said where there is a show you love there is also pain or smth like that. Sadhu!!

The plot is uniqe, its about a same sex engeggment which is rare!
The soundtrack is good to hear and the sinematograpy is very great. The main actor acting skill is very nice and their chemistry is over power. They like Comfortable for each other and its great to watcg

Wonderful for what it is!
I'm gonna point out main characteristics of the show that I liked. You may or may not like these, and that's okay!PLOT/WRITING:
Clichéd arranged marriage trope with typical top x bottom behaviours. Lian and Kuea just circle around keeping the engagement by indirectly discovering more about each other (heavily through a lot of lovey-dovey moments and some lovemaking scenes). LGBT+ issues are pointed out here and there, while the main couple have discussions on same-sex marriage in Thailand (both of which make sense to me and did not come off as preachy, considering that this is a BL show with a premise of arranged marriage).
CONFLICT:
The main sources of conflict and drama remind me heavily of telenovelas and teleseryes I watched growing up: lack of communication, characters' individual insecurities, and characters' poor decision-making. Add to that huge problems being solved either abruptly or through trivial solutions. I have an acquired taste for this 'vibe', so even if it did frustrate me during a couple episodes towards the end, it didn't deter me from watching the series.
PRODUCTION/SOUND:
The cinematography is really good. I also loved the OST which comprised of love song ballads and cutesy pop songs. Again, the songs work well for me from an Asian soap opera perspective.
ACTING:
The cast's performances are really good for the script they've been given. Absolutely no stiff neck or dead fish moments with the kissing scenes. I personally think the couples have insane chemistry, and I also think the cast did well in emotional scenes.
Stuff I want to address about other reviews:
This is a fictional show. If the outdated tropes being depicted come off as romanticization to you and you can't help but apply them in your real-life decisions and views, then you are not yet mature enough to watch this. It is perfectly normal to avoid the show altogether.
End note:
I don't know if it's common practice for users on here to keep watching a show they dislike, but I think it's much better to just drop the show if it bores/annoys/stresses you early on and mention that in your review. You do not have to watch the entire thing to justify your opinion on disliking the show. It's OK to dislike things for little to no reason at all, especially when it's about subjective topics such as TV shows!
I'm definitely gonna rewatch this since I enjoyed it. If you're still reading this, I hope you give the show a try and form your own opinions on it, whether you finish watching it or not :)

I got used to it...
Firstly let me say that i give it 7/10 only because of the message in the end of this bl and the side characters. The clear message that isn´t puzzled or anything stupid was nice. If it wasn´t for the message and side characters, I´d give it 6-6.5 max.STORY - I know it might sound weird from someone who supports lgbtq+ community as much as they can but i didn´t actually like the story cuz i just couldn´t understand how can someone arrange a marriage for two guys, especially when society isn´t okay with it and they know that if they do it, society will look down at them. Idk...the whole beggining was kinda not it for me but after few episodes it got better.
ACTING - I don´t have any problem with acting in this bl. All couples and also even not main characters have very good chemistry together. What i definitely helping with that is the fact that for example also in real life they all have really good cheistry together. What shocked me were the kissing scenes...LIKE WHAT WAS THAT?!? I think I can say that i´ve already seen quite few BLs but this one have one of the best kissing scenes I´ve ever seen. I gave it 9.5/10 because sometimes i was cringing a little bit too much, but like who haven´t at least with one BL, right? lol
MUSIC - Very good! I love New´s singing voice and overall the music was really beautiful :>
REWATCH VALUE - Gave it 2/10 because, to be honest, I´d rewatch it mainly for the kissing scenes
OVERALL: 7/10, already explained why
I also get why people give it like 4-6/10. I wanted to give up on this BL after first episode, but I always want to give series at least 2 episodes to impress me because I know that the start may be slower and then I could miss beautiful series. I didn´t gave up on it, because like I said, it got better. The final episode had me cringing sooo much tho lol but it´s propably just my VERY introverted personality because I just couldn´t watch them ( LITTLE SPOILER...IS IT A SPOILER? ) kissing infront of everyone and all the sweet talks lmao. ( END OF THE LITTLE SPOILER ) I wanted to skip the whole part but if i did, i´d skip literally 5 minutes of the final ep lol. Anyways, i enjoyed it :>
Have a good day :)))

Sceptical at first, but I'm glad I gave it a shot
I don’t know how else to put it but Cutie Pie is every BL fan’s yaoi dream. Perfectly flawless men in expensive outfits, fabulously wealthy (and smart), remarkably protective and loving. 100% sensual romance.I was initially sceptical of Cutie Pie because 1. I’ve never been a fan of Zee (couldn’t finish Why R U?, too dull), and 2. The premise sounds like it could turn into a trope-laden cringefest. Also, the first episode was a little hard to get through.
But the series just kept getting better. Who needs a deep plot or complex character development when you can have 100% sensual romantic fluff, rich-person style?
Read: Lian and Yi are absolutely whipped for their guys, and Foei (Lian’s personal assistant) is all of us BL fangirls who are rooting for the couples.
Audiences are treated to a disgustingly clingy and mushy Lian in private. From long, loving gazes to hungry kisses that seem to go on forever, my mind was blown by the sheer quantity and quality of top-notch kisses in this series.
Yi and Diao’s backstory is not revealed upfront, so audiences are largely clueless when their narrative unfolds. I thought their dynamic reminded me of an older sibling being overprotective of his stepbrother, probably because their age gap appeared far more pronounced than ZeeNunew’s. Not sure if it was just their characters, but I thought their romance came off a little awkward and forced.
Lastly, Synn and Nuer. This couple came out of nowhere, but they became whipped cream part 3. They had an understated chemistry that didn’t quite reach its full potential.
Overall, Cutie Pie is a fevered yaoi dream I don’t wanna wake up from.

I honestly don't get the negativity, I absolutely loved this.
After disappearing from bl's for awhile I finally found one that actually got my attention right away. No toxic relationship this time like tharntype or kinnporsche, just a good old engagement between two guys and a lot of humor along the way.Now for starters after I saw the first two episodes, and had to wait for the third one, I bought the book to read what would happen next. It might have helped me understand the characters even more but it doesn't effect my review.
Also the cinematography is simply amazing and blew me away from the start!
I see a lot of negative comments here about the age gap and even grooming but I feel like those people don't know the actual meaning of grooming. The age gap in the books is 20 - 27, which in my country is pretty normal. (while in real life it's 22 -29)
The main couple 'gets engaged' when they're young and they both fall for each other whilst they are growing up. Kuea is convinced he has to keep up an innocent appearance not only for his fiance but also for his family. (the pressure he puts on himself is huge) Lian knows his secrets and loves him either way but he is waiting for Kuea to tell it to him. Throughout the series you see both of them hiding things for each other but they slowly grow closer and show their true selves.
In the book the miscommunication gets cleared way faster but I can see why they went for a somewhat more dramatic ending.
I do want to address the Yi/Diao story a little because it doesn't make much sense in the series. The reason is: Yi's family being in the maffi@ doesn't fit into the whole cute Cutie Pie story. I totally get why they went for another route but the trauma that Diao gets isn't as bad as it was in the books and thus makes no to little sense. (the couple is cute thoug)
A lot of people love the third couple but aside from thinking they're adorable I didn't love them as much as the other two.
The actors are all incredibly talented and Nunew really caught my eye. His first crying scene isn't his best one, I will admit, but the ones afterwards already feel more natural. He also had to act out 2 (!!) persona's for his first ever acting job and he absolutely nailed it. The chemistry was just a plus! (for all couples- but zeenunew took the cake with all the french kissing)
The OST's are amazing, they're almost all made by the actors themselves and even the live performances are so much fun to watch. Nunew's voice is simply amazing and I downloaded even his covers in the series because I couldn't stop listening to them.
As for rewatch value: I already rewatched it and I watched tons of react videos so yes I'd rewatch it again.
If you enjoy wholesome series with a touch of drama, humor and french kissing- look no further, this is perfect for you!

It is an amazing drama absolutely not worth missing!!!
I dont know why people are posting negative reviews, this drama is absolutely aaamazing and i totally recommend watching it although there are a few red flags as to y the main lead starts loving the other lead suddenly and not to forget how they have tried to cover up everything with kisses but i still feel the character personality of all the actors is amazing and kind of fresh and new....Also the ending is a bit bit unsatisfying i mean they could have shown a huge impactful ending but they went with simple
JUST GO WATCH IT WHAT U WAITING FOR
ITS GOOD!!

Steamy, fluff
So many negative reviews, I watched each ep as it premiered. Unique storyline for BL. Nunew did so well for this being his first main role. Some of yall take things way too seriously. Just enjoy it for what it is.I normally do not write reviews but it breaks my heart on how negative people have been and those reviews are the first everyone can see.
I personally never read reviews, before starting a drama. I prefer to form my own opinions before reading biased reviews from salty watchers.

Front or behind the camera's work did a great great job.. this series deserve to be more flex!! Watch it and don't skin any part of it. The cinematic is perfect it gives me a Korean vibes and it feels like watching a big movie in a cinema!! great great series I love it! the artist have their own chemistry that will give you butterflies. You'll see how everyone work hard for this masterpiece. You must watch it first before judging it, Don't judge the book by its cover as they said. Was this review helpful to you?
Light fluff, and messy plot
The first episode shows us a major turning point in their relationship that leads to Kuea wanting to call off their engagement. I was very interested in Lian's motivations and his rationale. Right now, the poor explanation that they provided for Lian's behaviour makes the original plot an excuse to have a major conflict.During the first few episodes, I kept thinking that Lian is the evil, controlling ex. The power imbalance in their relationship is too heavy and it seems like no one is going to address how bad Lian is to Kuea.
The main problems seem to be caused by all the secrets they keep. There's a drunk kiss scene. This is usually whatever for me, but it felt a bit uncomfortable this time.
Though the second couple doesn't interest me, the actors play their roles well and keep me watching their scenes. This is mostly because I'm curious about their past and how they ended up together(?).
I love the familiar faces that were cast in this. I love Gemini and the foreign actor. that plays him. The main actors have a similar age difference to their characters and I appreciate the authenticity. New's music feels good and has a pleasing sound.
I love this show and plan on rewatching Lian's scenes until the show finishes.
