I honestly don't get the negativity, I absolutely loved this.

After disappearing from bl's for awhile I finally found one that actually got my attention right away. No toxic relationship this time like tharntype or kinnporsche, just a good old engagement between two guys and a lot of humor along the way.

Now for starters after I saw the first two episodes, and had to wait for the third one, I bought the book to read what would happen next. It might have helped me understand the characters even more but it doesn't effect my review.
Also the cinematography is simply amazing and blew me away from the start!

I see a lot of negative comments here about the age gap and even grooming but I feel like those people don't know the actual meaning of grooming. The age gap in the books is 20 - 27, which in my country is pretty normal. (while in real life it's 22 -29)
The main couple 'gets engaged' when they're young and they both fall for each other whilst they are growing up. Kuea is convinced he has to keep up an innocent appearance not only for his fiance but also for his family. (the pressure he puts on himself is huge) Lian knows his secrets and loves him either way but he is waiting for Kuea to tell it to him. Throughout the series you see both of them hiding things for each other but they slowly grow closer and show their true selves.
In the book the miscommunication gets cleared way faster but I can see why they went for a somewhat more dramatic ending.

I do want to address the Yi/Diao story a little because it doesn't make much sense in the series. The reason is: Yi's family being in the maffi@ doesn't fit into the whole cute Cutie Pie story. I totally get why they went for another route but the trauma that Diao gets isn't as bad as it was in the books and thus makes no to little sense. (the couple is cute thoug)

A lot of people love the third couple but aside from thinking they're adorable I didn't love them as much as the other two.

The actors are all incredibly talented and Nunew really caught my eye. His first crying scene isn't his best one, I will admit, but the ones afterwards already feel more natural. He also had to act out 2 (!!) persona's for his first ever acting job and he absolutely nailed it. The chemistry was just a plus! (for all couples- but zeenunew took the cake with all the french kissing)

The OST's are amazing, they're almost all made by the actors themselves and even the live performances are so much fun to watch. Nunew's voice is simply amazing and I downloaded even his covers in the series because I couldn't stop listening to them.

As for rewatch value: I already rewatched it and I watched tons of react videos so yes I'd rewatch it again.

If you enjoy wholesome series with a touch of drama, humor and french kissing- look no further, this is perfect for you!
