Daughter of Fire (1983)

Hae Jun, editor-in-chief of the magazine, Daryl's son-in-law of the Christian family, suffers from a nightmare in which a woman in flames asks for salvation every day. Thinking that he may have a neurological disorder, he goes to a psychiatrist, but nothing goes wrong. Through an accidental suggestion, Hae Jun goes to the island of Namhae, where he was born, and begins to unearth the secrets of his birth related to his mother. There, he discovers that his mother is a godly woman, Yong Nyeo, and that his father is a shaman of applause. The woman who appeared every night was her mother who was suffering from passion and plunged into the fire and committed suicide.
