It has been 10 years since Cort/Cortek shut down in 2007 and laid-off workers started fighting. Despite the indifference of the management, the union struggles in various ways. Musicians who used to dream with the Cort guitar join concerts for support. Some union members produce a play and form a band. Many filmmakers have recorded the struggle. This film is different for it is not a documentary but fiction. Three band members act in the film as laid-off workers. The film shows their disappointment towards colleagues, hardships of life, temptations of quitting struggles, and bad feelings about each other. It has poor acting and loose structure. Interestingly, this frame of fiction reveals complicated emotions, bonds, candid feelings, and energy much better. Humor is inseparable from all that. The film, which stands in the border of fiction and reality, looks like a real deal. (Source: JIFF) Edit Translation
