If you're watching this for Im Siwan...
... then you're set. This movie started out promising, but then it just sort of... fell flat? My friend and I ended up guessing the entire series of events that were to proceed, and we kept waiting for the shocking plot twist that would change our minds and elevate our collective opinion of the film, but it never came... except for the ending, which certainly left us intrigued. Did it hint at the possibility that the son wasn't actually dead and that he'd been in cahoots with fake Juyeong the entire time? Or was it the real Juyeong all along, except he got plastic surgery?
This felt less like a thriller and more like a warning regarding our reliance on technology and how smartphones have compromised our security and privacy in a technological world.
If you're an Im Siwan stan, you'll probably make it to the end. Please watch with a friend, because that way you can congratulate each other whenever your guess for what's about to happen next proves right.
Good enough for a one-time watch.

I Expected More
I expected more from this movie, but I wasn't bitterly disappointed. The summary tells you essentially all you need to know about the plot of this movie which is that it's about a girl who gets stalked by a man after losing her phone.Lee Na mi is a young woman who loses her phone on the bus while drunk after a night out. The opening of the movie establishes that Na Mi is a woman who's dependent on her phone-her world essentially revolves around the device so when she loses it and it's picked up by an unknown party, he gains access into her world.
I don't watch movies often because I feel like a lot of the time, more could have been told of the story but due to the 1.30-2hr time limit, often gets omitted. I felt like that was the case with this movie.
There wasn't enough focus on what was meant to be the main focus of the movie-his access into her phone. The killer's M.O is to gain access into his victims' phone and using that access, isolate them from the people in their lives and then kill them. However, the movie spends the bulk of its time having him watch her and take note of her relationships and plot his move. This would've been fine except it put all the focus on the killer and when you watch a thriller, I feel like a driving force behind the emotions of the viewers comes from the fear and distress of the targets/victims-not the methods of the killers/perps. We didn't get enough of Na Mi in distress and living in fear-there wasn't enough build up to how his access into her phone impacted her life, so it was a bit lackluster and made the whole "phone" part of the story unnecessary to me. It could've been omitted, and he could've just been someone who followed her home off the bus, and we'd have had the same result. If they had taken their time to not only show how he used his access to her phone to methodically ruin her life and isolate her from her loved ones but also how that impacted her by making her restless and living in a constant state of fear, distress and distrust and the feeling of endlessly being watched but never knowing who until the final showdown in the house-it would have been much better. What we got, however, was that everything happened too quick, and the movie was over-he blew up her job in one go and her relationship with her best. Her father being removed was a non-factor because she didn't even realize he was missing until the final showdown, and she figured out who he was like the same day he cut out her job and friend from her life. This could've been done better to make it a better thriller, but it was otherwise a fairly good movie.

WELL THIS WAS CHILLING
Spoilers ahead !!!I just finished watching it and omg wowwww
What a literal rollocoaster of emotions.
The movie starts off pretty chill and then gets more and more intense.
Nothing felt rushed. I think the movie was well paced.
The story does a good job showing how even an innocent looking boy could be a serial killer which no one could ever know from a norm perspective.
The fact that now in modern days we as people really live on our phones 24/7 and save all our private information that can actually be hacked with software. This does happen alot irl. Honestly watching the show gave me the chills throughout. It was so creepy how nami was being stalked especially thru her phone cameras etc. Ot makes me feel weirs using my phone right now after watching the show ? I will never install any sus apps after this.
The acting of nami was a 10/10. You could really feel her emotions especially at the ending with her dad.
The plot twist was crazy, I was a lol confused but after reading some explanations now I really understand the who the stalker really is
Some parts are a bit plain like the role of the detectives but ig this movie was soley based on the predator and preys pov.
Nevertheless it was a good watch.

This movie had a really good idea but didn't seem to write it out as well as it could've been. The story felt all over the place until it finally reached to the main focus of the movie. I felt it might've been better in a show format with all the information they wanted to fit in. The characters themselves I found were annoying and I couldn't believe the choices they would make.. Now, I understand this is a horror movie and that's typical of the leads in them, but this was just another level of making silly decisions. It honestly started to make me root for the killer towards the end because of how easy everyone was making it for him. The acting is incredible though. Yim Si Wan is already a given, but Chun Woo Hee's acting was amazing. Especially towards the climax of the movie. She did an incredible job of portraying every emotion.
The "plot-twist" towards the end didn't even really get me and it didn't really fit, in my opinion. It just seemed like they needed another huge moment, but it really fell flat.
Overall, if you're looking for a silly horror movie to watch for entertainment and to laugh then this the pick. It wasn't great, but it was an okay watch.

lee na mi ur average office worker lost her phone and it turned up at a repair shop. from there on she starts getting stalked which leads to a murder mystery including 8 other victims (nami being the 9th one) being solved.
now the thriller aspect was good. the progression of the whole movie was good too and the revelation in the end was the cherry on top. however tho i wouldve loved to know more about the killer. imo this movie couldve been woven into a short series. it wasnt rushedor cramped but the ending couldve been better.
all in all a good watch

New fear Unlocked
I enjoyed watching it but there's nothing spectacular about it. Just like a typical psychopath story. There wasn't even twist and turns. It was a straightforward story. The story of a woman who lost her phone and became a victim of targeted online crime of a serial kiler psychopath. The perspective is unique though because it uses spy-cam like footages and screen recording which made it unique than most common movies/series.
For me, I enjoyed watching it and shouting on my screen to tell the main lead how stupid she was but maybe if I were in her shoe, I might be dumber. It was a fun watch but I might not watch it again. You try it for yourself if you want to be kept on the edge of your seats.

A good one-time watch
The plot is innovative, the characters not that much. What was that ending ??? How can a film end on such a cliffhanger ?? It’s not an open ending at this top !
The plot twist of Jun-yeong not being actually who we thought he was was such a good idea and made me increase the rate by a little a though it was dropping since the moment the cops started to plan something to catch the culprit.
Then talking about the cops, I can’t explain how much I HATE and DESPISE jun yeon’s father ! His character is so useless, dull, dumb and does nothing but cry.

Not too bad but could have been better
From other reviews I've seen, they said this movie was bad enough to skip, but I gave it a shot. I really like the start in which it was giving upbeat vibes and showing how much the phone is truly relied upon for everything. I really like the first-person perspective, showing only the phone from Na Mi's eyes. The action could have been better though. The mystery and chase is not as fun when you know who the assailant is. Im Si-wan is a phenomenal actor, so I wish they gave him more time to shine. The whole cast did pretty good though.
Na Mi frustrated me though because she had so many opportunities to fight "Jun-yeong" and even he said so lol.
I don't think this movie was terrible. I think it just needs things added and worked upon.

I mean the writing and dialog is so rigid, like puppets just there to say their lines, and fl, her friend and our psycho all act like dimwitted 20 year olds but as a process of "stealing infos" it is something we're actively advised to take it consideration so it could've been interesting but...
I mean it was stupid when the cop was shown to be ml's dad who suses him right away...
And like sure fl's dad has to tell her new guy is sus but dude is like og tobby Spiderman 2 when he got the black powers and started dancing but girls thought he looked weird, oily cheesy
That's how siwan was being. Over confident in a tiny geek is sus af
But at the 1h22m mark, they stop him b4 he goes into fls house. Rookie cop mistake. But he goes, I'm not him you guys are sus and walks away? A suspect of 7 murders? Walks away with a "nope you're wrong"?

A pretty good watch, I'll surely recommend it to crime-thrill lovers.
This is an absolute watch for crime-thrill lovers. Yim se wan was exceptional and I really loved how every actor was to the point with their acting, nothing was too much or too less...it is un-doubtly an upgrade of the Japanese version. The part with everybody being alive might seem a bit unrealistic but factually if you see it takes around 1/2 hour or more to die if someone has drowned in water, the brain stops working in the initial 3-5 minutes, but other organs and metabolic reactions take quite some time to stop...and gun shot in the abdominal area is not something that can instantly kill anyone. So, it's actually totally plausible that they survived.

Based on some real life situations
it is really a great movie , as nowadays there are lots of hackers all around the world who steal all your personal informations or start blackmailing you or ruin your carrer and relation with people , so yes this movie represent such in a unique way and we must be more aware of such , the characters also were so great and convincing, so for me I suggest this movie as got such a great plot and perfect representation of some real life situations when your device gets hacked, I believe most of people may enjoy it tooWas this review helpful to you?
really good, easy to watch thriller!
I just came around to watch it, I wasn't sure if I should watch it at first. If it will be good, but I'm sooo freaking glad I did watch this movie.
the story was really well written imo, the cast was perfectly chosen.
from the beginning until the end it had me hanging in there to see more. I wish I could have seen more at the end of Na-Mi after everything. but maybe if that would have happend it would make the movie less good, sometimes it's better to end like this.
all 117 mins were packed with important story und visuals, I didn't feel like any minute had any kind of filler reason.
idk why I was sometimes rooting for the villan to not get caught, tbh only until the end in the end I was totally rooting for the victim!
the actor playing the "villan" was a good choice, he made the charakter really believable! Great work.
I highly recommend to watch this movie, even if just once it's really well made.
thanks to the Filmmakers behind it for the work they put in and also to all the main and supporting actors who put there work into it.
