A well produced short GL Wuxia that will make you want for more
This review is going to be quite short because I do not want for it to take longer to read than the story it talks about and when the tag says short film, it is not lying. This short film is 4 minutes long and is halfway between the music video, the trailer, and the short film.It tells the story of those two women, their fights and love story in fragments. It is only showing us snippets of a larger story. It is quite effective at showing us this story in the 4 minutes they have even if we are left wanting for more (if anyone feels like writing fanfiction about this story, please do it and then come back here to tell me more). It follows a pretty standard story structure which makes it easier to follow.
The costumes are very pretty and the two actresses manage to sell the story quite well. The fact that they seem to be actually together in real life (the short film was posted on their youtube channel where they publish vlogs) does help with the believability of their attraction to each other (although it is not always the case).
The production values within the constraint of time are quite good and they also did a nice job with the music.
They left me wanting for more and there are things that I would have liked to know more about with the story or to do slightly better in terms of voice-overs and such, but given that it only lasts 4 minutes, it is pretty decent.
It does not seem likely that they would produce a full length story, but I do hope they try their hands at some other short film in the future.
If you have 4 minutes to spare and want to watch a well produced GL Wuxia short film, I can only recommend watching Red Devil and Heroine Su. Let's support the GL projects that are being produced, no matter how small and hope for more of them to come out in the future!

The story seems a bit repetitive with two people being from different sects and despite everything falling for each other but they succeeded at creating a little twist at this classical story.
The OST is really good and the movie almost feels like a music video at the same time.
The actresses have such a great chemistry together and no wonder when they are a couple in real life as well. <3 I was so happy to finally see a wlw film piece finally made by an actual wlw couple. *-*
The cinematography, sceneries, and costumes are going to make you feel like watching a high budget drama because they are amazing as well.
I've re-watched Red Witch and Heroine Su three times already and I don't think that I will ever get tired of it. But we definitely need more wuxia GLs.

short and a bit undercooked
This doesn't really feel like a short film at all, more like a well-produced music video. It has a certain quality to it that makes it seem like a film that was shot in a day - probably mostly in terms of little things in production value like the costuming, the sets, and the lack of additional performers.It is gorgeously shot and the costumes are lovely, but the reliance on the soundtrack to tell the story and the limited dialogue made the entire thing just feel very, very simple.
I was surprised to find out that the two women who star in this were dating (they seem to have had a cycle since where they broke up and then are back together). It was a pleasant surprise.
Honestly even though I cam down kind of cool on this, I would love to see more wlw wuxia. There doesn't seem to be a lot of it out there - I've been compiling a list - and I would love to see more.

A sweet music video with a lot of potential.
The light vs dark, enemies to lovers, and forbidden love tropes that are being set up with this short teaser promise a good time and the production value is impressive for what it is, but the short clips spliced together to create what is essentially a music video aren't strong enough on their own to present the full story. It's easy to follow along with what's happening and the concept definitely left me wanting more; it just didn't leave much of an impression behind other than "this would be great as a series."In a lot of ways, it feels like a trailer for an upcoming series rather than a story in its own right, so if you're in the mood for bite-sized content to get you daydreaming, it's worth the 4 minutes it'll take to watch it.

Um GL apaixonante.
É um curta Wuxia, em que há artes marciais envolvida e roupas de época, a fotografia e os figurinos são maravilhosos, realmente apaixonante de se ver. A ost é muito bonita e sempre que toca numa cena agradável do casal, torna a atmosfera ainda mais apaixonante.Não aprofundaram na história, afinal, tem apenas 4 minutos de duração, mas dá para ter uma noção por cima. Conta sobre um mestre das artes marciais e um demônio, ambas passam por desentendimentos e isso é mostrado em flashbacks. Apesar das desavenças, a relação delas não se resume apenas à lutas, também nos concederam doces momentos entre o casal, o que deixa qualquer um com o coração quentinho.
Quando o curta saiu, as protagonistas namoravam na vida real (não sei dizer se ainda estão juntas), o que tornou a relação das personagens ainda mais realista. Confiram esse curta, é realmente bom (apesar da pouca duração).

Uma resenha sobre esta curta e nada mais.
Apesar de qualquer projeto de minorias ter o meu apoio, esta resenha assenta única e exclusivamente na curta metragem exibida.Ao contrário da maior parte das críticas, não creio que esta história condensada seja completamente percetível. Cada um poderá julgar e construir a sua própria narrativa, baseada na relação entre uma mestre de artes marciais e uma suposta demónio (verdadeira ou adjetivada assim).
As partes coreografadas detêm alguma beleza, os cenários, a música que casa bem com as cenas…. Entre os fragmentos discursivos, vamos entendendo a história, uma relação amor/conflito. Talvez estejam em polos opostos, talvez sejam inimigas apaixonadas…
Vale pelos aspetos cénicos e pela beleza das personagens…
Seria um trailer magnífico de uma peça mais longa…. Quiçá isso aconteça um dia.
