It's not the half you think, but maybe it's the one you need
I must say that this is one of the best short films I have seen and that in a few minutes I manage to transmit much more than other series and longer films.To begin with, for me where the greatness lies is in the chemistry, there is no doubt that Earth and Mix have a quasi-magnetic chemistry, spiced up by their very good interpretations, which makes you not only connect emotionally with the characters in few minutes if not what, you understand them and you care about their history and where is going.
In general, the story is simple, two boys find themselves at school in "not very optimal" circumstances. From that moment on, their paths mix and they become very good friends. You start to follow a common path, however as the friendship progresses, the feelings become more complex and the expectations higher, until the mutual attraction becomes undeniable, obviously the moment of the confession of these emotions, although mutual, it causes a fracture in the relationship and the characters separate.
In the midst of that separation, Talay realizes his true feelings and decides to wait for the return of his beloved Whale, while he nostalgically remembers the moments that were gone.
The message is really very nice, on the one hand Whale who always felt that he did not have a place in this world whose best option was to go out and go through it to find a place to hold on, when his path crosses with Talay, the only person who has made him feel at home and belonging and feeling the relationship broken is scared and runs away; and on the other, Talay who is initially scared of how deep and confused his feelings are becoming, but the moment Whale leaves he realizes that he really loves him and is willing to wait for his return, at last and at the end each one got half.
We must not forget that this short is connected to a music video and I would like to talk a little about the relationship with it, in the end they tell us the same story, “I try to keep everything that reminds me of you very deep and can continue with life, but deep down I am still waiting for the moment when you return”. Facing our feelings can be scary, sadly sometimes they only have one chance and sometimes they are not ready, in the end, Talay and Whale can finally meet again and now they can walk together wherever life takes them.
Like I said before, the performances are beautiful Earth and Mix are great actors and it is clear that they put everything into the roles that they have, they have both matured as actors and I am very excited to see their future work. The short at the production level is beautiful, the photography, the direction, even the script with very little dialogue works quite well and I really liked the song.

Very cute
This story is very cute, nothing too exciting but it's so brief that it's worth a watch. I have met the main characters before in "A tale of a 1000 stars" and I think the chemistry is there.The kiss, though... I get it, probably they didn't feel comfortable kissing but c'mon. It's really tragic, I've never seen a scene so bad acted because it's so utterly fake. It's like when you played fake kissing in middle school for a laugh, I've found it so cringe that I stopped the video and I facepalmed.
If we grant forgiveness for the kiss scene, then it's a good short story, I look forward to the sequel.

first off totally impressed with Earth, the only character's i've seen him portray r the standoffish, cold, douche-bags with a Huge chip on his shoulder, let alone the short-fuse. so seeing him act so young and carefree without me cringing that a 27yr old is "acting" the teen, was wow - guess the dude does know how to act - plus he was so freakin vulnerable and loveable in this - so unlike his usual roles, i'm a bit dumbstruck... positively the plot all in all was short and sweet - very simple and yet i kinda didn't get Talay - idk if it was a translation glitch or what, but cause he was worried/scared to face his true feelings rejected (rather brutally) Whale - so why he going on about them both suffering and being in pain? and not that i didn't get his pain / insecurity - but that was his choice. he knew why he pushed Whale away and treated him like a pervert, then adding insult to injury ignoring him - basically pushing him away.
get why he did that, but his thought process wasn't logical - one would think Whale was the one that rejected and abandoned him... so this was so so - i for sure didn't think he deserved Whale to rush back the sec he was ready - plus he didn't indicate that he was ready for a relationship - he just wrote he waiting for his friend, so they could travel together. and that the grand romance end we get?
guess i'm the only cynic here... that thinks this a really sad ending - cause this doesn't make-up for Whale's suffering and it for sure doesn't insure he gonna get love this time around (and i aint talking the platonic kind).
so it was cute and fun up to a point and the acting was good - but one off

At first a little dissapointed cause i think this just stop in the middle AKA open ending. But after reading comments below finally realize they continue the story in the MV.
This story about 2 friends that have feeling for each other. Whale & Talay met each other when Whale accidentally cause Talay foot to be broken. Feel with guilt Whale help Talay go around and did his activity as long as his foot hasn't healed yet. And when Talay foot has been healed, they already can't be separated from each other.
Whale feeling finally burst out when he saw how close Talay with one of their friend, Whale got jealous & decided to kiss Talay. Which turn out not go as he planned, cause Talay rejected him. And since that day, their relationship go to awkward. And one day Whale just disappear from Talay life, only leave Talay with goodbye note. And that make Talay realized & acknowledge his own feeling for Whale
AND THAT'S THE ENDING OF THE SHORT STORY.

Short films aren't really my thing
Short films aren't really my thing. I always want more than what I get, and this was no different. I love EarthMix, but I've seen them do better in other projects. The kiss scene was abysmal, and I've seen them kiss in other shows where it looked pretty natural, so I'm not sure why it was so weird in this one. I know the plot called for a certain reaction, but it still wasn't acted out very well imo. Maybe it was the director, I don't really know. For 12 minutes, and a music video, it's cute and short enough to give it a quick watch. But I doubt I will ever think of this again after I click that submit review buttonWas this review helpful to you?
A Tale of Thousand Star in Another Universe
Sejujurnya saya agak lupa ya short-film ini tentang apa, intinya film pendek ini rilis setelah series "A Tale of Thousand Stars" selesai dan meraih banyak sekali penghargaan dari penonton - lalu munculah film pendek ini. Film ini pun rilis sebagai pelengkap salah satu Music Video, Ada beberapa scene yang saya ingat di film pendek ini yaitu kebersamaan Earth-Mix ketika salah satu dari mereka cedera kaki, kemudian salah satunya memberikan bantuan semangat dan menuliskan pada Gipsnya agar cepat sembuh, lalu scene Earth menjadi super hero. Mohon maaf saya benar-benar lupa tentang apa film ini dibuat, namun saya masih merekomendasikan film pendek ini untuk ditonton.
