Dark comedy (sprinkled with action) at its finest
Was this movie made for me or something?It's a dark comedy, utterly cynical movie about 2 deadly jaded assassin girls—that look anything but—living a boring but strange life in-between jobs that culminates in an utterly awesome final fight the likes of which you rarely see due to a functional choice of choreography I very much approve of.

Narrative - 80/100 | If you think you wanna watch a movie where 2 bored assassins do literally nothing except an occasional murder (and waste time in-between), then you'll probably enjoy this. Otherwise, you'll probably dislike this. I enjoyed it because their lack of purpose in life was a sight to see and Mahiro was strangely captivating as a character. Also because of the recurring funny little gags with the objects falling out of place, I've always loved those kinds of small visual gags. I don't know, it came together nicely for me.
Fight Choreography - 90/100 | The final fight is choreographed to look real instead of looking choreographed, an odd contradiction that works when done properly. Action choreographer Kensuke Sonomura will be one to watch for sure.
Enjoyment - 90/100 | Needed more fights. Needed better sound mixing for the guns in the 3rd act. More of this please. Thank you.

killing and eating, that's all
This movie is a relatively light hearted dark comedy (as contradictory as that may sound) the premise is pretty simple, not a very complicated or meaningful plot but if you're like me, that's more than enough to be entertaining. I love the two main leads dynamic, they can be relatable when lazy, ditzy, inexperienced and a joy to just watch having idle chatter or killing people. I found Mahiro's fight scenes quite nice as they were realistically scrappy and found out she's a stunt woman! so cool!Was this review helpful to you?

Great premise, terrible execution.
There is only so much screaming, yelling, and over-the-top clumsiness that can be delivered before the main characters of film become a grating and annoying presence on the screen.I love the premise of this movie. The idea that two young assassins are thrown into a situation where they have to appear to live a normal life, get jobs, be roommates etc. However, the movie gives us very little of this outside of a few drawn out and pointless eating sequences where the two leads bicker with each other about inane and meaningless things. The two characters are just annoying and it's difficult to cheer for them when they have no depth and the story is nearly non-existent. NOTHING HAPPENS.
On top of all of this every female character in the movie, save Mahiro(played by Izawa Saori), is presented as a bumbling, shrieking, clumsy, ditz who can't put one foot in front of the other without acting a fool. Outside of one or two moments of genuine comedy from Motomiya Yasukaze, the film falls flat in every comedic scene with it's unfunniness and painfully drawn out sequences of nothing happening.
It's a real shame. Give it a miss.
