hurt

The series is hurting me at this point but I still have faith in Leo and Fiat's relationship that somehow they will be okay.

Not as bad as I thought!

I’ve been trying to emotionally distance myself from this show this past week in order to not be overcome with rage at what I anticipated from this episode. Honestly, it wasn’t that bad. Not exactly great, either, but I was relieved.Starting with the bad, Leo is an actual cheater and a hypocrite. I don’t care why you do it, if you are in a relationship and you kiss someone else without your partner’s knowledge, that is infidelity. I’m happy that the reason was a little more believable than some theories I’ve seen floating around. From a writing standpoint, fine. It’s still unacceptable. It’s like Leo did all these amazing things that went above and beyond what even a good boyfriend might do but then failed a basic requirement. Leo, you’re unfortunately disqualified and deserved to get dumped. Also, are both of our main leads actually idiots? Leo at least seems smart but then he too behaves the opposite. The funny thing is that P’Mame knows they’re being idiots and has inserted a little self awareness into the mix by letting the characters acknowledge that they’re falling victim to these mind games. That still doesn’t seem to make a difference because drama must be had, I guess. Lol at King knowing ahead of time that Fiat would request water. Is he actually a manipulative genius? I laughed. I’m upset for Fiat’s sake but luckily Leo intervenes before anything actually happens. And I got tremendous enjoyment out of Leo punching King in the face. Too bad Fiat was too out of it to witness his boyfriend’s badassery. In the end, I was quite touched by the comeback of self sacrificing Leo and how respectful he was of Fiat’s wishes regarding their relationship. I forgive him. Surprisingly, I actually enjoyed his suffering in this episode. I thought I’d be either sad or annoyed depending on whether I would think it deserved. As it turned out, these scenes served us with the implication that Leo has self aware dreams (hah!) about Fiat getting with somebody else and has apparently had that as a recurring dream in the past. Poor baby. The crying actually got to me a little. I also loved the brothers being so heartwarming. Leon did good. By the way, please consider this episode as Ja’s audition for some sexy zombie movie, thanks.Lastly, I just love the parents and this group of friends. What a supportive circle Leo and Fiat have. I’m excited for the last two episodes now. The worst has got to be behind us.
