Not Worth It

I try to enjoy this drama but it was not happening. The chemistry with the characters was not there. There was over acting and there was no romance between the leads. They waited until the last episode before the lead characters really get together. I could not understand the characters from the past or where they from a game and came to life. It made no sense. The lead character martial art was terrible and her brother was worst and they ran a martial art school. It is short but I do not think is worth watching. The writer and director could have done a better job so the actors performance could have been better and then the story could have made sense.

This review is for Season1 & 2:
This is a fun and winsome short fantasy drama where the characters of a virtual game, Bo Ye and Yan, accidentally crossed to the real world after the game shut down. In the real world, Xiao Yu and Yuan Fan team up with the master of Bowu Sect to get rid of Yan, the villain of this virtual game. Coincidentally, Xiao Yu becomes Yuan Fan bodyguard and they become romantically involved. The romance is slow burned and the leading couple lacks chemistry. The drama is farcical and many characters are satirical and exaggerated, but overall, the drama is lighthearted and fun to watch while waiting for a great one to come.
SPOILER ALERT: The drama ends well since, even if the story was a dream, the leading couple has its destined meeting.

review of season 1:

A good lighthearted show to turn off your brain and watch for a while. No major complaints. The romance, plot, and action are neither here nor there - not great, but funny if you're watching for the comedy. It has good comedic timing and manufactured lengthy awkwardness.

The effects could definitely be better and so could the acting, but overall it's on par with what I expected. The ML and FL both had a potentially irritating vibe to them but it didn't really bother me, and the side characters were funny.

If the second season becomes available on more platforms I'll definitely give it a watch at some point.
