Makes your heart flutter in the best way

I never thought that a romance in another country between billiards players will hold me in a chokehold

This drama was just an unexpected watch because I wasn't sold on the plot. I usually don't like romance in another country plot because there'll be a lot of angst and drama. But this one gave me butterflies from episode 1 and just felt warm to watch. I was hooked.

Let me start with the positives:
- Leo Wu stole the show
The reason why I was sold on the first episode was because of his infatuated gaze. Listen, love at first sight sometimes cringes me out but I still believe it's possible and Leo Wu's acting just gave me proof. His smoldering eyes and lovesick gaze gave me butterflies. Even though his character is quiet and stoic, his gaze alone spoke a thousand words. He was just a walking green flag ! He was the perfect boyfriend character.
- Realistic sports scenes
I was never interested in billiards but this show made me want to learn it. I thought they used stunt doubles for the sport shots since it looked authentic but I was suprised to see that the actors did everything (I watched the bts scenes) under the coaching of national coaches. They were fun to watch and weren't boring !
- Great supporting characters
They had some A-list supporting characters. The acting was great and their relationship dynamics was fun to watch. They had a found family aspect to them and each supporting character shone on the screen.
- Heart fluttery romance
I loved that the romance was almost slow burn and wasn't rushed. It felt realistic since she only met him recently and they have an age gap as well. I liked how they showed both of them exploring the relationship before they committed to each other and it just made my heart flutter the entire time.

Now let's move onto the negatives:
- Please give the female lead some personality!!!
The female lead was sometimes annoying to watch. I mean, I get that she's a little quiet and shy but she just seemed bland the entire time. Because of that, even when she was playing the sport, she didn't look charismatic or cool. She was boring to watch since Leo Wu outshone her in terms of acting. They could've given her more growth or some defined personality traits to make her more interesting.
- Two separate stories combined into one
As much as I liked this show, I do wish they separated it into two seasons or two separate shows. The first half was clearly about the romance while the second half was only about sports. It was like a genre change and I wish they only focused on one aspect.
- It should've been 25 episodes or shorter
Like I said, I think they got greedy with the story. It would've been more cleaner if they stopped at episode 24 or 25. The last few episodes were unnecessary and just made the story go in a weird direction.

Overall, an unexpected watch that turned into an all time favorite. I'll recommend this to anyone who likes a heart fluttering romance with great sport scenes. 8.5/10

Best Romance drama with slow pase you can enjoyy

The storyline is refreshingly straightforward, focusing on the deepening relationship between Lin Yi Yang, a talented snooker player, and Yin Guo, amidst the challenges posed by their careers and personal commitments. The drama excels in portraying the sweetness and sincerity of first love, avoiding typical romantic clichés such as love triangles and ex-partners. This approach keeps the narrative light and heartwarming, making it an ideal watch for romance enthusiasts looking for a feel-good experience .One of the standout features of the series is its stunning cinematography. The use of foreign locales, particularly the snow-covered landscapes of Finland, adds a magical quality to the romance, enhancing the visual appeal and emotional depth of the story. This meticulous attention to visual storytelling elevates the drama, setting it apart from other contemporary romantic series .

A very light hearted love and entertaining cast

The story of this drama was simple and sweet, in a good way. It was very light hearted love story about a girl changing a guy's entire life. It's also very very sweet. I hesitated about watching it cause I didn't know what Billiards was and I was quite unsure of whether I would like it but I LOVED it. It was toootally worth watching and it was just the perfect thing I needed to end my day with on a happy note. Every episode was something different, adding to he storyline and just simply adorable. The cast were soooo cute and the leads had SUCH good Chemistry! It was impeccable. Absolutely Incredible drama, I had a lovely time watching the cast put on an incredible show. Everyone's done such a good job on this drama, I was truly impressed. The music was just amazing. I loved the music just as much as the drama, the OST is now officially on my playlist and it's just a really good piece. Overall, This was an incredibly adorable and sweet love story with a very light hearted storyline that is also very entertaining and just wholesome in everyway. 📲🎱🏅🤵🏻❄️💖❄️🤵🏻‍♀️🏅🎱📲

Amidst a SLOW storm of Love

I'm giving it 7.5/10 for the independent and talented FL who carved her own career and made her own choices. BUT it should have been no more than 25 eps, not 30. The ML spoke as if every word took a year off his life AND he took a year to say every.single.word .

3-4 minutes of screentime for maybe 10 words of dialog between the OTP was the norm. It was excruciating. One of them says like 3 words, 90 seconds later, the other one replies with a single word. Rinse and repeat. It's a testament to how much the pairing pulled me that I stuck it out. That and the actual snooker, which I loved seeing. Had the Drama been 25 instead of 30, with the leads communicating at normal human pace, and without the the FL's constant coquettishness, it would have got a 9 from me

Roteiro diferente com elenco multicultural

Em meio a Nevasca de Amor ( Amidst a Snowstorm of Love)

Wetv

One of the best C-Dramas till date

This is going to be my first review EVER and I am definitely very excited for it.
Lin Yiyang is by far one of the best written male leads in recent Chinese and Korean dramas.
He has really good chemistry with Yin Guo but the best part of the drama isn't their perfect chemistry, it is the way they are written as characters. Yin Guo is not your typical damsel in distress, she is a world class 9-ball player with aspirations and goals.
The story is intriguing from the very start. A foreign set-up with students abroad is another eye-catching aspect.
The development of the story is apt considering it is a long drama with 30 episodes, however, once you start watching it, it does not seem this long.
The supporting cast has sufficient screen time and story but I would like to see more of Lin Lin and Xiaodong.
All in all, its a must watch for people who like romantic dramas with a good story line.

I Still Don’t Know What Snooker Is, but This Drama Deserves a 9/10 (From a nitpicker)

Great Chemistry
Oversimplified plot (Can be the only downside, almost nothing happens in most episodes if someone is looking for substance)
Every character is committed to their role
Amazing direction and OST
The atmosphere always reminds me of my days abroad

Alright, let me get this out of the way: I have no idea how snooker or nine-ball works. I saw it being played in this drama, and you’d think that might spark some interest. Nope—zero interest, still confused, moving on.

There’s nothing bad I can say about this drama (which is wild, because finding flaws is my hobby). If you’re patient enough for a slow-burn story that actually stays focused on its plot, this is one of the rare gems you shouldn’t miss. The chemistry between the cast? Fabulous. Every side character? Fully committed—no one’s just there to fill space. It’s like every actor showed up thinking, “I’m here to make this work, not to waste your time.”

And here’s where it gets even better: no random new characters popping up halfway through. I swear, half the Chinese dramas I’ve seen introduce more people in the last few episodes than a wedding party. Not here, though. This director had a plan, and it shows. Everything unfolds with perfect pacing, without that clunky, chaotic “who is this guy again?” energy.

Now, I don’t know what it is with Chinese dramas and their obsession with turning everyone except the main characters into scheming villains. Why does every side character have to act like they’re plotting a coup? But this drama? No unnecessary evil, no brain-dead villains. Just a tight, simple story that focuses on the leads and the emotions that matter. It’s refreshing.

If I had one gripe, it’s that the plot is almost too simple. Honestly, not much happens: the leads meet, they go back to China, a few things happen, and then—boom—they get married. I would’ve liked a little more story and maybe a couple of extra episodes, but hey, what they did with the straightforward plot left me impressed.

I had some free time so thought I would write some of my thoughts on some dramas. Maybe I will still remember them when I get older and remember the especial feelings again.

ALL SCENE WILL GIVE YOU BUTTERFLIES

I would give 8 for the story because it's not complicated plot but still interesting, meanwhile point of this story is how they (FL and ML) fall in love and get through ML problems. The only thing i learned from this drama is how billiard game is played. Chinese have done all the variety sports in their dramas.

ALL CAST, ALL OF THEM i would give 10.... because they all so exceptional handsome. But sometimes i get awkward feeling with ML acting not because the flirty scene, i think ML expression is just feel empty sometimes but he is handsome :) (He was forgiven)

Tbh i don't really get the story with first 3 episode (the reason why you had to watched this more than once), and get sulky with those flirty from ML because i envy with FL (don't mind me).

If you don't mind or searching for lovely poisonous sweet scene, I recommend you!!

Sweet Romance!

This series is one of the more lighthearted ones I’ve watched. It features a simple plot and characters, set against the unique backdrop of the billiards world—a refreshing choice since it’s not often we see a story revolve around this sport. However, the focus is more on the love story between Yin Guo and Yi Yang, two introverted and shy characters who bond over their shared interest in billiards and eventually fall in love.

To be honest, it was a bit of a struggle to finish the series. The pacing felt slow, and at times, the episodes seemed lengthy. What kept me watching were the romantic scenes—the chemistry between the leads was undeniable and really stood out. The billiard scenes were well-done, though not my personal preference. I found myself skipping parts, but I still managed to reach the end.

Both actors impressed me with their performances. I learned they were both child actors, and their experience really shines through in their portrayals. The music was soothing and complemented the tone of the series well. The production also took the show abroad, which brought a fresh perspective to the setting.

Overall, it’s a good watch, but I wouldn’t revisit the entire series. However, I’d definitely rewatch some of my favorite scenes for the chemistry and charm they brought to the screen.

it was decent but maybe not for me

the leads def have chemistry but something abt their interactions leading up to becoming a couple and as one just felt either awkward to me. i've never really enjoyed wu lei in the romance genre and i just don't think hes to my taste in terms of acting which is fine lol also wang xing yue is too distracting for me to care abt anything else idk the couple just was a bit mid same w the plot

Touching story about tricky personalities

Presumably this is a “love story” but thankfully there is more to it than that. An excellent performance by Leo Wu, demonstrating that a child prodigy from a difficult background is not naturally blessed with good communication or emotional management skills. Zhao Jinmai likewise shows that an over-protected, pampered prodigy princess can be a good person who is also a terrible whiner and painfully immature at the same time; FL and ML are almost polar opposites. By the tail end of the series I had heard enough of her pre-schooler-in-a-shopping-trolley whining voice, even wondering if it was dubbed.(I have noticed in C-drama there are a lot of female characters acting like spoilt children and whining to get their own way or worm their way into someone’s good books; not doing women’s equality any favours with these nonsensical portrayals, but they could be doing exactly what the director told them to do). By the time the episode of the family restaurant scene came about, I didn’t want to watch anymore, even though I knew the character portrayal was faithful to the trajectory of her childhood development. I was too irritated to care anymore. I kept watching to see a secondary relationship develop with Wang Xingyue’s character (among others) and I was sadly disappointed when that did not occur. Good acting, nice music, interesting plot lines, worth watching. I won’t re-watch though.
