So dumb, yet so entertaining.
Deep has a negative brain cell energy and I live for it. It's a pure brainless entertainment: the writer has no brain, the characters have no brain, and by the end of the movie, you will also have no brain.All the build up tension and clock ticking to the tune of death are hilarious when you know there is a ridiculously easy solution to the dilemma the characters are facing. I was watching the movie laughing, face palming and asking “why y'all making it so difficult when it’s not?”.
I mean, I knew they were all dumb when female lead asked about money and not side effects at the beginning of the movie, even though she is a medical student ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
That said, the characters being so stupid, which leads to the plot being so stupid, was exactly what I liked about it. It’s supposed to be a thriller, but damn, I thought it was some dark comedy on crack.
Production wise it’s cool. Love the soundtrack, and I found it truly fitting. The effect used when showcasing the messed up perception after sleepless nights of the main cast were well done. I had some issues with the directing in terms of pacing… felt a bit jarring.
The plot twist was there… and I was like OH! But then I went into Oh? Wait… what? And then I had to remind myself that no one is using their brain in the movie, so for them the actions might make sense.
Overall, not smart, not groundbreaking, but truly fun to watch. The cast had amazing chemistry and sold the story through their acting. I love the bond, I love the friendship, even if they all shared one brain cell. Stupidity entertaining till the end. It’s the first time I truly adored such a bunch of idiots, and just for that this movie deserves a medal.
That said, Deep left me with one question: How easy is it to study medicine in Thailand if these 4 idiots not only got in, but also passed at least a few semesters?

Not so Deep After All...
This movie is the typical desperate girls/s take/s desperate measures to survive in a world that feeds on the week... meet a bunch of insomniacs that figure if I can´t sleep any way why not make some money out of it which marks the start of a beautiful friendship... in true Bee Gees ah ah ah ah staying alive spirit.The movie is ok not very good and not very entertaining and lacks substance but it is not bad either. It does indeed show some lovely friendships and more or less i interesting twist, I would say twists but I am not sure if there is more than one twist or maybe a twist and a half... There is a bunch of darkness here and there, some stalking, some fluff and even a pretty decent kiss somewhere in there.
It is easy to find on Netflix so if you don´t have anything better to do, want to use it in a challenge are curious about the cast, have a crush on the cast etc... then I say go for it! t is not poorly executed or anything, so your crush is likely to stay intact. If you are in need of something good or highly entertaining I would suggest you look elsewhere.

Don't expect it to change your life
As far as movies go this was as average as it gets. Not great, not bad. It had some interesting parts, and some boring parts and they essentially balanced each other out.The characters were interesting and I liked the dynamics, but I wish they had gone more into detail about their motivations. Some of them had intriguing pasts I would have liked to see that the movie barely covered.
The overall concept was engaging, but could have been much better.
All in all I would say it's a decent one time watch if you're bored and want something to take up nearly two hours of your time. It's enjoyable enough, and maybe worth a watch for hardcore sci-fi and psychology fans.
So watch it once but don't expect it to change your life. I certainly don't see myself looking back on it much in my future.

Sci -Fi Thriller from Thailand. The concept sounds strangely familiar and is obviously made to have a universal appeal.Four insomniac medical school students are lured into a neuroscience experiment that spirals out of control -- and must find a way out before it's too late.VERDICT _ STREAM IT !! Fair acting for the most part - quite liked the ost & the story was decent and well told.

This is a good movie.
I watch this movie when boredom strikes, so I don't really mind the nonsense in this story. But at least, it's a good movie to watch when you are bored in your free time and have nothing to watch. The theory feels not that deep, but the plot twist kinda makes me go 'huh?' it's almost a cliff-hanger ending but fortunately they made a great ending. I don't think I will watch it again, because the story feels a little flat plain in my opinion. The actors express their characters so well, I don't really see any awkwardness from them.Was this review helpful to you?

simply mediocre
There was nothing special about this story. It was entertaining enough to finish it, but there was nothing memorable about it nor anything that would make me want to watch it again.There were some good things about the film, the music was good and the characters, bar the creepy nerd guy, were likeable. One part of the film that I thought was done especially well was the sudden switch from Win's innocent love confession to the student dying. It was an excellent use of the shock factor but it was disappointing that this was the only shocking thing when the film had so much more potential to strike a chord with the audience.
The plot of the drug trial itself was weak. There were no real consequences as the only person to die was an unnamed student. If they wanted to leave an impact on the audience, one of the main four should have died, particularly Win or Jane. I also believe they should have kept the whole thing as something organised by a large company and the twist should have been that the teacher worked for that company and was grooming kids into taking part in the trial.
In general, the entire thing was rushed. It would have worked better if they had paced it better, perhaps using the story for a mini-series rather than a film. As it revolves around a lack of sleep, by slowing down the pace they could have enhanced the agony of sleep-deprivation very well. However, it would still fall short on delivering a message. Perhaps I missed it, but I don't think the story actually had something to say. The only thing I really got was that sleep is good and I don't think anyone needs to watch this film to understand that.

Wasn't the best but still fun
I had no clue kit was gonna be in it when I was randomly scrolling thru netflix. His acting was actually way better than I expected (idk why i was expecting it to be bad lol). The plot and story was pretty stupid but it was still fun to watch. It made no sense and was all over the place. Maybe it was the food I was eating at the time that made me enjoy it haha. If you are here to watch a good movie with a good storyline and plot, don't watch this but if u just want something fun then go ahead. It was supposed to be like a thriller but I was laughing throughout the whole thing because of how dumb the characters were.Was this review helpful to you?
Quite entertaining but nothing special
Deep is quite an emotionally resonant film that explores love, loss, and the boundaries of reality.While its pacing may be an issue for some viewers as some scenes didn’t really feel that necessary and were a little slow, the film had an interesting plot make and the acting was pretty good which made it worthwhile the watch.
For fans of both psychological thrillers and emotional dramas, this film would probably be something you’d enjoy.

Des étudiants en médecine acceptent de tenter une expérience, en échange de beaucoup d'argent. Cela consiste à ne pas dormir pendant plusieurs jours afin de pouvoir récupérer l'hormone qui aide à rester éveillé. Pour cela, on leur implante une puce qui se chargera de récupérer la substance, et ils doivent porter une montre constamment, qui note l'évolution de production de cette hormone, et qui sonne l'alarme en cas d'endormissement, car cela pourrait provoquer la mort au bout de 60 secondes.Pour une des étudiantes, elle accepte de le faire car elle a des dettes et sa mamie doit se faire opérer ; mais les autres, c'est un peu pour gagner de l'argent facile, et ils n'ont pas réfléchi aux conséquences ; en effet, cette expérience s'avère dangereuse puisqu'elle peut devenir mortelle.
J'ai trouvé le concept intéressant ; l'histoire est intrigante ; les acteurs jouent bien, et la musique est sympa.
