New season for the new plot in bl drama....
Okay, let's start it.I love this show so much, also the actors as well. Personally, I'm yoojun stan and I'm VIXX stan. So my review is subjective :). and this is my first time to review drama I watch.
So this is can be much better than the previous series. So many things that improved. But both of them have different focuses on the line story. S1 is about how yeonwoo find his probe that he doesn't want and try to accept his probe, that is yoohan. S2 is more about finding yeonwoo mom and yoohan kidnapped case. And then there is new information about Mono.
The plot is interesting and different from another, I can say bl series. Like Mono world. Fantasy, thriller genre like that. Yes, It's not easy to have this plot to be honest.
Their chemistry is so cute. Sehyun and Yeonwoo is so adorable I can't... and unbreakable. No awkward at all. Plus point for it.
So worth to spend your free time. If you want just watch it without thinking much about the story... But I think you can't :'''''
I can't say this is bromance, it's like romance. Even the actors say this is romance. But not included the real kiss, not every romance drama should be has a kiss scene. It's like censored romance, if you have watched killer and healer you can understand my words. But still the fact that hyuk and yoojun still kissing each other :)
Review below is contained with spoilers ;)
ACTING : their acting is so good!!! I like how yoojun cries when he finds out about sehyun is Mono. Other actors also do a great job!! When yeonwoo friends are startled when look at sehyun condition is so hilarious.
Those students is real students from the school is shocking me as well... And plus point for the chemistry!!! The forehead kiss scene is surprised me, that's so sudden. And yeonwoo reaction is so adorable /////
PLACE : They're used different places for the second season that's why the school, yeonwoo house, and everything look so different. The first one has big city vibe. The second one is more like countryside vibe with sea view. There is new various place used. Like bar one (that bartender looks so professional, lmao) and that candy factory (but why the uniforms is pink? Not blue like lapiz lazuli?). That medis tools look expensive :' (Is this important?)
LINE STORY : the story is "to do point" and comes out so fast. I don't know how to say it. At least it has no jump scene to another scene too suddenly and make me confused. Because in the first season there's a jump scene like suddenly, me like hah? What?
From the meet and fight scenes then found out about Mono secret, lapiz lazuri supremacy and their mom dead then end up together as a friend (?). No awkward move, dialogue or skinship. I don't know yeonwoo can hack like that, even his friends can do that :'. Is that normal in Korea?
Side roles do a great job to support the main role. The acting is not awkward.
When this is unreleased, I can see people are suspect sehyun who's kidnapped yoohan, but end up not (?). Sehyun just really want to get close to yeonwoo but yeonwoo is always with yoohan. What a twist to know sehyun also a Mono, is that even possible? (Please me, don't think to much, please.)
ENDING : It's not good ending not bad but an open ending. I think because of duration, everything comes out so fast. They are found out about the Mono bar, Candy factory, probe surgery, yeonwoo mom, and arrested the culprit. That's okay, just keep positive, guys. The headband scene confuses me, that looks so new and clean. His mom is missing for so long time right? I mean she is not killed recently.
Then yeonwoo reaction is so calm not in a bad way, I don't know is he disappointed with his mom or he is already accepting the fact that his mother is dead.
I know yeonwoo and sehyun are kissing even just dream, but the camera angles killing me!!! Need the making ASAP.
MUSIC : Nothing should I can tell you. Color rush series always make me fall in love with their soundtracks... I love them so much.
REWATCH VALUE : Already watch it for fifth time now. Both of them is my bias so yeah. Why not?
Question??
1. Why is his sister so obsessed to try probe surgery? Then ignore her brother... Emm... I'm not mono, so I don't how hard is this... But that's was so impossible to replace probe with surgery
2. How sehyun sister meet yoohan? When and why should be her? Then give her lapiz lazuri
3. Is yoohan know about that "monowife" secret that much? That's why he is being chased and then kidnapped
3. What's the relationship between yeonwoo mom and that monowife? Why they're should be kidnapped yoohan? Revenge from mom to son? Or what???
Ending question?
1. It confuses me, like sehyun is get hit on his back and suddenly his head is bleeding so bad, then in hospital, he has bandage on all of his body. Like how? What happens? Is that bad? Is the scene not showing it clearly or just me that not notice it? I don't know
2. What happens to yoohan in the end is make me curious. Is he has done plastic surgery? or that his face was injured so bad? If that's bad he is must be has done some surgery to repair his face, right?
3. What happen if yoohan really does plastic surgery? So is he still can make yeonwoo see color or not?
4. What's the relationship between yeonwoo and sehyun? It's think both of them already have interest to each other (?) Poor sehyun he is should be have real kiss, not the dream one...
5. Why the hospital name is "Yoo Ha"?
6. Yoohan family must be looking for yoohan. That's monowife hide yoohan so well, no one hasn't found him... or even clue about him
7. Triangle relationship on season 3? Let's see. It can be interesting. They are must be recast for yoohan actor.
So I think we need S3 to know what happens. Everything confuses me so bad. With who yeonwoo end up? Is yoohan still alive? Is sehyun meet his probe?
There's will be the movie version. I wish the movie vers can add some new scenes.
There are more questions more than my review. I don't know there is something I forgot or not but this is just my opinion about the second season. I read the novel, and I read some reviews on Naver as well. Yes, the novel is better than the drama, but there's must be some reason why the line story is not the same as the novel.
Remember everyone has different opinions, and this one is mine ;)
NOTE : S1 Yoohan on the first episode and that class president in S2 used the same orange sweater if you notice about it ;)

was pleasantly surprised
so when they announced that hyunjun wouldn't be returning i was a BIT worried considering how the whole first instalment is abt them and i was EVEN MORE worried when i heard that they were bringing a NEW ML in. i was very prepared to just write it off and pretend it didnt exist because what wouldve been the POINT of building a beautiful soulmate storyline only to bring Some Guy in and ruin it. this did not HAPPEN tho i was shooketh to my core.so i really enjoyed this second instalment, it's more mystery-driven and sehyun is a GREAT addition he is just a goofy ball of fun and him and the main lead bounce off eachother so well. I do also enjoy how the ML has kept his character development from S1. i've seen some people saying they thought yeon woo was ooc in this?? and i HEAVILY disagree. in S1 he had some snark and bite to him from the start, but he was also very VERY fragile and believed he was a monster, and then by the end he has become comfortable in his skin and that really shines through in S2 he is an absolute DELIGHT i would die for him.
anyway back to S2, so overall the budget is around about the same but the way its put together feels far more like an actual show and less like a pet project that maybe five people filmed in a room for two weeks. there are far more locations and characters, and there is more building on their world of MONO and probes which i LIVE FOR, the character of sehyun actually feels really naturally inserted into the narrative, and both MLs motivations make sense. the writers have also not discarded the character of yoo han despite the actor not returning - he is still VERY prominent and mentioned throughout the series.
towards the end it did feel a little bit rushed but that's understandable considering how little run time they have and also how ambitious the creators have been which i really respect. theyre trying to give us something new and interesting with lgbt characters and i rly do love that. i also think its very clearly meant to lead into a 3rd season so im not mad about it, i would rather they rushed a few bits here and there rather than scrap it all together because i am SO intrigued by the world theyve made so far.
to mention the music also, i did not like the songs anywhere near as much as S1, i found them kind of forgettable tbh, but the actual ost like the instrumentals that play throughout the show not just in certain places i rly liked those ones they were very pretty and set the mood SO WELL
so IN conclusion, i thought it was a very good carry on from the first and i would recommend but if you only watched the first one for overt BL shenanigans then u may not enjoy this one so much
also like with S1, i feel there is a fair amount of rewatch value, since things get mentioned, and then u can go back through (both instalments really) and find parallels or maybe pick up on something u didnt see before)

Don't hate hyukie and the series both of them are good❤️...
First thing I wanna say is lot of them are not okay with hyukie as ML like it's not his mistake for accepting the role right they are going with the story so please don't hate him .he is just trying his best out of every chance he gets Ik how people keep saying why they included a new ML and all (please don't hate him ) well I am in love with the new couple I hope they had more episodes.Story;- 8.5/10 well tbh I like the story it was so interesting ,I don't think the story was rushed or was slow I think the story was good enough to keep us invested and yeah some scenes felt a sudden cuts but I don't blame the actors for that and I also like that they didn't rush the couple into a relationship .
Acting:-10/10 I loved their acting like the chemistry between them was so cutee mann I hope they get an another season...the chemistry they had I like it so much tbh more than season 1 (I mean chemistry not acting).
Song:-9.5/10 damn! It's so catchy,lovely and such a cute song ..I agree it's good.
Re-watch value:- 8/10 I'll be honest if you like the actors and if you like the series you can watch again .it's good
Overall:-8.5/10 (but for me it's 10/10)
I wish to watch them together more ....overall I would say it's good I mean great you can binge it...

Better than the first season!!
I feel like I have a very different opinion from everyone else ajsjajaFew Disclaimers:
- I did not read the original work.
- I am not biased regarding actors.
First, let's talk about the first season.
I enjoyed it, gave it a very wonky 7/10 and the reason why I didn't give it more was mostly due to acting or due to cringing way too much at some points. I was a big fan of Yeon Woo since the beginning but wasn't so of Yoo Han, I just couldn't get immersed in his story or character, I felt that if he wasn't such a big part of Yeon Woo's story I wouldn't care for him. This second season proved it. I must say this isn't because of Hyun Jun as a person, I like him a lot and he seems like a nice actor - this was about the character (in the series at least). I care about Yoo Han as if he was any other victim of what happened to him, I didn't care for him as a main character, didn't care for him as a love interest, didn't care for him as a probe. Yeon Woo's and Yoo Han's relationship had tons of flaws due to the innerent soulmate trope but I could see the hype around their relationship on paper - in execution, however, it was lacking - It wasn't believable to me at all. Sure they were cute together but that doesn't cut it for me - there was nothing about them that made me root for them except their genetic discrepancies that brought them together. I'm not gonna be like most people who rated the show lower and say it's because of low runtime because I've literally watched almost all BLs korea has ever made and believe me, some of them are SHORT. This one still managed to be one of the least convincing to me.
My main issues rely on this, sure I wasn't a big fan of everything being left in the open at the end and no real proggress regarding the investigations being done, but those are less relevant comments to this.
Now, moving on to this season.
I really enjoyed how they decided on a different approach to this season, actively pursuing the investigations and revealing more information about monos + probes which we didn't have before. Sure at times it kinda felt like info dumping which could've been done way better but hey - they tried. Scenarios and props for this weren't anything great either but honestly, that's common with web series, especially BLs - it isn't as if season 1 was better - it was actually way worse with all the cheap awful color rush editing. So can't say I had high expectations for that.
Now this is where it gets different - I like Se Hyun. I really like him.
Yes, I like Yeon Woo's new love interest, woo hoo!! Contrary to what previously happened with Yoo Han, I was able to emphatize with Se Hyun's character and to actually get invested in his story. I don't want to spoil anyone so I won't comment further on that but while I literally didn't care about Yoo Han's backstory, I kept wanting to learn more about Se Hyun.
Acting was also way better this season, from all aspects. Yoo Jun hadn't been bad in the previous season but here he did better which I'm really happy about! Hyuk as Se Hyun did a good job - I liked his expressions, cuteness and his playfulness, while also being able to portray believable sadness. I don't know if it was because Yoo Han was constantly wearing a mask in season 1 - I think facial expressions might have been one of the reasons why I wasn't able to emphatisize with his character - but then again, I've emphatized so much with characters who are written to be basically expressionless so it doesn't seem like a good excuse ><
One big downside I have with this season, however, is the ending. I really hope there's a 3rd season cause there's no way its ending like that. Time to go read fanfic or smth to fill that ending black hole.
Overall, it isn't perfect, far from it, but it's definitely better than the first season, in my opinion that is. I understand the people who are even reluctant to watch this because of Yoo Han - a friend of mine is like that - but I suggest you give it a try. There's people who enjoyed it, people who didn't.
For me, it's a solid 7.5/10.
My advice is: if you can't let Yoo Han go - stay with the first season instead of hating on this one; if you think you can let him go and have a new perspective - watch it, I think it's worth it ^^

A Colorless Sequel
As a big fan of the first season, I anticipated this sequel the moment it was announced. Unfortunately, this season disappoints me to the point that I felt like they wasted a great opportunity to create a more distinct flow of story. Yoo Han has been kidnapped and this season focused on the MONOs desperation of wanting to see colors and undergo probe surgery, which was later on found out that it was an experimental procedure that resulted in the death of the MONOs who turn out to be the guinea pig without their knowledge. The victims of this test surgery include Se Hyun’s sister and Yeon Woo’s mother. The story is confusing. Still love the concept but the execution was poorly done and feels like they're the only one who understands what's going on in the story. A bland and plain season, just like how MONOs can’t see a color without their probes.
Some flaws I can’t help but to question in the show are:
- How can they determine the outstanding employee of the quarter? They based it from what?
- The power of the main protagonist. Two teenagers managed to stop an adult scam facility, and fought against plenty of men who are older than them. How can they beat them all? Unbelievable.
- The two side-characters. How can a student interrupt and force a broadcast of certain news on national TV? Wow, what a skillful technique.
- Background music has been abruptly cut a few times. Hey, can’t we listen to nice music with a good timing of when to end it?
- The unacceptable appearance of the deceased sister to Yeon Woo’s dream. Do they have nothing more realistic to think about? Probe and Mono are a good fantasy but to shift into something incompatible to the concept is insignificant.
- The idiot guy who was on the run for the crime he did but still chose to cut into a broadcasting event that led him to be arrested. Please, this scene was so funny! No more ideas? I can buy a classic scene but not this one.
- Lastly, the action scene was not suited for the main character. Hey, he is so cute throwing his punches like that. He fits the adorable role better than a student who is good at fighting.
To be honest, I supposedly gave this a much lower score but Kim Se Hyun was just so enchanting and appealing that I felt sad and decided to adjust my score a little higher. Hyuk was a good addition to the show. As Yeon Woo says to himself, Se Hyun is so cute and lovely. His pouty lips want me to see him kiss Yeon Woo so much hahaha but I’m still salty to witness a dream-kissing-scene without seeing their lips touch each other. Anyway, I also wanted that forehead kiss as a gift coming from Se Hyun hahaha.
Yeon Woo has two boys who love him now. One is his probe and the other one is a MONO just like him. Despite the disappointment I felt this season, I want to see another season with Yoo Han’s comeback. The ending gives us a hint already so it is possible to become a reality.
Good enough for a continuation but can be carried out more than good.

Extremely disappointed after such a beautiful 1st season
It looks like after heavily investing in the first season with its astonishing and beautiful visual treats and color exploration and constantly on loop OST, they felt a bit disappointed with the audience turnover and suddenly decided to trim down the budget to such an extent that the show ends up becoming a cheap indie production (which are still better most of the times, at least when it comes to stories). The production was extremely choppy, music ends abruptly anywhere and there's sudden transitions from one scene to the other. There isn't any grayscale theme or color rush exploration done at all in the entire second season which totally nulls the core concept of the entire show. The charm of the first color rush was it totally transported to an entirely another dimension and gave an strange and mysterious vibe to it. The visual exploration was phenomenal, so much so that it had a potential of a full fledged Kdrama. So naturally viewers will have a lot expectations from the second season, for which the show so badly disappoints.
One thing they were pretty consistent with from the first season regarding the show, the CHEMISTRY! Which was still extremely awkward and felt too forced! Please cast actors who are comfortable with their roles and not just doing it for the sake of clout! Thank you!

crush, friends to (almost) lovers, paranormal, suspense, murder investigation
Same director but altered cast as Hwall/Hur Hyun Jun (Yoo Han) is out. This time the plot revolves around less monos & probes and more just monos. Yeon Woo searching for his mother (and, sort of, his probe) joined by Se Hyun, whose sister is involved. As in Color Rush this BL is stylish, but it’s not as narratively innovative as the first installment. We all kinda saw the reveal of SeHyun’s identity coming, but it does mean we’re right back in gay allegory territory for obvious reasons (they are both the same identity AKA same gender). This time the question is:
Can you miss something you never had? Especially when it has to do with your own identity? Also, has SeHyun switched his (supposedly) natural inclination towards obsession onto Yeon Woo?
I liked it more than I was expecting to. And I liked Hyuk a lot more than I was expecting too, actually. And it was clever, notice SeHyun in the Yoo Han style hoodie, but carefully not a color Yoo Han ever wore?
Honestly, in the end I don’t know what to say about Color Rush 2.
Does it stand alone as a BL? I don’t know that’s not how I watched it, and I doubt others will.
Does it work as the second installment of a trilogy? Absolutely.
Does it work as the final installment of a duology. Absolutely NOT.
So yeah, what else can I do but say, for now..

Uhm...i don't even know how to rate this. I have...questions. Having a new love interest was a weird decision, considering the plot of the first season. But I do have to admit that acting-wise Hyuk was an upgrade. His character was really sweet, too. Definitely the highlight of this season.
The plot had some interesting ideas but of course not enough time or budget to really flesh it out.
But my most pressing question is:
How and when did Se Hyun break all these bones? He got hit in the back once, then his head was bleeding(?) and suddenly when he woke up all his bones were broken despite all villains already having been defeated before he passed out? Huh?
Also, the kiss scenes...come on. I'm not even sure their lips were touching for the first "kiss" lol. The camera panned so far away. It's funny how BL kisses in kdramas seem to be at where hetero kisses were 15 years ago. Don't you dare move your lips!
Also: Is seeing color really worth killing people and undergoing dangerous surgery? Idk I feel like it's not that deep.

Color that felt too rushed
To begin, I liked the first season, it did have room for improvement but for what it was it was good enough. I didn't have that much of high expectations but was definitely expecting something different from this second season.I liked the new character and the chemistry they had together, though because i rewatched the first season before this one I did miss Yoo Han a bit. (Honestly if they left it as a bromance overall it would have been better and less conflicting). The music was fine and so was the production, although in some cases you could tell they had a low budget and tried to make more than they could with it.
The story was interesting but definitely more complicated to explore with the short run time and amount of episodes they had, honestly I feel like if they didn't add that many characters and aspects maybe it wouldn't have felt like it was too rushed or too lacking.
Spoilers:
Tbh I was expecting that we would be able to see things managed better, like the fact that they decided to put Yoo Han in a hospital bed in the postcredits??? that made me a bit upset, also the kissing scene between the leads this time was a bit confusing, i left wondering if Yeon Woo was actually leaving, nonetheless their friendship is cute.
Overall a bit disappointing and lacking in terms of pñroduction and run time, its an entertaining watch but idk if i'll rewatch it again, i definitely liked the first season better. If they were to release a third season though I would watch it lol.

Wtf is going on this season
My first reaction after the first few minutes which lingered into the rest of the series...I came in excited about the second season as there were still a lot of questions to be answered from the first season. But somehow, this season added even more questions and plotlines that don't make sense. They should have killed off Yoo Han because the kidnapping reason for his disappearance sounds so lame, and it feels like MC is cheating in a way by adding the new love interest Sehyun. The "romantic" moments between the two feel out of place and abrupt, at this point I'd rather them just stay as friends even though this is supposed to be BL. They're cute but they never tied up the loose ends with Yoo Han so it feels wrong for them to be together romantically. What happened to Yeon Woo's color rush moments? None since his probe Yoo Han got kidnapped IN FRONT OF WEON WOO and Yeon Woo couldn't save him somehow /facepalm. I would get excited when Yeon Woo feels excited from the color rush, and feel sad when Yeon Woo stars experiencing decoloring. Now these moments are gone because Sehyun is a Mono too.
There is so much to explore in terms of the world building with Mono and Probes, but like the top reviewer said they wasted all the potential and added an unnecessary plotline. It's focused on some secret society shit and Sehyun's sister. Which I guess could be done well, but it's just way too rushed and the way the main characters are able to enter the "secret" society is too easy, lol. This season has a hard time focusing on who the main character is. Sometimes it's Yeon Woo, othertimes it shifts to Sehyun or Sehyun's sister's perspective.
The ending was so anticlimactic. They find Yeon Woo's mom and assume she's dead because of her hairband drifting in a pond...there's no dead body, and Yeon Woo just quietly accepts her death even though his mom seemed so important to him in season 1. Also the "kiss" between Yeon Woo and Sehyun was so fake even though Sehyun imagined it. I didn't think there could be a kiss any worse than what happened with Yeon Woo and Yoo Han in season 1 but here we are. Stop it with the head tilting to make it seem like the actors kissed please.
The first season had some odd moments too but overall I was able to follow the story and a depth of emotions. In season 2, whenever someone is sad or angry, it feels so surface level. I can't tell if it's the actors' fault because I think mostly the writing and editing is just so bad. I came in with higher expectations based on the reviews - I wish I could say I liked it as much as the others did, but I didn't.

Super frustrating: such a waste of potential !
Despite its flaws, I liked the season 1 of this drama thanks to its really interesting concept: the colour rush and the "probe" vs "mono" relationship making the BL story developed quite original.Unfortunately what drew me in the show is not there anymore: one of the main lead has left and what could have led to an interesting storyline regarding how the remaining "mono" guy is coping without his "probe" is not really exploited. Indeed, the writer did some strange choices regarding the plot. The elements that were the most exciting in season 1 (the mono being addicted to his probe which is his everything) are not the main focus anymore and instead the spotlight is put on the thriller aspect of the show. Unfortunately, the universe is not built well enough for the stakes to be compelling and the ending adds a bit more to the overall frustration.
This season 2 is such a waste of potential: there are still many good ideas (the surgery, the drugs,...) but the writing stays too superficial to showcase them in an appealing way. There are couple of points that picked my interest up but it came into play much too late given the length of the show.
The acting is also very average: the emotional scenes did not work, I did not fell the chemistry between the actors and some of the side characters seen were acted really badly. I honestly almost laughed at some of the action scenes because of the cast doing so poorly in them as well as the directing not helping...Even though the making did not impress me at all, I enjoyed a lot the two songs from the OST.
I would not recommend this to people unless you really loved the season 1. Even if you have seen it, proceed with caution as you might get very frustrated by all that wasted potential. Despite my disappointment, I might still give it a shot if there is another season: I find the concept so fascinating that I'm ready to give it another chance.

They Tried ... But a Cliffhanger ending
Okay so this drama was not what I had expected, thought they would have a continuation from the 1st one, but sadly this went in a whole different direction then expected. The storyline was for me to the point, it kind of flowed through and was the pacing was just right, they needed to find out what happened to everyone, and so they just went ahead and got on with it, there was no drag and think and contemplate of what to do next, or how to do it.
The characters were sort of well matched, I was surprised to learn of Kim being a mono as well, I honestly thought it was only his sister, so that kind of made more interested to see where they go too, the acting of Yoo-jun (playing Choi Yeon-woo) remains as one of the solid points of both seasons. In the first season he deals with the fact that he is a mono, his mother is also a mono but is missing, and he finds new friends and also finds Yoo-han who is also his probe. He experiences the rush of being able to see colors and also the disappointment of losing that ability after the decoloring effect begins. In season 2, he goes from the uncertainty of his mother still being missing, to the dread of witnessing Yoo-han's kidnapping, to the potential of uncovering all the illegal activities the Gray Scale/Woksun/Nerve Candy people (led by a mono that goes by the nickname of "Monowife"), to dealing with his new feelings towards Kim Se-hyun, to finally finding out his mother did die but being rather calm about it.
The music was not so bad, although it was only the one main song.
Overall: This did end with a cliff hanger and the so it begs the question of a Season 3 Coming, if that is so I really hope they get the right production, and screw up the story between the 3 guys?
Basically watch it if you enjoyed the first season, but do not have high expectations on this season.
