Disappointed :/

Well for the positives of this webdrama - the actors are all good looking. But that alone can't really hold the show. The storyline isn't all that great and nothing really keeps you coming back for it. Also it is very predictable. I remember starting ths drama because it came on thee list of the most popular drama but it really wasn't worth it. One thing about it is that, luckily, it's a short drama. So the viewers still end up watching the entire drama despite the ordinary story. All in all, if you feel like the despirate need to watch something and you've finished all major dramas, you could try it out. For me, rewatching this is truly out of the options.

Should have been better

I felt that the story was too complex to be crammed into 15 very short episodes.
It wasn't conclusive, wandered and unless there will be a S2, the ending was awful.
In the early eps some cast members were quite stiff in their acting, but by the end, all seemed to have relaxed in to their roles and worked well together.
Character Su Jeong irritated the pants off me!
Definitely needed either a simpler story or longer episodes; disappointing but not absolutely dreadful.
Rewatch as a filler or for something nice to look at.

All the guys are in love with the half vampire

It is very interesting to note that the ML in our story did not seem to have any agency or the any way to seemingly say no to anything. I found it odd that every time a character took blood from him even without his permission he said it was fine or okay to the FL who tried to stop them. Maybe it was the vampire charm, but, we will never know.

I did find it quite funny that the most vampire looking guy ever (Second male lead) was thinking that a half vampire(FL) who said she was trying to blend in as a human would like a guy who looks so much like a vampire.

Spoilers for the end:
Was the werewolf guy actually a vampire? Do werewolves drink human blood in this world? Is he a half vampire half werewolf? We will never know.

I recommend instead of watching this to go watch Orange Marmalade instead. That was a much better school sort of vampire plot than this and I understood the ending and the plot much better.

I'm not going to come out of the gate just hating on this show, because honestly, it was a really great show!
I understand because it was originally a webtoon, there is only so much room and budget you have to work with. What they had was freaking amazing though!! I loved all of the actors, they did great jobs.
I just feel like the story itself really needs a lot of buffering. It had so much potential.

I really hope that if they get a chance to redo this, I hope they take it and make longer episodes while keeping all of the original cast and staff. I hate that I rated it as low as I did because I feel like this show could be a easy 9-10 for me. I love the idea of everything that was going on, I just feel like everything was rushed and I don't even know most of the characters. Like, I won't lie. Episode 14, I hardly understood.... and that was a CRITICAL episode -- they dropped a bomb on us in that one and just kinda left it at that. Then episode 15 hit and it was all sugar.... and honestly made me HATE a character.

I hate Su Jeong with a passion now. She went from being a really good friend to having crushes to "well since THEY don't like me, I GUESS you'll just have to do". I HATE how she treats Jin Seo. They haven't even started dating and she treats him like shit. "you have to look good" "we aren't dating until I say so" "you don't look good enough to walk with me" -- all this shit is just a few examples of what she has said to him. What the actual fuck. I don't think I have ever went from liking a character to hating them SO FAST!!!! She really played the sweet girl well, only to hide what a complete stuck up bitch she is. UGH!!!! -_-

When I found out this drama was actually 15 eps, 10 minutes each, I got scared. Happy that this would be a simple and quick watch, but also scared because short dramas are a hit or miss. I saw the trailers and previews for this all over instagram and youtube and was excited to see this main character Yoon Chi Woo as this suspicious attractive vampire that was good and bad ready to find some romance. Instead, we got this drama about 3 boys who fell for half vampire/half human Son Yeon Seo. There was nothing about her that was spectacular except that she wanted to be a human and not vampire, but had this special ability to smell blood and find attributes about the human it belonged to. As for the boys, I felt that the fortune teller did a great job at explaining their "love square" : Do Hyun Je was connected to animals (hence the werewolf), Yoon Chi Woo related to blood - but also related to bad, and Song Meo Ru who had a great fate, but a tad dumb. I am not sure if it was Viki's subtitles, but I laughed so hard because this was basically everything we needed to know about these guys and all we were going to get.

Also, for a drama that "revolved" around "love" and Yeon Seo figuring out which of the boys she wanted to be with, even though there was only really one guy she wanted to be with since the beginning, I didn't believe that she was actually "in love" with Meo Ru. If anything, I feel like she was attracted to his blandness and mundaneness. All she ever wanted was to live a bland and normal life and what better to do that with, with the blandest boy ever who was maybe anemic... or maybe he was just being dramatic but he was super sweet so he got some points. But, I still think that she had better chemistry with the two other boys, especially with Hyun Je, which was super random.

If anything, my favorite character who was the ONLY one who went through any character development which is wild in these short episodes, was Chi Woo. He came in as this bad boy who was hired to track down the blood of "the one" and who was the ex-fiance of Yeon Seo. Along the way, he learned to act sincerely on his feelings and also redeemed himself as everyone thought that he was this terrible vampire causing trouble when he was just chilling at home. I also enjoyed that they hinted that he was bisexual and I LOVED his banter with Hyun Je.

But with everything I did like, there was so much more I didn't like and was disappointed.

I know with such a short drama, we weren't able to get background information, but ANYTHING would have been nice. I feel like whenever there was an intense moment something random and huge was brought up like we were supposed to know their motivations for doing things. It just made emotional scenes empty and it was hard to connect with all the characters. We did get a little but of background with why Yeon Seo wanted a normal life, but it was brought up so casually as everyone talks about their mother being drained of her life force by their vampire husband.

This drama had SO much potential if the episodes were longer and we were given more information. I felt like the watcher was pushed into the middle of a story without context, to witness a single minor plot, and then pulled out of it.

such potential

This was a bit disappointing.
Overall I'm not mad that I watched it but I'm probably never going to watch/think about it again.
Things I didn't like:
- Chi Woo's lips were always so red and I know that he's a vampire but I think that was overkill
- Some of the acting took me out of the story
- in episode 14 something happened that was kind of unexpected but not in a good way more in a way like they didn't develop the story properly

Things I liked:
- The actress who played Yeon Seo
- the episodes are only around 10 minutes each so it's really easy to watch
-The Llama vampire toy thing

Okay for passing time or listening in the background

I file this drama under "If you like to listen to things in the background or you just really need to pass the time on your bus ride to school, this might be the drama for you."

Ultimately the plot is rushed and kind of nonsensical. There is not a lot of tension to it. The girl isn't all that compelling of a main character except for a kind of interesting backstory related to her mother, and the main guy isn't attractive in my opinion. He also just doesn't really do anything other than be there... The male vampire and the "convenience store oppa" are cute.

But the episodes are short, and the vocabulary is quite simple. I'd also advise watching this series if you're learning Korean, and as of writing this at least the series is free on YouTube, so you aren't losing much by watching it.

This drama has interesting concept, but it's quite weak

At first, I thought that The Sweet blood is an ordinary drama, so I was quite disappointed to found out that it only is shorter web series, because I really liked the concept. After watching the whole thing I still think that this kind of story would be much more eye-catching if it was a typical drama with the usual length and amount of episodes. The web-drama concept doesn't suit it at all and the episodes are too short so the whole storyline seems too rushed and messy at some parts. The plot can be quite confusing with too much and nothing happens at the same time. Also, I was expecting this drama to be action-packed or that it would contain more supernatural things. Because besides some bloodsucking, occasional red eyes, the second male lead's makeup, it looked pretty ordinary to me and the fighting scenes were also bland.

For me the cast was okay, but I must admit that the main lead was pretty weak and didn't have much chemistry with the main female lead. I would look at the vampire or the werewolf with her as the end couple, although it does makes sense that since she wants to live like a human, she would date a human as well. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of love triangles/squares...the main male lead kinda ruins this aspect as he feels more like a side character to me.

The thing that Yeon Seo and the vampires can tell a lot by smelling people's blood was super interesting. I wish the plot was more about finding the murderer and the human blood winery part when it was revealed that the werewolf is actually from the rival team and is double-sided, which would add a lot of interesting parts to the web drama. Especially when Yeon Seo is trained in wine tasting so it would be amazing if she and the others would use their powers and knowledge to find the murderer and then have that huge plot twist about the werewolf revealed.

Overall it wasn't the worst drama ever and I might rewatch it again if I was extremely bored or ran out of dramas to watch, but this definitely has a lot of wasted potential.

Just no!

I'll start with the good: it was short and didn't waste too much of my time. Some nice clothes, ummm, yup, that's pretty much it!
The story was weird and kind of all over the place. Who is good, who is bad? It didn't take too long until I just didn't care. It IS possible to write a decent fantasy script, but it was definitely not done here.
The acting was wooden and unnatural. Some of the blame for this must be placed at the feet of the writer, as well. If you don't have a good script, there's only so much you can redeem yourself, acting-wise.
Now, can we talk about what I considered to be the elephant in the room? What was up with the makeup and contacts? The makeup was poorly done (or should I say, overdone), and it was difficult for me to get past it.
So, now I've got to re-watch something I've loved, to get the stench of this show out of my system.

It was still fun

I mean I was confused till the end that who is actually the main lead?? Joon chi woo or song meo ru . I really expected it to be Joon chi woo till the end cuz he looked more muture handsome hot and affectionate as compared to song meo ru but still they chose the other guy so I am disappointed! And there was actually no romance in the drama the gurl was so atif still the 3nd and then she just suddenly changed and the plot was interested but story was left incomplete at the end so I will recommend this drama only if you have toouch spare time or else it's useless
