The story is good, the whole cast acting also good. FML and ML is so good looking. It just have a lot of plot hole imo. Like how FML is always available anytime with their entrepreneurship, when she is in medical major that 'should' be busy like crazy. It just doesn't make sense. Will be better if put her in another major. Also when FML repeat a class, how come they can't use their phone for a whole month ? None school will make that rule #pfft. So many unnecessary story too, I fast forwarding a lot of scenes.

the casts are cute

A drama that can be watched when you are feeling down. the story is too cute. so do the casts. nothing is gonna let you down. just finished watching the whole drama. i am just crying inside because it ended so early. the whole drama was good, specially the last episode was a bomb. it was too cute to handle. i just wanna fall in love and have a happy family just like they had. not to mention, the actor Ji Junxing is too cute. He kinda looks like Ling Yi from Put Your Head On My Shoulder to me. But I liked him so much..

A modern retake on a C drama youthful romance

I’ve seen a lot of C drama high school romance and I really like the modernization on this version. You don’t really have that super shy girl anymore. I really appreciate making the FL lead really strong and dress actually cute!

The Casting is super baby, you got the leading pair in their early twenties (21 and 23) and so there are a lot of fresh faces to see. I can see the FL becoming the new fan favorite among the female actresses in China, so watch out.

The drama is pretty typical in your high school C drama troupe with the rag-tag team of best friends. It’s a coming-of-age drama with a mixture of slice of life kind of writing. When you start out the drama, they make sure you know the couple ends up together, so the story is really about the leads falling in love.

I liked the paring up couples in this drama, you get a lot of the second couple, where their storyline is a little more angsty and emotional, unlike the main couple. But they do throw in a BL story romance. As much as a BL romance can be in a C drama. I haven’t seen that before.

Since the main couple have a very cute and simple relationship there isn’t much angst and the main story is focused on the little story arcs throughout the drama. Some of the arcs can be a little silly, but this is a C drama and I do feel like censorship is at it’s highest. Who complains about wanting your kid to be a computer programmer instead of entrepreneur? Or the fact the kids in the class can’t participate in a basketball game because they have to study? Yes, it’s a little silly, but that’s what you get for C dramas.

So with that said, at times the pacing can be a little slow, but once you get to the part where they kids go to college, I feel like the pacing ramps up a bit and to my surprise there is a little more angst. It’s a little frustrating to see the leads go through hardships (since that hasn’t been the tone or pacing of the show), but I was pretty glued to those episodes.

Overall, a good C drama high school romance with a strong female lead that actually dresses cute. So a win in my opinion.

A cute Young Love RomCom - worthy to binge-watch

I was not planning to watch "Time and Him are Just Right" at first, but since there was nothing good in CDrama lane recently, I decided to binge-watch it.

To my surprise, it is not bad. It is a cute story about young love and their ups/downs during their relationship from high school to college and professional life through misunderstanding and how they persevered.

I have not watched these young actors before, and it seems they are newbies to the industry; their acting skills are mediocre. The second CP did a better job of acting than the main CP.

Overall, I enjoyed the drama, giving it a 7.5 rating.

A simple rom com to drive the blues away

If you are hesitant about it coming under school genre, please read this . A normal rom com which makes you feel hope, happiness.. As someone who cringes and dislikes school dramas , this one was something which made me hooked since beginning. Loved the simplicity, fun and healing.

Both the main leads personalities clash but they trust each other. loved their friendship group, freee spirited youth but determined to fight for one's dreams. you might face regrets for ur past but u will still hope for them and cheer on for them to accomplish one's dreams.

Cute but super dragging.

Long story spanning from high school to working life - same style as A Love So Beautiful, but it is not as plot-driven. At least, the story is rational. ML+FL are not silly. In the story, there's nothing heart-wrenching, nothing much in it, so it's quite dragging to the point of almost boring. I actually had to increase speed and skim since ep12. Personally I think they can finish the whole story within 15 episodes instead of 25.

Anyway, the production quality is good and ML+FL's characters+acting are cute. These were the points that kept me watching until the end or else I'd drop at around ep15-17.

Organic Relationship after a slightly roughish start

This drama is highly rated and so, I gave it a go. I was worried that it would be a little "too young" for me but I was pleasantly surprised by how relatable and cute the drama was.

What I liked:
- The conflicts were resolved fairly quickly. No one tried being noble idiot (other than Xie Ang and Mian Mian). Their relationships were all pretty normal and relatable. "Slice of life" like. I liked that conflicts were fairly swiftly resolved and not long-drawn out over many episodes.
- The actors and actresses were newbies but they acted earnestly and were adorable enough.
- The ML and FL were truly into each other which was nice to see. The FL was chummy with Qin Kai but she was never coquettish or improper. She appeared to truly treat Qin Kai well as a good friend which was nice to see. Qin Kai did not over-step his boundaries either. He really liked FL but he was not crazy like some other actors can be in some dramas.
- The growth of the characters from teenagers to young adults was nice to see.
- The ending was a cliched but happy one and so, I was a happy camper.

What didn't impress me much:
- The ML and FL did not have much sizzle. Sure, they looked pretty good together but I would not describe their being together as "hot" or "sizzling". They were a very ordinary "hmm, okay" couple.
- Xie Ang and Mian Mian did not have a healthy relationship from the beginning or at all. However, they realised that they had to work on their relationship and make things better if they truly wanted to be together. They did not communicate clearly with each other. I think the lesson that viewers can take away from here is that for relationships to work, both parties need to communicate pleasantly and considerately to each other.

Overall, this is a pretty decent drama with newbies in it. I'd say: Watch. But, there's nothing much to re-watch. No withdrawal symptoms after the show is done and dusted.

GREA YOUTH LOVE STORY

I love this drama, because it has a harmonious sequel in the life of protagonists. School life, university time and adult life. A love story for every age. I didnt like music of drama. But the plot was wonderful. The beggining was boring, but i like alot the continue story. I didnt believe that the cast will be intresting. I had a crush on qin kai, who deserved a better ending. The female lead and man lead story was more intresting and lovable from the main protagonists.
I recommended it for everyone this. It was the only drama school, which it was the most wrapped up from the others.
I hope that i help with my review.
Thank you

Just right and then more..

I love this youth drama, it is the usual coming of age drama that we see mostly in cdrama. Yes, it is predictable but has its own uniqueness from other high school drama. The FL is actually smart and make sense all the time, she can stand on her own. The ML is not some jerk who feel sorry afterwards and he actually fell in love first with the girl. Plus there is an emotional background story on how they met and why the FL follows the ML which makes more sense and have emotional effect on me.
The chemistry between the fl and ml are overflowing and they really act naturally that make me wish they date in real life.

Overall, just watch this all light, fun and emotional.

Dang...it was a pretty good run until...

I picked this drama up randomly since I saw it on Youtube and just wanted something nice, sweet, and easygoing. After just a brief look at the reviews, I decided to take a chance on it. From what I saw, everyone said this was such a good, underrated drama and the only reason why it wasn't popular was because of a lesser known cast. So I was all for it and I was really enjoying the episodes honestly. Some of it didn't really make sense but I didn't mind, as long as our little group was having their enjoyable, happy high school days. This drama reminded me a lot of When I Fly Towards You, which I loved so much and so I was very much enjoying this drama as well. That is, until now when I decided to write this review. We'll see how the rest of this drama goes but I reached the point of the drama where Lin Xi is being held back a year because randomly, her father got injured from the people from the car accident. I have a huge issue with this and it just feels so unnecessary for this to happen. I'm not sure why they decided to go this route but I hope it makes sense when I continue watching. If they were going to go this route, I feel like they should have fleshed out the accident story a lot of more and hinted to these troubles prior to doing this. So as of now, I have a bad taste in my mouth from this drama and hence the 7/10 score since I was thoroughly enjoying it before. We'll see if it gets better but I don't have high hopes. Also it's episode 17/25 and our main couple is STILL not together? It's giving draggy at this point. Anyways, I'll be back after I finish this drama, if I finish this drama. Bye for now!

UPDATE (beware of spoilers):
I finally finished watching and man, those last 9 episodes were honestly a struggle to get through, even if I was 2x speeding most of the way through. I feel like after they graduated high school, it went downhill. The misunderstandings were dumb, I really hated seeing the second couple and felt like it dragged on way too long, and even though I loved Qin Kai, I can't believe they kept the useless love triangle go on for so long. Honestly, I almost would've preferred to see our FL together with Qin Kai, I feel like their love story had more connection than our main couple. Yeah so overall, I'm quite disappointed and I'm glad I'm done so I can move on to another drama.

UPDATE 2:
OMG. BUT. I did forget to add that I love that this drama decided to sneak some subtle LGBTQ themes in there. Our couple is so cute and even though, it wasn't fully confirmed, I think we all know what really happened. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see it develop completely but the insinuation is there. Hopefully this has a snowball effect for future dramas.

Already In My Rewatch List

I expected this to be a bootleg “A Love So Beautiful” but I was wrong. Very wrong. This is AMAZING! It's similar to "A Love So Beautiful" but doesn't have the horribly rude male lead who the female lead falls in love with. Yeah, Ji Jun Xing had his rude/mean moments but those aren't comparable to Jiang Chen's. Plus Lin Xi isn't as much of a doormat compared to Chen Xiaoxi. She at least knows to stand up for herself when needed. And these two are so cute! They have my heart definitely. So in conclusion, go watch this! :))
