Cute lesbian romance in a fantasy setting
“There's something I still don’t understand. Can you enlighten me Ms. A-Ze? I don’t know why, but whenever I look at you, my heart starts beating strangely.”Legend of Yunze is a short series focussing on the developing romance between the cultivator Jiang Zhao Tun and the fairy-like A-Ze. It is also a Xianxia series since it combines the elements of magic and demonic cultivation.
As our protagonists investigate the mysterious evil that has taken over the Changshui Village, they start to fall in love slowly and Jiang Zhao Tun’s experiences teach her that there is an evil inside humans which supercedes that of demons.
In 12 episodes of merely 3 minutes or less, Legend of Yunze manages to cover a lot of ground. For one, the romance is really cute with all the hesitancy and sweetness of first love. The CGI is also commendable, its not over the top but looks better than some Cdramas I have checked out. The actresses bring the characters to life and feel different here as compared to their roles in a previous drama, Legend of Yun Qian. There are some comical moments too which attribute a more light hearted vibe to this series.
Despite being a low cost project, this drama has managed to deliver. 8.5/10.

the story is already good, the actresses are beautiful too. i really wish that the duration is much more longer like any drama series. :( i really love this one, the female leads also really beautiful. there are extras videos too that yall can see, i hope there will be season 2!!why does it must be at least 500 characters in length? idk what to say anymore :0
ah, why is GL's drama always be like this ? short duration and seems like they're too rush it...
WAA what to do. disliked and liked ? i liked the actresses but i disliked how short it was! >:(

Super short and cute
I didn't expect this drama to be this level of short but it was SUPER short. Usually Chinese dramas can drag on to 40+ episodes with 45min each, but this is like 12 episodes and I'm talking 2 minutes per episode kind of short. This is a drama perfect for people with short attention spans lol.The chemistry and contrast between the two FLs is really cute and the story is well played-out. I liked the mystery element, and it also had some heavy themes. Things happen super fast and the end part felt rushed, I actually wish there was more to the story! Due to how short it is, it didn't give the audience enough time to build up feelings.

Finally, a xianxia baihe series! Though short :(
I've been waiting for something like this!If you love xianxia and baihe, it's just the show for you.
It's quite short though, you can finish in just half an hour.
The story is pretty well done and well paced and air tight. The acting and chemistry are good. Exceeded expectations for a douyin project, and would make a fantastic drama series on its own. The vfx are also nicely done. And the characterisations are well written, as well as some unexpected plot twists!
Be sure to check out the extras on their Douyin too! :) If you can like, comment, follow, interact, please do - I want a season 2 so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A solid romcom in a fun fantasy setting
Now, one could quibble over the definition of "rom-com" but that's what this is and I will die on that hill thank you very much. While I personally don't like this as much as some other shows (The Vampires being my personal favourite), it's still a really solid watch.
The production quality is great, as is to be expected by now, the characters are interesting and lovable, and I actually found myself intrigued by the story line.
Usually these shows suffer a bit from having to cram an insane amount of plot into too short a runtime, but here I actually think the story is perfectly paced and easy to follow.
Sure, there is the odd plot hole, but nothing too grievous or which takes away from the enjoyment of the sapphic sword nonsense.
If you're a fan of C-dramas, or fantasy romance, or queer women in ever more fantastical outfits, then this one is for you.
I will also say that even if you're not hooked by the end of the first season I'd recommend sticking with it anyway.
The plot does pick up a fair bit in season two.

One of the best gl I've watch
The plot is simple yet compelling. The CGI is not cringey as opposed to other chinese dramas. The actors portrayed their roles perfectly and they have this chemistry that I rarely see in other gl dramas. The development of the characters' relationship with each other is slow and subtle and I think that's what makes it unique from others. Unlike other gls which went from staring at each other's eyes to making love, it depicted how wlw would develop in real life. There is no overwhelming sexual tension, just slowburn romance. Every episode makes me root for the both them. I really love the drama and kudos to everyone behind it!Was this review helpful to you?

short and sweet!!
Okay, obviously everyone is sad that this is so short, and I feel the same. I would've loved for this to have longer episodes or even more episodes (I'm def going to binge the sequel and special serieses tomorrow!!) But I haven't let that affect how I rated this show, because it doesn't really speak on what the show itself is like (well, beyond the quick plot obviously)A'Ze and Jiang Zhaoyun are absolutely adorable, they had funny moments, sweet moments, and lots of cute moments. Their mutual crushing is so fun to watch, especially as someone who hasn't seen many GL shows/movies in general (including western media). They're both a bit hesitant and confused at times but things progress naturally for a fastburn and I loved how protective and kind they were to each other
Bai Ling's story was done interestingly and the little twist was not something I expected!! One of my favorite moments was when Zhaoyun kicked that guy in the face without even leaning back, amazing dkjfhsah
For being a web series, the visuals are really good, the outfits are cute, the makeup was nicely done! Literally can't think of any complaints. I also really enjoyed how all of the characters felt and looked like their own selves, even the ones that didn't have much screen time
Absolutely recommend this if you're ever wanting to see a GL, watch a quick xianxia, or both!

cute, short
tw: suicide, violence, and implied sexual assaultDespite those trigger warnings, this was actually pretty cute. The relationship between the two main characters was fun to watch even though this felt like the first episode of a much longer drama. As opposed to some other shorts I've seen they didn't really cram too much into the time frame. The acting (specifically on the sterner female lead) was honestly pretty solid, the writing wasn't too bad.
The format was honestly the worst part - I think this was originally made for Douyin and so it's split into 2 minute episodes that include a lot of recapping. If someone made a cut of this that was just the actual story without end credits or recapping, it would probably only be about 10-15 minutes.

Cute
This was a quick, cute watch. The actresses were both very pretty and had nice chemistry. The plot was fine; it reminded me a bit of Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. There are a few repeated scenes, but the special effects are decent. I'll probably watch the sequel series if I have time. IMO, Legend of Yunze is worth the watch if you like GL fantasy short dramas! (Especially since it's only 30 min and easy to see all in one go.) 8/10. Recommended! I'll check out the actresses' other works as well. Was this review helpful to you?
MDZS but if it was Lesbian!
I'm a huge MDZS fan. I love it with all my heart and this story just reminds me of it so much because a cold love interest who wears blue? and a fun-loving love interest wearing red? I'm curious already. Also this story reminds me of the Yi city arc in MDZS. The acting could be better and with more production funds, an experienced director and a great CGI team, they could make magic is all I'm saying. The story feels rushed because each episode is like 3 mins long and has only 12 episodes. But if it were longer and more fleshed out I'm telling you it would be a hit!Was this review helpful to you?
