Just completed watching this drama and this is yet another orphaned and traumatised cold CEO who falls in love with a bubbly less rich girl. This time the girl is a country girl, who knows martial arts. The FL is a sweet, kind country girl who was thrust into the limelight and more or less onto the lap of a hard as nails CEO. Of course, the enemy to lover progression is guaranteed. The chemistry between male and female lead was amazing. They are so cute together which makes it easy to ship them. The ridiculously handsome ML really wowed me with his acting though. He did the comedy bits, slapstick, and exaggerated indignation surprisingly well also the support cast is not bad. The gaggle of company secretaries is largely used for light comedic relieve but they are surprisingly effective in that role. The trio of gossipy secretaries are a DELIGHT! You think this is going to be that standard and overused group who are malicious and vicious, but in reality they instantly are on Team Huahua the minute they meet her!! They ship the leads so hard core and I love their interactions among themselves and with Zhi Fei and Huahua. In every C-Drama the one woman character that is always obsessed with the ML but never had a chance was mostly comically in her failed attempts to gain Zhi Fei's attention and towards the end she's still stubborn but obviously not an obstacle or really even a blip on ZF's radar.

Overall I laughed most of the way through this. It was absolutely wonderfully funny. The Acting is great and the story magical. Both leads are superb. Every character was well though out. I loved her Martial Arts and his Grumpiness. This drama was a Joy to watch.

This is a cute drama that could’ve been great if not for making the female lead incredibly smart sometimes, terribly annoying other times, and staggeringly ingenuous for the most part. Rain Lu, as Shi Hua Hua can do cute and innocent very well, but her romantic scenes were not the best. Luo Zheng, as Zhou Zhi Fei, did very well delivering his role, especially when his traumas brought anguish and characters changes to a very smart and seemingly collected CEO of a major corporation. Although there are a few antagonistic characters in the drama, especially related to corporation takeover attempts, the skeleton in the closet was not really Zhou Zhi Fei’s blood trauma but his brother, Zhou Zhi Ran (poorly played by Ye Hao Ran) which turned out to be an evil character with supposedly good intentions that suffered from psychopathic behavior that is difficult to justify. Overall, a nice romantic and lighthearted drama about a mismatched couple finding love was ruined by writers trying too hard to create a mysterious and evil plot line that didn’t fit the overall drama’s tone and atmosphere.

Great trios, ok pairs but not so mismatched after all

This is yet another about another orphaned and traumatised cold CEO who falls in love with a bubbly less rich girl... This time the girl is a country girl, who knows martial arts but acts more like the little mermaid than a grown human being... Which kind of bothered me at times. And had me annoyed the first few episodes. However with time she grew on me and felt more human. The main leads story had very little to offer, including lack of process... mediocre chemistry but a bunch of back hugs and scenes on bridges. That said we did get a bunch of cliches (I love cliches) and stuff that made 0 sense. So this is defiantly a turn off your brain watch.

What I loved was the brother/cousin trio, their interactions where 90% gold but 10 oh come on... why did you have to go that way... lowering the score for this otherwise 10/10 trio. The secretary triplets are also a a lot of fun and so is the grandfather.

The second couple was a lot more lovable, interesting and made more sense than the first couple. These two actually mention the word consent and have a flirting push and pull period, agin packed with cliches but done fun. Giving us the rare experience of seen supporting characters that are great together and great characters regardless of their love interest. Had they switched stories with the mains this could easily have been a 9 star drama.

What bothered me the most was how they show country people it feels extremely off, noisy and dare I say stereotypical 9/10 scenes. The next thing to bother me was the infused unnecessary drama the last 3 episodes or so that felt both under developed and both ruined an otherwise lovely character (though there where warning signs) and added 0 to the plot.

All in all an ok watch, easy to binge, beautiful scenery, a few fun lines here and there and gif-worthy but not much more.

Hilarious Drama Turned Train Wreck

Fantastic start—super funny, outstanding acting, great chemistry, but the latter episodes turned twisted and bizarre. Just straight up weird. Mental illness was treated like a joke—extremely poor, irresponsible, and insensitive writing. The drama features the most bizarre sibling relationship I’ve ever seen. I could have really loved this drama if it hadn’t turned so dark. It left me with a hollow sadness and disappointment that I was still trying to process after it was over, like “What the heck just happened?!”

The ridiculously handsome ML really wowed me with his acting though. He did the comedy bits, slapstick, and exaggerated indignation surprisingly well. And, the kiss scenes did not disappoint at all! Man, oh man! He’s gooood. This insanely handsome man is my new crush . He was an actor I had dismissed previously, but I will definitely keep my eye out for his new projects now.

I feel the ML’s extreme good looks, his almost comic-book chiseled jaw, superhero good looks, kind of work against him, making him look cold and unlikeable. But, this drama “Perfect Mismatch” showcased his warmth very well. When he smiled big, with dimple and teeth showing, he became so down-to-earth and real and endearing. I’d love for Directors and future scripts to bring that approachableness out more so we can appreciate this actor more.

The FL does cute and adorable flawlessly. Her exaggerated country-bumpkin style turned track-suit queen was unappealing, but, then again, that was the point. Mr. Perfect liked her regardless of her appearance. They seemed like a mismatch, but in fact, they were perfect together.

The drama was disturbing, but the happy parts made me really happy. I smiled so much when the ML smiled. This actor seemed to genuinely like his cute and charming leading lady. His smiles seemed so real with her. And again, the kisses—Wow! I definitely revisit certain scenes over and over again and will rewatch the whole drama again one day.

More comedic than expected

Zhi Fei presents as a cold boss in charge and tries his hardest to project a certain image about himself at all times. However, on more than one occasion when Zhi Fei is at home and he's happy or excited, he transforms into a giant goofball. His dance moments will come on unexpectedly and if you don't burst out laughing at least once, I'd be surprised.

I think why a lot of people don't appreciate the FL in this drama is that they are expecting her to be the helpless damsel in a "cold ceo/warm woman" typical drama, but Huahua is actually the more dominant one and takes charge of the Zhi Fei's life pretty much from their first meeting, and honestly though he says he doesn't like it he very quickly adapts to it and even comes to crave the attention and care she lavishes on him. When she suddenly disappears he can't focus until she's back.

The secondary couple should have gotten a little more screen time, but I like their storyline and I love that there was a moment that talked about consent during one of their scenes. So many dramas often skip that or worse try to make it seem that it's the normal thing to do when you have one drunk and one sober person. This drama didn't get too heavy handed in the message but at least it was spoken out loud, and I, for one, appreciated that.

The one woman character that is always obsessed with the ML but never had a chance was mostly comically in her failed attempts to gain Zhi Fei's attention and towards the end she's still stubborn but obviously not an obstacle or really even a blip on ZF's radar.

There wasn't a ton of skinship in this drama, but you have to remember their romance took awhile to fully start and it is literally the very first romantic relationship either of them have had, especially with Huahua coming from a more emotionally and physically controlled as well as more conservative background it took awhile for her cylinders to get firing, if you know what I mean.

Minor spoiler below
-------

The writers really didn't know what to do with the little brother character, they tried to make him into an evil mastermind in one part of the drama but in the overall plot they wanted to show that he was a lost little boy who just hasn't grown up yet. ZhiRan is very smart when it comes to business and people, but when it comes to relationships and understanding that love is multiplied not hoarded...he has a lot of growing up to do in that department. I felt his redemption arc was kind of out of left field and I thought it dominated the final episode too much. That screen time could have been given to the leads and the second couple with better effect.

I give the overall drama a 9/10 but honestly give the final episode only a 5/10

Great start, nice middle, disappointing tail

This Show’s premise is hardly original. The FL is a sweet, kind country girl who was thrust into the limelight and more or less onto the lap of a hard as nails CEO. Of course, the enemy to lover progression is guaranteed. What set this Show apart is the chemistry of the leads. Their early interactions are a bit slapstick in nature and their comedic timing is good. They are so cute together which makes it easy to ship them. The melting of the ice king is a delight to watch if somewhat predictable. The innocent yet strong FL easily endeared herself to us.

The story is angst light for the most part. The support cast is not bad. The grandpa is all-seeing and sage like. The gaggle of company secretaries is largely used for light comedic relieve but they are surprisingly effective in that role. They are also the primary cheerleaders for our OTP. The 2CP has a rougher romantic journey and their meet-cute is good but it also included a big plot hole that is never explained. The antagonists are one dimensional and more irritating than dangerous. It provides just enough distraction to reduce the sugar content below WHO standard.

To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised by this show as it tells a simple story well and everything just clicks in the early to mid stages. The romance is the primary focus, and the leads are interesting enough for us to care for them. It will not win any awards but it is definitely better than the typical turn-key productions.

Much to my chagrin, the Show seems to have lost its way towards the end. It is kind of functional but in my eyes, it is shambolic and dubious in its delivery. Trouble started soon after we find out that the younger brother isn’t actually in love with the FL. I'm glad that they didn't throw in the ubiquitous breakup, but we are not out of the woods.

The problem starts to pile up once he decided to really go rogue and try to take over the company by backstabbing all and sundry. We'd have a decent chance to resolve the brothers' problem calmly and logically but the Show just went all in.

Once the escalation starts, the narrative logic starts to unravel. This is not helped by the one-note behaviour of the antagonists. The SFL is single-minded and immature. The business rival is a joke. The uncle is an annoying bit player and so one dimensional. There is no growth in any of the second tier characters.

Awkawrdly, the grandpa just sat back and look on disapprovingly. He should have some reserve power both as the chairman of the corporation as well as the head of the clan. He did the talk but not the walk. It is a very unusual turn of event for a head of a family/business in a c-drama.

Then so much time is wasted on looking for a cure of his condition. Most of those scenes are just paddings. I had to rewatch bits when he said that the FL has cured him. How? I didn't see her doing anything substantial. I watched that scene twice. All he said was that he needed to know that he won't be abandoned again. QED, the FL is the cure. Hmmm, the grandpa didn't abandon him and his brother is his shadow. I am baffled. Not to mention that it is not even psychobabble grade stuff. It is more like a minor lightbulb moment. Is that it? Is it true love or the sex? My PhD is riding on this thesis.

To add salt to the injury, the final boardroom showdown is so contrived and jokingly undramatic. The younger brother then just ran home and sulk. That’s one heck of an evil mastermind.

The whole segment about the visting master is largely filler. It is a bit of fan service and it would have worked better if they ejected the back-stabbing brother subplot and kept the narrative light and breezy. Then it would be some harmless, irrelevant fun. Now it is a bit cringey and awkward to be honest. The brother going with the master as his new student isn't a big surprise because that does round out his surprise visit and starts the brother’s redemption arc. The problem I have is the inconsistency in the narrative. The first scene, after a 3 years’ time skip, is the brother being a dick and won't help a girl in the village. Why? Then the next scene he is now the nicest “barefoot” doctor saving the same girl’s life. My head is spinning. Is he good or bad?
It is as if the writer couldn't put up a decent ending for the show and it got worked on by a committee, resulting in many drafts and more revisions. The last few episodes just feel kooky and shambolic. I was really enjoying the show for the most part but I ended up being disappointed in the end. Why does that sounds like a c-drama curse?

Stunningly good Drama

I laughed most of the way through this. It was absolutely wonderfully funny. The Acting is great and the story magical. Both leads are superb. Every character was well though out. I loved her Martial Arts and his Grumpiness. This drama was a Joy to watch. I am sorry that it is over. Unexpected twist at the end after such a warm and happy story. I hope this one moves to other platforms so it can be enjoyed by heaps more people. I loved it and will watch it again. Loved the relationship that built up between the two main leads. The younger brother deserved a good smacking.

Definitely a mismatch couple with stupid ending but watchable

The onscreen chemistry of the main CP is not bad, and the plot is enjoyable. I believe the ML is being typed cast for the same role. He always played the cold, arrogant, and prideful CEO.

I didn’t like his brother turned out to be the bad guy at the end. It is better if it was the uncle/auntie. The supporting assistant characters are funny. The ending is stupid. It would be better if it is finished in 20 episodes. it was unnecessary to add her master character toward the last 2 episodes.

Overall is a 6.5 rating for me.

It Is Worth Watching

This to me is the best performance by Luo Zheng. I found it cute and funny and I could actually see his feelings in this performance. The chemistry was so good between him and her, the leads. I love Rain Lu. I seen several of her dramas and she give such a great performance. She is bubbly and sweet and gives sincerity to her characters. I loved this drama. Yes, their are a few cliché but the story is worth watching. It start of very funny and I really liked his grandfather telling him to take care of her. The little brother is annoying and I found him to obsess with the older brother. I loved the cousin who cares for his siblings and goes against his parents on their wrong doing. Him and the lawyer made a cute couple and had lots of chemistry. I thought both couples made a great match for each other in this drama and made the story enjoyable.

Nice story for Luo Zheng's fans

I watched it for the ML=Luo Zheng ❤❤❤ and Rain Lu (FL) which I like too.

Plot: Encounter (favored by the grandfather) between 1 FL "from the mountains", rustic and martial arts expert, and 1 ML CEO (cold with traumas) who hires her in his Company.
The twists are well brought and the story is served by talented actors (even if the somewhat naive character of the FL is a bit annoying, especially in the 1st half). The realization is dynamic, without length.

BUT :
- actors who play professional swimmers don't have the build :) :)
- somewhat simplistic economic context.
- FL2 unbearable (spoiled heiress, OK, but still)...
- psychopathic brother (unnecessary story arc)
- return of the master (wacky)
etc.
Anyway, at some point the screenwriter lost track...

=> Nice, short enough, but not memorable.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ohmigawd I just love this series

It is a very light and not long series. But the story is very nice, light hearted, amusing and lots of adorable parts. It's definitely my first time watching a series of Rain Lu (main or support) but I have watched various series of Luo Zheng. I have to say, these 2 together really make an adorable couple, especially the cute tantrums and the flustered ways of Luo Zheng when jealousy hits. The psychotic of the Male Lead's younger brother is also abit freaky, but no big harm. Overall, it is indeed a wonderful series to watch

I would recommend this show to be watched, if you are looking for a light, funny and a little bit of romance series. And, if you love it..... you can binge it the 2nd 3rd n etc times <3

The music is also very nicely paired and some of the songs are catchy (for me). Great work to the entire cast for this series!

Utterly Disappointing

I'll admit it. I watched this drama solely for Luo Zheng. I've seen the FL in other dramas and was seriously underwhelmed with her acting. Her character was extremely irritating. Obnoxious, classless, clueless... just to name a few critiques of her character's personality. I found myself hoping the ML would choose one of the three ninnies who worked in his office over the FL. Sorry Rain Lu, I will be avoiding any future dramas you're in. She didn't every try to hide her distaste in the kissing scenes - which spoils the romance factor that many viewers come to see in these dramas. Besides, who in their right mind wouldn't want to kiss Luo Zheng in a movie!?

The second couple saved the show for me - Lin Yan Rou & Darrien Zhang - I liked them a lot and fast-forwarded through almost all of the scenes with the FL just to watch the second lead couple. Not even Luo Zheng could save this one for me. In fact, the only reason it even got a 5 was Lin Yan Rou, Darrien Zhang, & Luo Zheng.

Low to no chance of rewatch.
