Very positive comedy romance drama
With this 2, ML and FL , I think there's no more complaint since Joseph and Liang build good chemistry from "time flies" before. Many drama bought so much conflict but this one prefer good comedy and relaxing. Love all the time when ML and FL at Taohua village relationship.
After watch this drama, I feel really positive because so much drama which Chinese, or Korean make, are not real enough compare to Hi venus.
An easy going, with attractive comedy from JZ much much better than cooler one from other chinese drama. So, this much watch drama and rewatch too.

Life is more beautiful if one knows how to communicate
Another drama where the leads are very open towards each other. The drama may feel boring because there's no big problems arise between the leads. But I think that's not the point. Those problems didn't come up because the leads tend to be transparent with e/o and are willing to share their thoughts and doubts with e/o. So they can find the solution together without hiding the problem from the other. The ML is beyond clever. It's not that he's too OP or perfect, it's just common sense. Someone was born from a well-off family, received proper education and even went to study abroad. His parents also raised him well. Ofc it's logical if he can be sensible, clever, silver-tongued and have a good personality. He isn't a typical CEO who is arrogant, cold and unfeeling towards his subordinates. He treated the people around him fairly.
And the dilemma between the FL and ML is written nicely. They can portray a relationship between someone from a decent family and someone from an ordinary family. Their relationship is realtistic.
All in all, if you want to watch something that isn't too stressful and just want to look at people having sweet romantic relationship, I highly highly highly recommend you this drama. Again, the plot is beautifully written.

A CEO x secretary drama you don't have to guilty watching
A hot young CEO who's not toxic? I'm here for it!Several good things about this drama:
-rational, flawed FL with plenty of good points
-emotionally intelligent ML
-great side CP that I was also invested in
-unique sound effects/music: it was a bit of a shock at first, but it fits the scenes well
-healthy relationship with conflict and mature resolutions
-overall is realistic but the realism doesn't take away any sweetness from the story
Bad things:
-plot kinda feels uninteresting in the last few episodes, though it is understandable
-that's it ( all i can think of rn).
This is a sweet, very bingeable drama that I would recommend to literally anyone. I loved the interactions between the main CP and the side CP (CP means couple).
Side note: the drama starts in a village, but moves to the city within 2 episodes and becomes an office drama

Just Amazing Drama
Joseph Zeng has not disappointed me yet in any of his drama. This drama is great, one of the best this year. The chemistry Joseph Zeng bring with the lead female character is amazing. The way the story brings them together and starts the romance between each other. The drama has so much romance, mystery and twist and turns. It is a drama that kept me on my toes waiting for each episodes. The drama has a great story and the direction was magnificent. From the start the drama grabs you from the first episode and keep you hanging with a smile on your face with the romance between the leads. Great drama. Was this review helpful to you?
A decent RomCom but it moved a little bit slow and repetitive dialogues
"Hi Venus" is a RomCom drama about an encounter between a Pediatrician and a hospital president where they end up liking each other. This is my 7th drama with Liang Jie, and I adore her. I loved her in "You Are My Destiny," "Mr. Honesty," "The Day of Becoming You," "Side Story of Fox Volant," and now this drama. She is a good actress with a good range.
This is my 3rd drama with Joseph Zeng, and This one is the best of his acting, whereas the other two were costume dramas that I ended up dropping (Rebirth For You and Heroes.) I think he is not a good actor compared to Liang Jie.
Their onscreen chemistry is okay in this drama, and I like the 2nd CP as well. Overall, I am giving it a 7.5 rating. There were too many repetitive dialogues about the progression of their relationship.

Wholesome apple pie
OK it’s no secret that I’m not fond of romcoms, but this one is good enough to win me over. (Thanks to Zogitt for the recommend.)There are absolutely no surprises and it follows the tropes and clichés to the letter. You can tick them off as they come up: random football, pretend boyfriend, mistaken identity, accidental kiss etc, etc… But that doesn’t really matter with this one because the courtship is so sweetly done, with lashings of delightful flirtatious banter.
It’s full of gentle humour and is such an easy watch to chill out to. No adrenaline rushes or cringeworthy moments, no whiny manipulation or cold arrogance—just wholesome apple pie. The two leads pull it off admirably as two people finding their way to being together as they bump over the minor speed humps placed in their way. They did the psychology right for the FL which led to some beautifully touching exchanges between the lovers.
The secondary couple are a little more stilted and less easy to ship, but engaging enough. Though I’m wondering if their scenes might have been written by an assistant writer as they have more of a pedestrian quality to them.
Basically, the script is a 12 step instructional program on how to negotiate a relationship like a grown-up. And I’m being literal here, there is quite an educational tone to it and after we’ve done the obligatory PP, it does get a bit medical education for the masses and lost me somewhat in the process. But it’s way more palatable than its companion drama, “Meet Yourself” which is basically a glacial-pace (fictional) docusoap, whitewashed nicely.
Unfortunately, about three quarters of the way through it runs out of plot and the problems get solved in the background, which was pretty unsatisfying. The script lost its edge and became very ordinary and the pace really dropped off as it bumbled along to the end.
The opening titles tell you everything you need to know about the story in bite size, so if you don’t like what you see in the first one and a half minutes, then you can duck out without wasting any more time.
Be warned, the soundtrack is not just bad, it’s abysmal. There’s an inexplicable cocktail of operatic arias, from Traviata (drinking song) through to Carmen (habanera) that don’t seem to have any relevance to the action they accompany (with a splash of Beethoven and Mozart thrown in for good measure) or, you can suffer some unbelievably naff lyrics (maybe something got lost in translation) set to hotel lobby style arrangements. And my taste in clothing is just a tad different to the ML, who gets totally swoony over an absolute shocker of a dress worn by the FL and as for her shoes, well they were just plain ugly. I suppose there’s no accounting for taste.
What my rating means: 7+ A watchable drama, but nothing exceptional. Good enough to qualify for the race, but finished with the pack. The sort of thing that promises more than it delivers.

I'm glad I stuck with it!
It was a rocky start for me. Four things almost made me give up early on.1) Joseph Zeng in the lead as Lu Zhao Yi - I wasn't too sure. He seemed inordinately young, not only to tackle the part of the male lead, but he's supposedly the company president? I put aside my pre-conceived notions and settled in and he was absolutely one of the high points of the show.
2) Liang Jie as FL Ye Shi Lan - I found her character to be very unlikeable at the beginning. Cold, hard - thankfully that didn't last long.
3) She's a pediatrician but she works as his assistant?! Wow, I SERIOUSLY had to suspend disbelief here.
4) Typical Chinese slow-moving script. I felt that it struggled to find its footing in the beginning, but once the two leads started interacting, all was forgiven.
However, once I got involved with these characters (and the script, for the most part), I was in love. And there were SO many reasons why:
1) The main couple was just so darn cute. Really, I really appreciated the script writers here, in that they showed a natural relationship progression. We got the initial misunderstanding (which was taken care of quickly), which was followed by being able to watch them become friends, and then more. I really appreciated that we knew they liked each other before they did, that made it even more fun. There was a lot of heart and a lot of humor with these two. I felt that their chemistry was realistic and amazing. Good kisses and not a lot of push and pull between the two.
2) Zhou Zi Han as Kevin and Li Lin Fei as Yao Jia Jia - as friends of the main couple they were supportive and likeable. But once they got involved with one another? Oh my gosh, I loved their screen time as well. Even though his facial expression never changed much, you could feel his emotions. He had a kind of secret hobby that brought him into her sphere, thankfully. And her? She was the sweetest, most supportive friend, and she was just precious, with her cute hairstyles and that beautiful smile. I loved watching these two get to know each other, again developing a friendship first, before moving forward.
3) I smiled through most of this. It was very low angst, which I always appreciate.
There were just as many things that this show DIDN'T have which made me like it:
1) No evil ex-girlfriend trying to get back with him.
2) No evil parents trying to break them up.
3) No constant making up/breaking up/misunderstandings. Let's be honest, most romances have a certain amount of buildup, but then they spend more time apart than together. Not here. There was only one "fake" break up, and it kind of made sense and didn't go on forever.
4) No time jumps.
So, I'd say, if you want a feel-good show, with two healthy relationships and a lot of heart, you really should try this one.

I didn't like how they made the FL become MLs secretary when her field is pediatrics. It was such a weird decision. Like, i know it all worked out but it just didn't sit right with me. Also, couldn't stand that the FL didn't stand up for herself more at work but it was also understandable given she didn't want to burn bridges with her superiors - I get it but it wasn't any less frustrating to see her be insulted or humiliated.
Overall, it was a really funny and sweet romance with an ok story

A mature, non-trauma filled love story
This was such a refreshing change from the crazy plots of some C- dramas. You know the type I'm talking about: the palace dramas with crazy harem intrigue, toxic MLs who treat the FL like garbage and she just takes it, etc. I just wanted to watch a nice and easy modern drama with sincere and likable MCs. This series fits the bill to a T. And I really enjoyed the secondary couple too. They were so cute.If you can get past the mean behaviour of the FL in the first couple of episodes, this one was a really great mature romance. The only reason I didn't give it more than 9 stars was that it was a little slow paced and the English lyrics for the them song was sappy and kind of cringe-y. I hardly ever rewatch any dramas, so don't let that part of the rating system deter you from giving this a try. It was wonderful.

I liked that they featured a CEO/president ML who was not domineering. His character was written to be genuinely good with his biggest weakness being the occasional childish behavior. Actor’s soft baby face completely matched his character as well.
I liked the female lead’s back story, you could understand why she acted the way she did. And how the two of them were such a good match.
Watch this with knowing it won’t be anything groundbreaking or life changing, but rather if you need something warm and lovely to unwind to.

A Decent Watch
If you are wondering if this show is worth watching, you can definitely give it a go. It is not a must watch but still good enough. The first couple of episodes were a little meh and I thought maybe I should drop it but I am glad I stuck around. The show gets better after that and picks up the pace. The story line is good. OST is good but forgettable. ML and FL are good at acting. It is better than your average Chinese show in the sense that the FL is not dumb and annoying (if you look past the first 2-3 episodes).
Their relationship progression is organic and doesn't feel rushed. Also, the show didn't take itself too seriously by calling out on a lot of cliche tropes. Though I did watch a lot of it at 1.5x speed(which I do with most of the series), I still liked it enough to watch it all the way through.

Light, fluffy… & boring ;)
Not a 10/10 for me. Yes the love relationship was very healthy and matured… too perfect imo lol.So the ML and FL leads meet by chance in a remote village- she was working there as a doctor, he was stranded without a car in heavy rain. She thinks he is a swindler trying to sell fake medicinal wine and makes him do all sorts of menial work around the centre- taking care of farm animals etc… not knowing that he is the new president of the hospital she works for!
It started off quirky - I liked the idea and plot of the misunderstood character, however I found the FL in these few episodes rather annoying. Later on when they return to the city/ hospital, it gets better. The romance development was somewhat lacking the tza tza tzing/ butterflies in stomach kind of chemistry. Seems rather mediocre and calm… quite dull at times. And I skipped most of the scenes with the FL and her best friend.
There were too many life philosophies and “lessons” to learn and live by, too many monologues and just not enough… excitement haha. Oh well, I guess this one was just not for me.
