An omnibus special comprised of five segments: >> Story 1: "News Ojisan" (ニュースおじさん) Mutsumi, a housewife, notices in the news broadcasts an old man who is always in the camera shot at events like accidents. She worries and tells her husband but he is not interested. One day, Mutsumi meets that old man on a drive with her husband. ~~ Adapted from the novel "News Ojisan" (ニュースおじさん) by Oba Waku 大場惑). >> Story 2: "Virtual Reality" (バーチャル・リアリティ) A man participates in a virtual reality experiment. After multiple experiments, he gets used to the virtual reality and when awoken he notices this real world also doesn't look normal. >> Story 3: "Senso wa Nakatta" (戦争はなかった) A manager in a bank has experienced the Pacific War. He gets drunk with his friends to complain about the war but his friends tell him ''There is no war''. The next morning he finds he can't find any traces of the war having happened and everyone denies its existence. ~~ Adapted from the novel "Senso wa Nakatta" (戦争はなかった) by Komatsu Sakyo (小松左京). >> Story 4: "Akazu no Fumikiri" (開かずの踏切) A man is touring a country road, he encounters a railroad crossing with a barrier. No matter how long he waits, there is no sign that the train will pass by. He gives up but every road he takes leads him back to the railroad crossing. A young woman, an old man, and a child wearing a baseball uniform appear, and say: "The railroad crossing will not open." He eventually wants to give up but a woman across the railroad calls his name. >> Story 5: "40 Nen" (40年) Letters written 40 years ago will be distributed at the alumni association, but one letter from an unknown male student remains. An elderly woman decides to involve herself. Edit Translation
