As someone once said, the reason there aren’t films about writers is because there would be nothing to see. Who would want to watch someone sit at the desk and move his fingers all night? Yet Poets’ Window captures precisely that without adding anything artificial. We see writers at work, but we don’t know what they are writing or what problems they are facing. They move around and contemplate to create something, as sunlight and shades, wind and rain, falling leaves and insects, and the light and shadow of the waters of Jucheon River tenderly seep into their surroundings.
