Kind of strange show but i cant say i didnt like it
My guilty pleasure are romantic korean dramas so my im usually satisfied if the show has two young people preferably male and female who fall in love and it doesnt have to have super cool story soundtrack or whatever. It was satisfying but....This show is unusual because the FL is strong independent woman who hate when anyone implies that she (or any other woman) are weaker just because they are woman. Im ok with that. The thing is that screen writers little overshoot the "power" of FL cause it seemed like she was awesome and literally BEST at everything and she was almost flawless. I know what message the screenwriter wanted to send but it was little bit weird, i dont know how to describe it. Like... does FL really need to fight 1v8 thugs and throw bumerangs and hit blindfolded bullseye to show strong character?
Another issue i have is with the story. Well i dont know if there was any story - there was a girl and a guy and they were just doing their stuff and stuff kept happening without kinda randomly. I didnt feel like there was anything important going on because all the story arcs were cut kinda soon without any deeper meaning. Also backstories of main leads were little bit shallow and what happend in the past was actually nothing really bad or traumatic so it wasnt really believable that their personalities shaped like that just because of what happend...
Even though i liked it, throughout the whole show i had that feeling that nothing is really natural and believable and eveything was kindof fabricated to... i dont even know to what. I feel like it was missing some strong message cause the obvious message the show was trying to send was weirdly served.
But neverthless im not hard to please viewer and even despite all of this i liked it. FL were beautiful, tough and cute at the same time and ML was actually pretty nice gentle guy so it wasnt really hard to watch (and there were little crying and thats a huge win to me cause i really dont enjoy the overflow of tears in kdramas)

Good Enough
Korean Drama " Love To Hate You " is a light romantic comedy, that relies heavily on the comedy side of the story.First of all, the characters, especially the main ones, were interesting to follow. The female lead was energetic and feisty and she dominated the scene every time she appeared. Her chemistry with the male lead was, moreover, was spot on, and their sweet, romantic scenes enjoyable to watch.
The romance, in addition, was smoothly paced, using the main characters' banter to push the story forward and to make things more entertaining. The comedy part of the drama also aided with the love story and gave some breathing space for the main story.
The side couple, on the other hand, was enjoyable, but overshadowed by the main one.
Finally, the performances were all great by everyone in the cast.
So, overall, eight out of ten.

Best Kdrama in 2023. Why this is so underrated?
I never took time to review a Kdrama. So this is my first time writing one. This means, this drama is one of the best kdrama I watched this 2023. So if you ever read this, you better start search this drama and binge watch it! Chaebal!!!This drama deserve a hype. From casting to plot to OST. Its all thumbs up! This is the first time I ever wish to have more episode, I dont want this drama to end and most of all, I wish there more incoming dramas like this.
The one thing I was hooked, makes my heart flutter and more fell in love was the chemistry of the main leads, the abs was a bonus haha. They really have a good chemistry, like they are made with each other.
No boring episodes. There is no episode thay you cant laugh out loud. If you want to forget your problems and want to have a good laugh. This drama is for you. Ive been depressed this sem break becuase my acads and this drama makes me forget my depression. This drama is a best escape from stessors.

Hilarious and delightful
The enemies to lovers plot is nothing new, but, the show makes it hilariously entertaining. What I love about it is that the writers manage to create comedic characters without turning them into infantile nincompoops. Mi Ran and Kang Ho are very well matched in terms of intelligence and assertiveness. She sees through his fake charm and he appreciates her assertiveness. The show is very well rounded in terms of pacing and storytelling. Because it has only 10 episodes, there are no boring story arcs and the plot moves at a very good speed. I also appreciate that the writers don't unnecessarily drag out plotlines and resolve any misunderstanding fairly quickly. The rest of the drama is focused on the main leads' explosive chemistry. He loves her not because she is a cute, but because she is brave and not afraid to put her well being on the line to save other people. By getting to know each other, they lose some of their cynicism and realize that there are good people in the world. Not all women are opportunists, and, not all men are cheaters. Kim Ok Bin impressed me in "Arthdal Chronicles". Here, she shows her versatility in a comedic role. And, I absolutely love Kim Ji Hoon. He can be a convincing psycho serial killer and a romantic character. We need to see more of him in main roles.
The final episode gets a little bit convoluted. The writers decide to throw a last minute curve ball for the sake of tension. I don't think it was necessary to expose Mi Ran's serial dating life style and to create drama between the main leads. It felt very forced and unnecessary compared to the drama's otherwise very fluid storytelling.
Overall, the drama is very enjoyable. All the characters are likable and the romance is very satisfying.

Not A Pretend Relationship
Planning to watch this as past time but I enjoyed it a lot.I thought it was a typical pretend relationship full of cliches where they eventually fall in love. I mean I like how they portrayed her as a woman of her beliefs, I relate to her a lot, and I also like how them being together changed some of her perspective, I mean this is one of the best drama that opens up how women is looked on our society today. Tho Kang Ho is a typical ML, I love his character too, actually he’s one step ahead of them XD he’s charming and so gentle… I guess trauma made his a little bit less likable but he’s a green flag for me.
I have no say in acting, everyone portrayed their role mannerly. I really hope they saved her from her funny scenes lol but probably for the sake of comedy lol
All in all highly recommended, its a balanced of romance and comedy without losing the sentiments of the story. I watched it in just a day, and I would say who needs more episodes when 10 is enough to enjoy everything.
xx

Do Bong Soon meets Let me Be Your Knight Light...
Love to hate you or more of a: The other sex (within the gender binary) is bad prove me wrong. Kind of deal as we meet the lawyer who hates the patriarchy more than anything else in the world and the actor who lost faith in women. In a series of slight misunderstandings. Who go from you are pure evil to a whole lot of "you are not like other women"...Our lawyer is as bad ass as it gets, she is smart, she is strong, she fights for justice by playing the game and pleasuring her body. unapologetically but also pretty much taking the route of toxic masculinity.. if they can do it why shouldn't I instead of just going her own way... I still love her but I do think this could have been done better if they broke the conventions instead of just reversing them. That said there are a whole lot of good lines in here.
Our actors character is a bit more nuanced and is not a gender reversal. He is more of the good guy type (once they clear up stuff), not to strong, not to week, a guy who can not only handle a strong woman but love her for ell her qwerks without needing to save her or want to change her.
The Actors best friend is HOT (it is part of the plot), comfortable with his sexuality. All round human... Easy for all to fall in love with... Making me want to see him in a hate to love romance... maybe with a bit of mystery...
There is also a really cool slightly older actress who pretty much stole the show as well.. And the rest of the characters are ok, not great, not bad, just ok. They do their job well and fill their functions as they should.
The drama is highly bingeable (an afternoon and a morning was all it took), there are also a bunch of fun cliches and you may want to pay attention to the details as nothing is there by accident, as even the show watched on tv may give you a heads up about what is about to happen. Or at least ads some spice.
While the start is a bit meeh, and I fell for the leads best friends before I fell for the leads, the plot does get better and better as the very much cliche plot unfolds. So if you like watching clices and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon (without the super powers, low humour and crime) meets Let Me Be Your Knight but with less chemistry (there of the score 8,5 and not 10) this is a good place to find it.

Rom-coms revived finally ??
A new classic standard for rom com in 2023 for me!To be honest, I was never gonna watch it…hasn’t not been recommended by a friend! I was giving up on kdrama romcom …So glad I watched it!
The FL mi ran is authentic, lovable, funny and not just a weak damsel (a bit of a stretch on some things, but it’s a rom com guys… )
The ML was also a surprise!
I loved the script and storyline, the vibe of the show is fresh, light and funny! It was so enjoyable, the title ‘love to hate you’ is spot on, without being too cringe
For sure you’ll find some cringy moments but they are often accompanied by awesome funny awkwardness/ reactions of the characters! I’d love to see a sequel but the ending was also satisfying!
The short number of episode doesn’t take away the enjoyment and I kinda liked the lack of unnecessary plot fillers :) … although there are a few.
I mainly loved the unapologetic attitude of the main characters and their self confidence ! mi ran is one of my favourite FL characters I ever seen ( and I’ve seen a lot, where most of them, full of potential… ‘reduced’ to damsel in distress in the end)

If you want a fun
I didn't think that I was going to download it. I saw a comment in insta that one was said. It's very beautiful and it's a pity that the part was missing. I downloaded it because of that comment. It really stuck with me considering that I haven't seen a comic series in a long time. It had stereotypes to a reasonable extent and broke stereotypes in many places. The fact that the main role of the woman in the story was so self made and did not want to be dominated by a man made the story much more interesting.
Honestly, I didn't like the second couple... I think they are very clingy. It was the first series that I saw from U Teo, He played really well. That means, according to me, you carry the romantic beauty of the series. He used to say everything with so much feeling that he made you unconscious.
All in all, the series is beautiful and the episodes are few. So, if you want a fun call, watch it

Romcom of the Year
Love To Hate You (2023)Like
1. Finally a straight up romcom without murders or fantasy elements!! I wasnt planning on watching this until i saw the preview. Enemies to lovers? Top star and lawyer? Sassy lady vs Cool guy? Count me in!
2. I love Miran. She's feisty, assertive and can beat the guys in any game or fights. No wonder Kangho was so impressed at this "unusual" woman. He doesnt get to meet a lot of them in his work. I love the maturity of their relationship even the dates and bed scenes looked more age appropriate and natural.
3. I also like Kangho he looks cold but is actually playful and romantic when he finally got past his trauma. His bromance with his bestie was so funny and cute. I wouldnt have minded if they ended up together!
4. Probably this drama takes a jab at actors and actresses who look like they are friends in public but actually hates their guts in private. And all the insider rumors that go around the industry. Again, fans and netizens should also stop obsessing on their faves and let them live their own lives. Im imagining Lee Seunggi as I watched this show and how awful fans have been to him because of his upcoming wedding.
5. The ending although is not bad is also not especially fantastic. But it also feels like it's more realistic.
Dislikes
1. The second leads are cute but I wasnt as charmed by their story like the leads.
2. Sometimes the vocalizing background music didnt fit the scene.
Rating: 8.5/10

Entertaining and easy-watch
I came to this drama with zero expectations and I was pleasantly surprised. It's entertaining, it's an easy watch and it's more mature than other shows I've seen recently and I very much welcome it.It's not one of those overly cheesy, love-explosion dramas, so if you're looking for something like that this is not it. The relationship here grows step by step, flowing from dislike to tolerating one another to friends to love.
FL is a strong character, so if you prefer delicate/weak female characters then this drama will not be for you.
There are a few things I found to be a bit lacking but I understand because of its run time. I think overall the length was good and if it had been longer it would have dragged way too much story wise. The start felt a bit not so interesting to me but then it picked up. Last two episodes are a bit dragged and unnecessary in a way, and it's clear they're there to create the final drama.
Characters are good and more typical of romcom, so not a lot of nuances are presented in them, it's kept light.
I don't think this drama was presented as a "all men are bad, all women are good" at all, there were plenty of good men in the show apart from the main two leads, even the FL's ex was not presented as a complete jerk despite of cheating and they remain friends throughout the drama. Except for maybe a couple of comments all coworkers at the firm were also nice and welcoming.
FL has flaws and they're presented in the drama, FL's friend had also flaws and in fact she was a bit tiring with her back and forth when it came to the second ML. The first girlfriend of ML also had many flaws as did the actress FL represented legally. People be seeing a strong FL and already give a tag and run with it...
I liked the relationship of the two ML in the beginning, very healthy bromance, and I kind of wanted more of that, it was cute, but it was soon put to the side.
I did think second ML had more charisma and more depth in his character than the ML, I find this tends to happen in this type of romcoms, they want ML to be perfect so they give more realism and nuance to the friend, what is a shame.
A couple of things that irked me a bit were that the turning point of the show is a gay scandal (I get it, it's Korea afterall, but...) and the trope of "you're not like other men/women".
That being said, I have to applaud this drama for tackling a bit certain aspects of patriarchy and abuse in a country where sexism, gender inequality and domestic violence are high. Sure, it could be better, and it could be sooooo much more in-depth, but considering they're walking a fine line and that it's not the main plot of the drama, it's still commendable.
I think the ML and FL were a good fit together. Not so much the second couple, but mostly because of the way they decided to portray that relationship than the characters themselves. Do Won Joon didn't seem that much into Shin Na Eun, and she was into him but the way of showing it was anticlimactic and a bit of a mess.
Overall I would recommend, it's easy watchable, not long and it's entertaining.

Kim Ok Vin and Teo Yoo are the real bad-ass!!
Love to Hate You is a new romantic comedy that I strongly recommend you all to watch it as soon as possible. It has 10 episodes only and for your all information, I finished watching it in just one day.For the record, I have been watching so many romantic comedy series and I absolutely enjoyed this one from the first episode. What I love the most about the series is the bad-ass female lead and the fast-paced dialogue and scenes.
I guess I don't need to talk about the chemistry between the main leads, why? It is simply because I haven't seen anything that as natural as their romantic scenes in any other Korean dramas. Mostly when the main leads in other dramas have a romantic scene, they tend to have it forced. But Love to Hate You is a different case. The main leads (Kim Ok Vin and Teo Yoo) had successfully made me ask for more. Their visuals and body language in the series are undeniably gorgeous.
In addition, this series is Teo Yoo's first romantic comedy and he portrayed his character satisfactorily. Pairing him with Kim Ok Vin is a very perfect choice. They definitely complete each other. Too bad this series has very short episodes, if only it had 16 episodes like normal episodes of Korean series, I believe it would have been a big hit. But, I'm still glad I found these two gems.
