Mixed feelings
Let me start off by saying this was a fantastic story and there were so many things I loved about it. But it really did drag on with a lot of repetition for a 14 episode series. The main reason I'm torn is because I loved how there wasn't any unnecessary drama (love rivals, jealous ex's, homophobia, misunderstandings, etc). But when a show doesn't have any of those components, I can see how it could feel slow and uneventful. There were so many episodes where I felt like there was little to no progression in the storyline. The first half while they were in high school, it was basically Eiw pining for Cake while Cake was oblivious. Then the second half was Cake being jealous of anyone who comes near Eiw and Eiw being oblivious.
There were so many great moments during the "slow parts" though which had me feeling all the feels. Like, Eiw's realization of how he loves Cake more than a friend/brother and his struggle to accept himself, thinking he's abnormal. Then all the moments between the siblings were so heartwarming, especially in the last couple of episodes. I feel like all the relationships in the series, whether they were romantic, family or friends, were really well portrayed and developed, especially with the lack of "exciting drama."
Santa really blew me away in this series. I was surprised to find out how young he really is after watching this. He really conveyed every thought and emotion so well and it was hard to look at anyone else whenever he was on screen. I love Earth and have liked everything I've seen him in so far though I feel like he tends to play the same type of character every time. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing but I would just hate for him to get type-cast because I believe he's more capable than that.
Overall, this was an enjoyable watch and, while I may not keep it in the constant rotation, I could see watching it again at some point in the future and I'm glad I gave it a chance.

A Solid and Well Acted Series
Undoubtedly, this is a solid and well acted series of a longitudinal love story. It is the screenplay that let this story fall apart a bit. Some of the finest 'parting' scenes from any BL is in this series. Also some of the most intense emotional scenes are in this series as well. But they got a bit over used, however. This was a good series but I wanted it to be great. It just never got there? Why? Well, for me it was the lack of maturity in the development of their relationship as well as the lack of a series intensity to it. These guys were soulmates; I wanted to feel that, sense that, and see that. It got close but never reached a pinnacle for me. However, it is still a very enjoyable series. You can read my full review of this series at BLBliss.com.

Enjoyable but still disappointing
I'm so confused!! I usually love a good slice of life and I did enjoy this drama but only from around like episode 7 or something. The first part for me was just so boring that I almost dropped the whole thing. The one thing that kept me going was the chemistry between the leads that I think was so good. The first part was pretty much a compilation of silly little random moments. So much so I wondered if there was an actual plot. It felt like I was being shown things I didn't wanna see and not beeing shown the things I did wanna see. Kind of like the wrong offscreen or the wrong onscreen. Imo the editing was poorly done and instead of 14 long episodes a solid 8 or 10 episodes would've been better suited.
Also with all the unnecessary scenes from the first half It would've been nice seeing more of Cake's POV cause we only got to see Seeiw's which to me was a downside. For example the most basic question which is "When did Cake realize his feelings for Seeiw?" was left unanswered. I kept wandering till the end how Cake went from being heartbroken over his breakup to being in love with his childhood best friend. Would've been nice to know.
All in all I guess it's a pretty decent series although it didn't exactly deliver as promised. It wasn't the best but it was still enjoyable.

IMPRESSIVE! BEWARE OF THE GRAMMAR HAHAH...
Okay so I am writing this review because there is a lot of Earth's hater out there been giving negative feedbacks to this masterpiece. Earth never disappoint me when it comes to his acting capabilities I'd love to see him participate in a comedy genre series or sitcom tho cause we've seen him a lot of time in any series that is a heavy drama that requires to cry a lot started off UWMA to My only 12 percent. But no one can deny that the way he cried will make you cry as well especially in this series I cried a bucket!!! Hands down to Santa as well the walking Green flag and him being protective to Eiw which is his boyfriend is completely normal I don't see any problem with that. For those whose looking for a heavy drama and school fiction this will be the best fit for you, do not expect see some scene where you can laugh your ass off because this one barely have that BUT it will fill you with the sweetness of friendship. At first I didn't expect to keep watching the series til the end because of same bl friends to lover troupe however after finishing it this might be the BEST among the BEST friends to lover troupe in the BL industry for me from tens( if not hundreds) of BL I've watched.

It is a masterpiece.
I've seen no BL drama like this one. I've never felt so attached to any character but in this series i loved the relationship between the main cast. I could feel their friendship, their love, their heartbreak and all other emotions. It was a rollercoaster of emotions for me. I've already watched it twice and i still am in love with this💖..
I am looking forward for second season ✌🏻

Beautiful and believable slice of life
Personally, I loved it, I cried, I laughed, I smiled, I felt pain, I felt sadness, I felt happy and I felt butterflies. Thank you to everyone involved in this production, a definite must see. I really enjoyed the dynamic between all the characters. The chemistry, the romance and the friendship was impeccable to watch. Some of the things I did not like:
Similar to a lot of reviewers, I am ready for Earth to choose a role that won’t make him cry, I know it could be that such characters are his comfort zones, but a much happier and strong role would be appreciated. I felt the coming out story was handled with care but at the same time I questioned if the sister showed him the movie on purpose. I didn’t see the point of the cancer, and the ending felt rushed like they were trying to include too many stories in to one (the death, the father, all the new blossoming relationships, new work, etc.).

It's not that bad
As I am writing this, I have watched this series for the 2nd time. Right from the start, My Only 12% gave off an I Told Sunset About You vibes, the only difference is this one is much lighter and fluffier than ITSAY. I like the cinematography, the acting esp. of Santa's knowing that he's like a newbie. He's very natural when it comes to teasing. Earth was also good. Basically, everyone did a good job with their roles. What I don't like is Cake's character development. At first, he was the greenest flag of all while Eiw was the red-ish flag (not really but some). But after returning from America, Cake has totally transformed into the reddest flag. The goal for Eiw was achieved but not for Cake. Why did they do that to Cake's character? It was sad to see Cake turn out like that. Also, it could have been a different conflict at the end, why would they kill her mom and add more drama. In my opinion, it wasn't necessary to have someone die to reach enlightenment and what.
Additionally, the entire series pretty much have sleeping scenes. Almost, if not all, episodes have them sleeping in their room. It's tiring to see them sleeping and waking up. The first episodes, I get it as ut establishes the characters, the habit of cuddling, as their comfort and solace. But it was getting tiring to see the repetitive conflict for a 14-episode series. The music was not too bad, but it wasn't memorable.
Again, I am writing this and I have watched this for the 2nd time so , rewatch value is an 8.

I love the series how it goes ❣️
Hiii......i will share my reviews.at first i didn't have interest in watching this series i didn't know why but I m glad that I have watched this series. This series is one of the best BL series i have ever watched.it has everything that is needed including the perfect story ,perfect cast. And i like both the lead i.e cake and eiw....but I personally have more love towards cake.❣️....The way the cake care for eiw is just soooooo ........ I don't have the words for that😅.not only the main leads but all the supporting actors and actress are perfect for their role and character..Some of the most best scenes for me were:-
1."when cake tells ta(his friend) that eiw is really close to him and eiw is like mirror version or another half of himself(cake)."
2."the emotional bonding between eiw and his siblings (hom and pao)."
3."the scene in which eiw start to accept his identity and his love for cake. And telling his feelings for cake to hom(sister)."
4."I kinda like peak and hom.....as I ship for them to but the scene was really directed and written well because it shows the reality...however we say that we don't care about society ...u should love urself etc...but in the end the society reall influences us and we began to find way to fit in the society even if we are not comfortable."
5."i like cake because he always apologize to eiw ...😊
And there are many more scenes that I love.....
Atlast the series is so lovely everyone should give it a try ....i hope the review doesn't hurt anyone...if it hurts any one....then I m so sorry ...it was not intentionally ......This review is just based on the basis of how I see the series from my vision....Babye everyone❤️

A Slow Burn Done Right
This is not a perfect show, but it gets a lot more right then it gets wrong.Firstly, the acting is top tier. There is not a weak link in this cast. Santa and Earth have palpable chemistry, and you really believe that they've been friends for their entire life. This is important because their natural chemistry is the driving force of what makes this show so compelling.
What I appreciate about this criminally underrated show is the quiet moments. This story really just lets the characters breathe and dwell in their feelings. And when it works, it works. I think the entire arc of Eiw coming to terms with his crush on his best friend, and then by extension with his sexuality, might be the best coming of age stuff I've seen out of a BL.
For the first time in the history of watching BL, I think what this show needed was more episodes. I like that they really dwell in their younger days. I think it's important to understand their dynamic completely before Cake leaves for America. What I wish we could've gotten was more of the time once Cake returned. I wish we could have really established how much Eiw changed and how much this bothered Cake. I wish we could have gotten a glimpse of Cake lonely and isolated in America to really sell the idea that he didn't know what he was missing until it was gone.
The only thing that fails this show is the last arc with Eiw's mom's death. The whole thing was so melodramatic and unnecessary. This story completely betrayed the subtle, nuanced story that was building before it, and it didn't give us long enough to enjoy Cake and Eiw as a romantic couple.
But for me, that one storyline did not take away from the beautiful story that unfolded before it. I love this show, and I can't wait to see what Santa and Earth do next.

❗️ FULL RECAP ❗️
Drama's time period:
[1999-2012] They use MSN Messenger + what appears to be a Nokia 6126 mobile [2006_xxxx].
As opposed to the trend with gay/Bl dramas lately, this Thai drama portrays the characters as ordinary people/teenagers without objectifying their bodies. Additionally, it doesn't seem to be primarily about making money through 'fan service' after the show ends, making it worth watching on its own.
It's a simple, yet heartwarming story.
A brotherly bond between two boys [Seeiw and Cake] who have been inseparable since birth; neighbors as well. Over time, 'Seeiw' develops romantic feelings for 'Cake', but won't reveal them. The fact that Cake travels far away with his family prevents Seeiw from having to deal with the situation until a later date.
EXTRA:
Until episode 10, their hair was normal -_- but at the end, they dyed it ugly yellowish-orange brown and ruined the visuals for me. I will never understand Thai hair-style-trend in BL! And Earth(Seeiw) wearing too much makeup/lipstick! But WHY!?! His acting also needed to be adjusted to appear more mature at university age, but as expected, he did not. Each time he(Earth) plays a role, he portrays a character that perfectly reflects his own personality in real life. That's fine, but certain aspects of the drama need to be changed for that to work.
The entire cast was well-chosen. The actor who plays Cake is exceptional. Despite being only 18, he acts much more mature than the adult(26 yrs old) portraying 'Eiw'. My hope is that he doesn't just play BL roles.
Gay/BL-averse viewers won't watch this, but it's a story I want them to view and interpret as they see fit. That's why an open ending would have made me appreciate this drama more. Instead of having the straight kid say "I will be gay for you"! It's not a damn switch in the head.

I loved the side straight couples though I never thought I would say this in a BL but yeah they made me hold on to their story even though it was so less of their screen time. The reason might be the age-gap trope.

Most wholesome serie I've ever watched
Cute, fun, wholesome. My only 12% is exactly what you need when you feel single just so you can realize how single you are.The first part of the series revolves around friendships, teenage life, loneliness and LGBT+ topics as such as accepting ourselves as "different" from others. And the way the writers go through the topic is just beautiful (and sorrowful).
The second part of the series is settled later in time, when the characters are 20-ish yo and go to the uni. This part is all about romance - and Istg I was blushing SO HARD for the most of the time.
This is so much more than a BL series - it's a journey through self discover and self-acceptance, where we feel the pain, the memories, the happiness just like it was our own life. Shout out to the main actors - they are just UNBELIEVABLE.
