Good melodrama about family and the support of siblings when they deal with life's curve balls.
Our Days is a melodrama about three sisters who experience difficulty in their careers and marriages and how they come together to support each other through difficult times. The drama starts with Bai Bai He (as an older sister), Li Chun (as a middle sister), and Wang Yu Wen (as the baby sister.) It was refreshing to see Wang Yu Wen plays a domestically abused wife, which is different from her other rom-com characters.I enjoyed the drama very much, especially the acting of the three female leads. Overall, I give it a 7.5 rating.
Synopsis: Xiang Zhi Jun has three daughters living in cities: Shanghai, Kunshan, and Suzhou. His eldest daughter, Xiang Qian, is 35 years old and has made significant progress in her career. The middle daughter, Xiang Zhong, is 31 and is actively striving to build her future. The youngest daughter, Xiang Nan, is 26, with a pure and romantic personality. The marriages of all three daughters face setbacks, leading the sisters to support and encourage each other. With their parents' guidance and advice, Xiang Zhong breaks free from her unreasonable in-laws and regains her confidence in managing her marriage. Xiang Qian sees through the hypocrisy of her husband, Gao Ping, and rediscovers her direction in both her career and life. Xiang Nan also overcomes her confusion and gains a more mature and clear understanding of marriage and herself.
My Reviews:
1. Good acting and script.
2. It is refreshing to see Wang Yu Wen in a mature and weak role.
3. The male characters in this drama are useless men. This is a good 4. lesson for women to choose the right mates; otherwise, their lives will be miserable.
5. I give it a 7.5 rating.

If you have sisters, you will understand this drama.
This drama delivers what you’d expect from a family-centered story: generational tensions, gender dynamics, and deep-seated familial ties. At its heart, it’s about the complexities of relationships, particularly through the lens of female experiences. While it successfully explores some heavy themes, including domestic and emotional abuse, the execution left much to be desired at times. The portrayal of abuse is raw and unflinching, which is both the drama’s strength and its weakness. On one hand, it sheds light on the insidious nature of emotional manipulation and the long-term impact of domestic violence. The writer deserves commendation for daring to tackle these sensitive issues with nuance. It brings much-needed awareness to topics often overlooked or glamorized in entertainment. The scenes involving the characters’ attempts to rebuild their lives or confront their abusers are particularly poignant, making you reflect on the resilience it takes to break free from cycles of harm.
However, the pervasive gaslighting throughout the show detracts from its overall impact. While it’s realistic in portraying manipulative dynamics, it becomes exhausting to watch. Scene after scene of characters denying each other’s realities and twisting the truth feels overwhelming and repetitive. Instead of deepening the narrative, it often stalls the story, frustrating the viewer. For example the middle sister is constantly gaslight by her family, no one takes her struggles with her lazy, bum of a husband seriously. No one listens to her or tries to understand her. She is the strongest sister but has the worst storyline.I would have loved to see her evolve and not get tangled up or emotionally manipulated to get back with that man. Everyone just kinds of tries to undermine her decision to divorce the husband. Don't even get me started on the mother-in-law always shouting. In the end her sisters were encouraging her not to allow her husband to slack around the house but, then why get back with a slacker.
The first sister's marriage was also kind of dead and cold. I know what that guy did was wrong but she always acted like she was in a business transaction rather than a marriage. Always doing the finances, the kids etc.
The youngest sister was portrayed as independent but so naive that you can't even reconcile those two sides of her. I do appreciate that she became friends with her sister-in-law, but she was always being expected by the sister in law to stand up to her brother on her behalf.
Despite these flaws, the drama has standout moments. The women in the story, though flawed, are complex and relatable, and their journeys toward self-empowerment are inspiring. Yet, the overuse of toxic behaviors to drive the plot diminishes the overall enjoyment.
In conclusion, this drama is a mixed experience. It deserves credit for highlighting critical issues like abuse but struggles with pacing and emotional fatigue due to its reliance on gaslighting. Watch it if you’re prepared for emotional intensity—but don’t expect an easy ride.

An easily watchable 'family' drama.
I have had a binge of older and modern family drama recently and stands at the top so far of my list, not so much that there anything extraordinary in the charecters but it was all so well done.I found most of the charecters based on reality, where people to bad things to others in an effort to fill holes in their lives, and sometimes they are not bad people just reacting to their circumstances, which I find in real life often true.
The production values are great, things like set dressing and costume, and acting are natural and realistic.
There were some of the stock family drama charecters, like the MIL, and the 'cheating husband', but it so well written and handles the pressures of modern life on men and women so well I found it relatable. It tackles the issue of domestic violence and control but somehow manages to make the whole drama an easy watch. The roles of the parents and siblings in the family, the internal family resentments, normal and relatable and how often children are often treated diffently in a family by parents, just by lack of throught, or because they are the oldest, middle or youngest.
If I jave gripe it is why do they always make the ex husbannds such selfish monsters, I know in real life many men tend to walk away from relationships, but why does every ex have to be a thoughtless manipulative demon, In this the writing of men was better than most of the c drama I have seen, and for drama you need conflict, but why so extreme? Why does the 'hero' women just have to suck it up, be nice and cope, when even the most placid of us would have been screaming in a locked bathroom.
I think of its type its solid 9

A snack with mustard for rainy days and rants
This drama had beautiful scenery in the famous water town (50km from Shanghai) a part of which is scenic ancient Zhou zhuang (village of the Zhou family). Those who have been there will recognize the ancient and modern parts of the city, which won an award for ecology in 2016 (her is some date about it : https://iwa-network.org/city/kunshan/).The family name of the three grown daughters is Xiang, but only two are blood related to the retired father and mother. Xiang Nan 向南 (played by Wang Yuwen) is an adopted survivor from a friend's family which was killed in an accident. Xiang Qian 向前 (played by Bai Baihe) is the eldest, as her name gives away, and Xiang Zhong 向中 (Li Chun) is the middle one, as her name also points to.
The title in Chinese means 'Good reunion' (Hǎo tuányuán 好团圆) and the drama is adapted from a novel the title of which translates to "The Years of the Goddess" ; it is a relatively ordinary family drama, which was included in Tencent catalogue in May 2023 with a first poster in June announcing the three FL, and authorized to shoot for 12 months starting in July 2023. It did not take that long since by December, the first trailer was released with main moments (https://weibo.com/7843789699/NxdPDkdYh) , the final trailer was released in June with English subtitles on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-C-_QaMFhM).
The cast was composed of seasoned actors and actresses ; newcomer Chang Huasen (noticed in A Journey To Love) had a brief role. Bai Baihe and Wang Yuwen stood out, as expected; the stubborn and righteous character stuck in the middle, played by Li Chun, stomped her way through the story. The male "spouse" or "boyfriend" characters were a collection of misfits or villains from start, and Deng Haiyang (played by Chen He) the sloth seemed the worst, until Gao Ping the schemer (Zhang Tao) revealed his true colors, overshadowed by the violent and controlling narcissist Yu Jinwei (Jiang Hongbin) : a cautionary tale for young naive ladies hoping for marriage. A fleeting flirt added sizzle but no future, with Wang Yuxi (Chang Huasen). The drama was so female centric that the more acceptable males : hot headed dad and ever supportive boss and godfather, friend of the sloth, seemed unable to lift the men into more desirable role models.
The OST features nice songs; one sung by Liu Yuning : 这一路 (On This Road) ; another by Curly Gao : 遇见 (Meet You) and a third one by Shi Yue/Abby : 最好的答案 (The Best Answer) The following is a video compilation of those three songs, with Hanzi, pinyin transcription and English translation on screen : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80bobz97yFM (total time 13 minutes)
The drama fell flat for Chinese audiences who were not enthralled by what they felt was too much of a hackneyed theme. It has not achieved a Douban rating, and the Chinese press did not rush to comment, was not kind, describing it as a pastime if you have time to kill, and as too reminiscent with less thrills of a reality show that aired before it.
Our Days, therefore, is only an okay drama, not groundbreaking, with some flaws (drag, fillers, plot holes if you look for those, too stereotyped "villain" men so the story may feel preachy in its "warning ladies" purpose). But it can indeed be enjoyed on WeTV as a modern aside. It is not full of annoying product placement (well, the cars and phones, of course, some children's books and toys, modern home appliances perhaps, the remote controlled curtains, .... in line with the "smart home" profession of Xiang Qian, and the many bottles of beer, a staple in c-dramas ; I was almost surprised by the absence of the elsewhere ubiquitous face masks). And the characters are pretty, if stereotyped; the sibling relationship of the sisters was rather good, if a bit idealized.
I came to watch it after Liu Yuning's mentioned it in his long livestream, where he was singing samples from the songs he sung for 5 dramas that aired almost at the same period. I watched it for Wang Yuwen, admiring also Bai Baihe, and the pleasant surprise of Chang Huasen who brought a too short spark of sizzle, enjoying the views of the canal town in Kunshan, of Suzhou a stone's throw away, and Shanghai.

A series where I lived through their Journey
I thoroughly enjoyed this series—it felt as though I was truly a part of their lives. Our Days is one of those rare shows that you just don’t want to stop watching. It invites you to simply observe as the characters live their lives, and I found myself fully immersed in their journey.I laughed when they laughed, cried when they cried, and felt deeply connected to their experiences. Watching their story unfold was both heartwarming and bittersweet, and I’m grateful to have been part of it, even as a viewer.
A heartfelt thank you to the actors and production team for bringing this beautiful series to life. It’s a masterpiece that reminds us of the joys, struggles, and hope that make life meaningful. I, too, hope that, like their days, my days will have its own happy ending.
I fully recommend this drama to anyone who wants to watch.

Modern Drama of the Year!
First off, this is the first modern Drama in months that I haven't dropped or fast forward through the episodes. This is a women centered and family drama. We see the ups and downs of women and what they go through in marriages. How it's not about just picking the right partner because they are so good at hiding there true selves until it doesn't matter. There is cheating, abuse and a hint of SA so trigger warning for those who might not like that. This show has been done before but this one was written properly. Usually I only like one character and the other fall flat but all the sisters were amazing, beautiful and strong. I also appreciated that they focused on each sister story from beginning to end before moving to the next.
The parents were also a joy to watch. They were funny, caring, smart but also flawed. Each sister chose the man they were with partly based on the treatment received from their parents in childhood. So while the parents had a beautiful relationship, it was heart wretching to see the parents so sad about their children.
There's also revenge in this show, just the right amount. None of the bad guys leave unscathed but the sisters know when to stop as far as revenge so they never lose themselves.
I also appreciate how fast pace but also enjoyable the flow and story was. You are never bored, it's hard to figure out what's going to happen next but it's also relaxing at the same time.
I need more dramas like this where the story is full and if they have multiple characters, every character is enjoyable is fully fleshed out

Esteja Preparado.
