I have no idea what is going on.
And neither do any of the characters. The actors are awkward and not at all believable. Maybe they should have been support roles for a few months/years. Ana is pretty and Fuse is cute tho. Why keep referencing Mark and Vee?
I don't mind the recast of Gun & Bar, but to be honest I absolutely ADORE Folk as an actor - he was pretty much the only reason I kept watching TOSSARA, so that makes me super sad.
Plot? What Plot?
This was just a BL for the sake of being a BL. there is no story and no realism. The love story was contrived. It had no romance or cuteness. It was so meh. 90% of the time I just wanted to fast forward through the episode. I'm at 5/6 episodes. Might as well finish the show. ??♀️??♀️

I Usually Love Rookie Thailand but...
Okay, I have finished episode 5 thinking it was the end but apparently 1 more episode has been added. But there is nothing an added episode can do to save this mess. This is by far the worse script for a BL (except 2 Moons The Ambassador and let's face that travesty should have never been made)
The story is so contrived. Ana is already crushing on Fuse before meeting him officially and then they do meet as Fuse arrives at Ana's father's dental practice for a teeth cleaning with Fuse asking if hes good looking and why he's single if he's so good looking. Ana says Fuse can hit on him and BOOM & BIG BOOM (Pun Intended) suddenly they are in love. Both suddenly feel the right to be jealous for the most mundane of reasons. They barely know one another yet all this angst ensues. It's almost farcical. The tears and jealousy is laughable.
And they have zero chemistry or the ability to build some. Like for instance 21 Days Theory laid some ground work and made it believable. X had a crush on Q and realized his time was running out to make a move so he insinuated his way into Q's life. He made Q fall for him even though Q had no idea who he was. It wasn't some instant love.
In addition I can be very petty and I admit that so when the new version of Love Mechanics came out it was not made available to an international audience but the first two episodes appeared on YouTube and that was when I saw the new Gun and Bar and immediately I said NO. They were not Folk or Win (the original Gun and Bar) they were in my opinion a poor substitute. Good Looking Yes. Decent Actors Eh, sure but for me they were not authentic to what Gun and Bar was in En of Love (TOSSARA, LOVE MECHANICS & THIS IS LOVE STORY) it was like how MAME took Love By Chance 2: A Chance To Love and changed the whole story which made no sense.
Ana and Fuse seemed like a joke the way they suddenly became boyfriends. And all that followed. Plus were Gun & Bar even needed if they were so would Vee and Mark. They were not there and definitely weren't recast.
I personally would have liked Tee and Bever to be used more as support than Gun and Bar. Tee played Ana's friend but wasnt a cohesive part of the story. All support seem to come from Fuse's friends like Kamphan, Gun and Bar.
Even though it ended unhappily even The Best Story made more sense and had a great balance.
Future the Series will definitely not go down as a favorite. And that's a pity because I adore Rookie Thailand.
Update: Episode 6 Aired and nothing changed in fact it got just a little bit worse. So good news is it's over and I never have to see it again. This one is dead to me.

This series has no future
Honesty, this series was doomed from the beginning. While the premise was promising, they just did not know what to do with it. They provided no direction for its actors. From a production standpoint, this series falls completely flat. Much of the dialogue is just plain amateurish and came across as if it was not even rehearsed. The sound in several parts was uneven and faded in and out. For the most part, the performers were unchallenged, and it seemed like the performers were told to act drunk even if they were not drunk or drinking. Was this review helpful to you?

Not really worth it
Honestly, after watching the first episode, I almost quit watching it. Since I had nothing better to do, I decided to continue because maybe it got good after it. The real answer, no, it didn't. (THIS IS INCLUDING NO HATE TO ANY ACTORS WITHIN THE SERIES)The beginning already had me thinking what kind of script this was. Within the first half (and the first episode) Ana was already "in love" with Fuse which doesn't really even make since because the haven't even really met. After a little bit of flirting, Fuse and Ana are dating?! Accusing each other and getting jealous then starts to happen not even 20 minutes (in the show) after they started dating.
There was no inclusion of getting to know each other before dating. This was definitely an instant love situation which made it not very enjoyable. The ending also made no sense. I would have liked it to end at episode 5 but they just added pointless plot to the 6th episode. I wouldn't recommend watching if you are looking for a cute, short, BL to watch that has some plot to it. Not going to be rewatching this in the future.

IT IS BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD I will not watch this again ever. Not even for money.
No plot.No chemistry between the leads.
No idea what's happening 80% of the time.
I don't even remember their namesand I finished 2 days ago. Let's name it LITTLE one and Dentist one.
Little one BFF got mad for a broken promise, sulk, got drunk, sulk more, got more mad, more sulking, etc. Issue never talk, never resolve. Assume he will sulk till eternity.
Dentist has issues rushing things. 3 seconds after getting a boyfriend wants them to meet the parents. Everyone but Little run for their lives. I don't blame them.
Friends are noisy. And so many u stop trying to know whom is whom. And who is friend of whom.
The only girl friend tries to steal Little from Dentist every chance she got.
Parents act like preteens.
They keep talking about how mad they are cuz Mark and Vee are in love and never visit them. And at the end they never did. They name them almost every episode.
NOTHING HAPPENED. And people sulk and got jealous and mad and break up for the most stupidest reasons.
Little is a minor when sleeps with Dentist. Dentist finds out later that fact but since it's Little almost 20th b-day everything is fine and dandy.
No NC Scene just some kisses. THANKS GOD. I don't think I can cope with an NC Scene with that lack of chemistry.
Don't waste almost 6 hours of your like. Sleep or watch the grass grow. It'll be more fulfilling funnier.
DO NOT WATCH THIS. FOR REAL.

skip episodes 3 and 5
Overall: nothing really happened in this series and when something did happen it felt extremely contrived. You can skip episode 3 (a whole bunch of stupid jealousy) and 5 (a whole bunch of counseling sessions with all combos of characters). This is set in the Love Mechanics universe with mostly new actors. 6 episodes about 45 minutes each. Aired on GagaOOLala and YouTube.Content Warnings: dub/non con kiss, homophobia
What I Liked
- the supportive friends (but had waaaayyyy too much screen time)
- a few cute moments
- Ana's mom and dad
- mentioned how expensive medicine is
- they do allude to them having sex but don't show anything
- that Fuse stands by Ana and they talk in the car in episode 4 about what happened and stands up for their relationship again
- neutral, there are comedy sound effects
FYI the title Future might come from the character's name, Anakhot, which means "future" in Thai.
Room For Improvement
- the plot is bogged down by not needed conversations/texts with Ana and Fuse's parents and friends, in the final episode out of 40 minutes there was a 4 minute scene towards the beginning and a 4 minute scene at the end with just the two of them (and even at the end it wasn't just the two of them exactly), so only 8 minutes of 40 minutes was spent on the protagonists with each other?!!!!! The plot in these 6 episodes could have easily been cut down to 2 episodes.
- Ana is set up to be very shy and then there is a (pointless) 1 year time jump and suddenly he is extremely forthright/flirty???
- a bunch of characters were introduced really quickly but I figured out the main couple at least
- nonsense plot and dialogue, who on earth would say 'you have to be my wife/bottom' to a near stranger, do they like each other, why??? completely ridiculous (and not in the fun way) jealousy
- the protagonists seem too immature to be in a relationship with anyone
- that bizarre conversation with that guy at the end came out of nowhere, and why does it matter if someone has had many partners or has many partners, what century are we living in
- loud and constant music
- crying without tears
- many subtitle errors that negatively affected understanding what was being said, I wish Gaga had cleaned up the subtitles I assume they were given by the production company

I watched it so you don't have to
Most of the younger cast in this series are rookies, and I hope they will get better given the chance, but this was not worth watching. 6 episodes and all we got was crush/boyfriends/jealousy/stupid parents/making up/parents now ok. Butterfly level 0. No chemistry. This series fits into the Love Mechanics/En of Love universe. And does it fit! This universe is not one to produce the best romance (unless it's re-done properly as done with Love Mechanics) and this series is no different. I would have rated lower if not for the acting of Bigboom in the role of Ana. He's the only one who seemed to put in real heart and effort and who's acting was not cringe. Every other character was either written badly with odd or cringe dialogue, overacted about 60 % or just didn't bother to act at all. A lot of unnecessary dialogue, sometimes the same dialogue but in a different scene. People in love don't seem to be in love at all, drunk people are not drunk, kisses are not kisses. Side characters are not of any importance apart from the parents (who are just as cringe as the rest). Please thank me for watching this for you, so you don't have to!

Cute actors let down by the story
I don't recommend it. The series suffers from a story that lacks maturity. There are some scenes that imply sexual intimacy and the actors are nice to look at and seem to be giving it their best but are ultimately let down by the script. The main characters are surrounded by colleagues and friends that, when they are not trying to dig into their personal business, are out to sabotage any chance of the budding relationship working. It's annoying!
I stopped watching because after 4 episodes I still don't really like any of the characters. It may be that a lot of comedic banter between friends works in Thai but falls flat in the english subtitles.

I really wanted to like this series...
The problem is that it is just dull, there isn't much of a plot and what is there doesn't make much sense. I don't mind a series that is all cute and full of fluff, but this isn't that type of series. This feels like a throwback to 2015 era Thai BL series in a way. It is just unpolished, and not well written or directed. The production values like sound, and at times even lighting and camera focus are lacking quality. I have seen low budget series and tiny production teams that do a much better job. This is something you watch but once it is done, it is highly forgettable. The actors did an OK job with the poor script and I hope to see them again in a better series. Or maybe I just have a soft spot for the cute boys? That said, there wasn't any apparent chemistry between the main couple which again leads back to poor production or a bad director.
I watched this to the end mostly to complete the En of Love and Love Mechanics series. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend starting this or watching as a standalone show.

If you read other comments and decide not to watch it read this first.
Honestly I started episode 1 and liked it a lot but I then came here to add it to my "Currently watching" and saw the reviews and got scared. I have ADHD, yes I'm actually diagnosed, but I'm unmedicated. Because of this things that are boring can really lose me quickly and quite a few other things can as well. Even if its not boring and its a good show I randomly stop watching them if a specific scene loses my attention or something. I just completed bed friends a few nights ago and I started watching it when it came out. Not because it wasn't good, It was really good, but because of my stupid ADHD attention span. So with all that I was really worried it was gonna be so bad. Thankfully, the first episode was able to make my brain curious to keep watching. The acting of the two main characters was actually really good in my opinion and yes that was my favorite thing. I've seen quite a few people saying how unrealistic it is but If they are saying that I think they have forgotten what real life is like ( in the sense of their relationship and what happens) not everyone is supportive and you will probably go "Yeah no I know but parents aren't like that" but I know from experience that those type of parents are completely realistic and they did a good job portraying them. My parents are almost exactly like Fuse's in the sense of support. I say mostly because the ending where they dont accept but kinda accept would not happen for me or if it did not that quickly. They use to been worse its been like 6 years and they have finally gotten to the point of Fuse's parents. With their break up thing people say why would you break up with someone that you love. Honestly I understand Ana's point of view, not because of the parents thing, I dont care about that, but the fact of knowing or thinking the other person can have someone better than yourself. People also say to skip episodes 3 and 5 but I'd say watch them. They are defiantly important to the story and you wont understand some things if you dont watch them, you can skip through them with the 10 second skip thing over and over if you want to find interesting point but dont skip them completely. I think this bl drama was great especially compared to starstruck. I can definitely see why people might not like it but I think its good. Its not my favorite but its still worth watching in my opinion. Was this review helpful to you?
Adorable and sweet
I found Ana and Fuse adorable when we were introduced to the two of them in Love Mechanics. The cast didn’t change, which was surprising, but in a good way. Vee and Mark are not part of the story, but they do get mentioned quite a few times. That’s okay though. The storyline is a bit different, but that’s understandable, especially with this being done by a different company. I am not familiar with the novels, so I don’t know which storyline is closer to the novels, not that it really matters to me.Fuse & Ana: I like how even though Ana has liked Fuse for a while, he turns the situation around, so Fuse ends up being the one pursuing Ana. It’s quite obvious that Ana didn’t have much luck in love and relationships by now, so maybe that’s the reason he never actually tried to go after Fuse. Fuse on the other hand is just sick of love around him, so he decides to get himself a man too. Honestly, kudos to him. He knows what he wants, he just needs to find the right guy. When the two are together, they are just so sweet. It’s just so much fluff going on, almost to the point of it being too much. And Fuse’s whiny voice when he calls P’Ana? It had me aweing at the screen almost every time. Their communication is also pretty good, they talk about most of their problems and are pretty honest about it. Sure, there are certain shortcomings, but they are not that bothersome.
I do sometimes find it hard to believe that Ana is a few years older than Fuse. He doesn’t seem very mature when it comes to dealing with relationship problems. Fuse seems to be much more assertive on the topic, even when it comes to his parents. It might be due to Ana’s past, him feeling like he isn’t good enough for anyone. But when Fuse is all cute and whiny, I can definitely see how Ana is the older one.
I think saying that the story gets a bit choppy at times or seems to be extremely fast paced at certain times is understandable. It’s an ongoing issue I have with shorter series – there is just not enough time to cram everything in, to give the relationship time to develop, so it ends up being kind of rushed. Or it makes me feel like there is a lot of background stuff that we are missing. I do feel it got a bit better towards the end though.
I absolutely love Khamphan! He is representing all the single people with friends who are crazy in love. I do feel sorry for him though, feeling so left out and his friends not even realizing that. I just want to give him a big hug. He might smile, but he is hurting.
And to give credit where it’s due, the scene with both sets of parents in the last episode was something I was really happy to see. The conversation about the two choices they had is one that is very important. They are the only choices a parent has in such situation, and I wish more parents would make a better choice.

I liked it
Was this a masterpiece? No. But I still enjoyed it. I didn’t like the character change in Fuse from Love Mechanics to this, though. I think that had to do with it being a different story adaptation though.I do like these actors and I do want to see them again. The script could have been better. I ended up fast forwarding most of the last two episodes. I do hope Call My Name gets to be a drama soon.
