Love can seem beautiful, enviable and mutual always. But sometimes it seems so cold, painful and delusional to some couples. And this is exactly what this couple show us, they face fights and relationship problems. They show us how loving can hurt. "You need to take care of those people you love so you don't lose them." Too short!

STORY:

Yoona comes home to an empty apartment. She checks her calendar to find that she's forgotten about her girlfriend Soohyun's birthday. Later when Soohyun comes home Yoona is surprised to see that Soohyun isn't upset about it. Yoona tries to argue with Soohyun, but the later doesn't want to argue. Instead Soohyun asks to break up. They've been dating for 7 years, but she's tired now. She doesn't even know if she's dating Yoona anymore because Yoona doesn't even wear their ring.

This short film, is a nice take on the workaholic/distant husband troupe, except it's between women here. I really liked that the film took that troupe and ran with it, but I honestly felt that the film was too short for me to have any emotions or opinions on this film. The film starts just before their break up and ends when Soohyun closes the door on Yoona. We don't see what their relationship was before this all took place. We are only greeted with a flashback scene of what happened earlier in that day when Yoona leaves Soohyun for work, but that's it. We don't see any of their happy days, or know when Yoona started to pull away from Soohyun, so it's hard to make judgements. All I could think throughout the film was that if they've been dating for 7 years and Yoona was like this for most of the relationship, why did Soohyun stick around for as long as she did? Why was Soohyun so hopeful in the flashbacks?

OVERALL:

Honestly it's a nice slice of life short film, but it did feel a little too short. I would have loved to see some flashbacks of the many times Yoona distanced herself from Soohyun, so that I could feel some sort of emotion for either girls.

It's something to watch if you have some time, but you can still just skip over this film and you won't be missing out on anything.
