The series recounted the adventures of two friends, Qin Ge and Yang Fan. Qin Ge hoped to marry an entertainer girl, Yuan Yang, until his father’s past came back to haunt them in the most disturbing way. Yang Fan was betrothed to Tian Si Si, the spoiled daughter of a pugilist chief, and had to help his future in-laws stop an evil plot to take over Wulin.
