Mnet didn't surprise me again, honestly, it's seriously driving me crazy ah, they clearly show that they look at the choreography like any other idol. They chose the ones that appealed to them. Another wasted program. prime kingz should not have been eliminated from this competition, it was the biggest loss, words are not enough, it was a very unfair program, I pity the participating dance groups.

Some people's ignorant comments are annoying. Bank2brothers and prime kingz types are just too extreme. The Krumping type looks bigger, wild, and a bit exaggerated, while freestyle dancers like bank2brothers do the moves so professionally and fluidly that it seems like an easy genre. Dancing in such a flow is not for every brave man. Also the name of the program is street man fighter but it is the choreography that determines the elimination. Like a joke. Also, it's ridiculous to shoot a video and vote before the program is broadcast. and greedy I know. So there's no point in questioning the judges whose schedule is already full of bullshit.

just watching for 5000 lmao

NGL i was hoping to see more dance scenes rather than just drama and reaction cuts. MNET went overboard with that. I kinda got sick of watching it since i started this show specifically for the dances and battles not drama, BUT 5000 absolutely stole my attention and now im basically watching the show just for him. I ADORE THIS MAN SO MUCH<3
ALSO his crew "Mbitious"deserve SO much better, kke wtf is up with these judges, love them but they are not qualified to judge. ï voted for hi cause of his vibes"??? like no. this is a dance competition, so you're supoosed to vote based on skills, technic, and DANCING not "vibes"
it seriously seems like everyone has a grudge against mbitious. everyone's literally coming for their throats and won't give them a break.
i genuinely hope they get treated better in the upcoming episodes~

SMF RANT

Where to start... The program is a shitshow and the only redeeming quality is the dancers and the dancers only. Buckle up, this is a long one.

First, if you're familiar with MNET, you know how they operate. Money-hungry, fame-hungry, capitalist Mnet who put their interest first over the well-being of their artists. Their first shitty decision is to recruit idol judges instead of experienced and appropriate street dancers. Don't get me wrong, Boa, Wooyoung, and Eunhyuk are great artists and their experiences are amazing but their expertise is hardly different from the participants. It is safe to say that they were not qualified enough to judge the dancers. Not only that, the standard of judgment is clearly more appropriate if you were to judge an idol dancing with the obsession of facial expression over the techniques and skills.

I get that Mnet probably wants to attract the public's attention by recruiting known idols but even back in SWF, the one that made the program popular is the dancers themselves and not the judges. this also applies to SMF. Therefore, the reaction and 'criticism' the judges and Mnet received is warranted.

Next is the unbelievable restriction from Mnet on the dancers. in almost every mission, the dancers were controlled by Mnet. For example, in the Mega Crew Mission, the way the crews have no say on the clothes and songs is ridiculous. In the end, YGX suffered from the rule. In the Muse Mission, it was so stupid that the crew has no freedom on who the muse was on their own. As a result, Mbitious who had a completely different color from La Chica struggles with the mission. It's sad how there is little to no freedom in SMF as compared to SWF.

Third, the biggest irony when for a program named street dancer, there were only two street dancing crews, and most of the missions are very much catered to crews that specialize in choreography.

Lastly, this is me more as a Mbitious stan but the way Mnet portrayed the Mbitious members as incompetent and weak dancers was so evil. Ocheon went from being one of the most respected and talented dancers in the dancing scene just to be portrayed as weak solely because his dancing style is not to the judges' liking and because he is a leader of a 'temporary group'. Every single member of Mbitious was perceived as less than a dancer which is not true at all. If you watched Be Ambitious, you will know how talented and amazing dancer each of them is. The storyline given by Mnet greatly affected them up to the point where they got hate and their ability was questioned by those who not only can't dance but also didn't know them as dancers.

So, if we were to compare between SWF and SMF, based on production, missions, popularities, and judges. SWF wins this by a landslide but I have soft spot for SMF because it introduces me to Mbitious.

There's a lot more that I want to say but I'm getting tired. Despite everything, this is still a good show solely because f the dancers and the quality that they put into every mission. We can clearly see how close they are behind the scene despite Mnet trying so hard to highlight the fake drama.

Anyway, I'm glad this is over and the dancers can go back to their original jobs but with a lot more recognition and popularity. Will miss Mbitious very much though.

Survival show without doubt :D

Ofcourse as it was survival show it had a lot of drama. I really enjoyed watching this program, even though i didn't know any crew at first and started watching it only cuz 3racha produced a song for the dancers so i planed watching just that but i got so drowned to this that i couldn't stop watching it.
Judges: I personally think the judges weren't bad joice and all of them were skilled in dancing but sometimes i just felt like they are judging other things than dancing, so this felt unfair sometimes for the dancers.
My choice: I literally fell in love with Mbitious and Bank2 Brothers they were totally my style of dancing so they made me feel very happy
ALSO: go watch Be ambitious if you are fan of ocheon- all the reactions of the dancers on ocheon and his reactions too were very funny and admirable:)

Just watch the dances

* This is my opinion only, you can have your own opinion.
If you haven't watched "Be the SMF," I would recommend watching "Be the SMF" before diving into this show.
Despite having no prior experience in dancing, I found this show quite enjoyable. If dance is your primary interest, you can simply focus on the missions and skip the drama elements.


Pros
- It was a pleasure to watch their K-pop mission, mega crew mission, and other missions. The performances were great.


Cons
- Celebrity judges are still involved in evaluating the dancers, which, in my view, may not be the best way to judge dance quality. I do not think they should be allowed to judge dancer's dancing quality. The judges had limited knowledge of dance and were primarily basing their judgments on the audience's reactions and wow factors rather than the dance quality.

- Mnet created missions and additional rules just to stir up drama in the show. And for anyone who is not familiar with Mnet, they are known for editing the scenes to make dramas. So it's essential not to take their editing at face value. Do not trust their editing plz. Do not hate teams or dancers because of it. I am sick of them creating fake dramas.

- I do not like team Eo-Ddae. Every time they showed this team, I skipped it.

A program that can improve but is wachtable

Overal I enjoyed watching this dance program, Love the concept eventough it looks like many other dance programs, but it's the style they are going for in korea which isn't nesserly bad.

I do like how they did the battle ground.. I would definitely watch another season but probably won't rewatch this season.
I feel it cab grow into a better program.

I do really want someone in the jury who doesn't have any print in the music or dance scene to give a bystanders oppion and a viewer perspective, with a professional dansers perspective, an artist's perspective, a produceren and choreography perspective. so it has more demantion, I Feel for a street fighter program they judge to much on choreography It needs to be judged in more aspects I feel and also at the same time by someone unbaiest, because as a viewer I felt things different, saw things differently, because I don't look at the techniek and the fine details or the styles I personally know nothing about. I look at people that draw my eyes, make me exited, and make it seem effortless when it's really hard, to me something that looks less Neat or strict can look way better at times because of feel and vibes and enotions it draws out, so a more indept judgement and reasoning would be appreciated, not that the jury that where there where bad, but I feel they should add either more judges or more guest specialist that stick around troughout the season or swiches up.. for me some of the dances especially with the battles felt hard to watch or get exited about because they did to much of the same movements to often that it didn't add anything for me from my point of view or to many tricks that destracted me from the overal dance movements.. which made me like the teams that lost over another team alot more.. but the judges had a complete other option than mine which is fare, but it did made me feel dissapointed because I felt it was lacking a bit and taste will always win over quality unfortunately.. for me none off the crew/dancers where truly bad or good they all flurished in there own ways and all have different strengstes, for me really I didn't know any of the dance groups or dancers exept I reconized Hoja because I enjoyed Infinite, I felt that the atmosphere was very harse and bold in the beginning didn't always enjoy the editude of some members in the crews, but they did grow on me over time and became somewhat Humble and more respectful towards each other groups and dansers.. I do like how they did things battle wise and competition wise, there's always room to improve.. battle wise I would have liked if they changed the battle sequence to be more anonymously, they would always announce who would battel who before beginning the battle.. I would have liked it to be like everyone looking ready to battle and dance but then one or multiple members would step out and start dancing.. so it would have been more exiting for me and like a battle on the streets, also would have liked to see a in one go battle, meaning they will create a order before hand and do all the sequence and stages of the battle rounds in one go.. so the judge have to evaluatie the who battle overal battle in one go, or choose to have them re- battle and have them choose who they want to see and have fate decide who will start trough a coin flip or something so they can comfirm the end result.

FYI THIS IS A RANT

So I just finished watching the show, the crew that won was so deserving I truest don’t think any other crew was as consistent and amazing all 10 episodes as the crew that won!!! HOWEVER I have a bone to pick with the show, starting from ep 1 I will go over my peeves of the show that made me lower the score and just generally how I felt watching it

So to start I think the crews were too rude and it made me not actually care for any of them bc of how they were talking, it is part of the reason it took awhile for me to even like WDBZ bc of how ingyoo would speak in the confessional videos. Also felt like some battles aka kinky vs yongjun didn’t need a rematch!!

Moving further I feel like prime kingz shouldn’t have lost the leader battle like that baffled me it also didn’t need a rematch either and even though it went there I still think trix did enough also the group battle the creativity with the shoe likeeee come on now. But b2b is a good crew so I moved past it

Vata stealing the say my name riding choreo for his also ticked me off real bad as an ATINY but again moved past it, I didn’t have much issue with ygx leaving I feel that was a given for that situation but it was sad regardless I don’t think they got the respect they deserved but that mega crew choreo was a bit lacking there as well as b2b but they did enough ig but speaking of the mega crew battle WDBZ deserved more points I think their use of the wheel stage was the best and it was just all around a good performance but moving on

1million was being paid dust and it hurt to watch bc I think they have had some of the best choreo the whole time along with just jerk but I feel like it isn’t really acknowledged the way it should be like in the MUSE challenge I can’t stress how hard it was to see mbitious who gave a lackluster performance Be ranked 1st bc they have the most views like bffr this is supposed to be a dance competition yet a group consistently scoring below from the judges in that challenge makes first and a top ranking team gets eliminated
That was obviously mnet not wanting their home team gone before the finale, which all goes back full circle that I think regardless of all the drama I think the best crew did win.

You can's miss this! Mnet OUT!

Watch this show if you're fan of music and dancing or if you were a fan of Street Woman Fighter. They are all talented dancers. Watch just for that.
I don't understand people who judge the judges or the MC are unfit for the show (SMH). IT IS A SHOW! not a major dance competition, and i see you all already understand how Mnet run things, but you all still watch it anyway LOL.
Anyway, enjoy this show, let's see how this show turns out, will the results come out just like SWF or below? because we're all waiting for it, how this show can bring these dancers into recognition in South Korea. Please be understanding with Mnet (LMAO)!

It's pretty good..

For a person who came for the dancing, it was pretty good. The drama wasn't as edited as in SWF but you can still see it was a bit heated. I mainly posted this comment because there was another one saying ridiculous things. It's a battle it's not meant to be as technical the moves are good but if you're lacking the energy you can't bring it. It's like writing the best essay in the world but nobody can read it. so it's about bringing the energy. Most of the judges' decisions I agree with and so did the contestants so who are you to flip out and get mad at? I DO AGREE WITH THE B2B PART THO

If you want purely dancing, I suggest u watch the street dance of china but if you want some more SAUCE the SMF is perfect including the music track in SMF is WAY better.
This is besides the point but their VISUALSSSS
The dancing is good, and it is entertaining, wanting to see what will happen next, although some scenes are a bit repetitive. I prefer this season more than the first and I'm rooting for 1million and YGX...
