A classic!
I agree with all the cons other reviewers listed. The female lead is frustratingly naïve, to the point it's straight up unjustifiable. There is a lot of screaming and over acting. However, something about it feels so nostalgic and comforting. It looks like a big budget early YouTube sketch and I love it! Aaron Yan was awesome and carried this drama. The story is nothing special, just a CEO/employee relationship but that's not necessarily a bad thing. If you want something to take you back to the 2010s and don't mind the over acting, I would recommend this. If you're in search of a quality drama, maybe skip this one.Was this review helpful to you?
Ugh!
The girls were either yelling or whining. The female lead was always yelling or pouting. She acted very immature. And she was a doormat, He was cranky through most of the show. He didn’t speak up on his feelings for her, just kept letting her say how she felt. And I really had a hard time getting past his hair. You could have landed a plane on it, for Pete’s sake! Add to the fact that this show was entirely too long - each episode seemed to have more of the same angst as the previous one - "I like you, but you are hanging out with your psycho ex-girlfriend so I can't like you, so we'll be roommates and co-workers and nothing else".Was this review helpful to you?
I think if I average out my scores, this drama should get less than 7.5, but my overall feeling after finishing it really was 7.5-8. They need a section for "feels." This was a 9 for "feels."
"Just You" is a familiar plot device in the beginning, but you will find as the drama goes on, there are layers of real heart and feeling to be peeled back if you can stick with it. So because it was cliche, I would have given it a lower score, but the story got significantly more developed as we neared the end of the drama, and I actually FELT the emotions of the characters after all was said and done. That bumped it up to a 7 for story.
Acting was really not good. But hey, it's a T-Drama. They have different acting styles than Western viewers are used to, and I am able to acclimate to it after a few episodes. I really like Aaron Yan. He's sexy as SIN, and his acting is really quite good. He's a big 10 for me! The girl was eh. She got better as the drama went on! Her character fleshed out and she got a bit more chill.
The OST of this drama was actually quite nice, and I liked most of their song choices. But their sound production was way off, so the music was sometimes too loud over their talking. Also sometimes the music choice was bizarre. They need to step away from Garage Band and hire an orchestra.
Rewatch value is low because it was so bogged down by side plots I didn't care about. I skipped a lot! Also, I recommend watching it on Netflix. They split the episodes into 20 minute chunks that were easier for me to "digest." I was about to give up on it, and then it popped up on Netflix, and suddenly skipping ahead became easier, and I didn't feel like giving up because I couldn't get through 1 1/2 hours per episode.
Overall, I have to admit that I got ALL the feels from this drama. Aaron Yan, as I said, was marvelous to look at. And the kisses are worth hanging in there for! Their relationship was super cute at the end, and all in all, I am really glad I watched it. It was just the right cheese I needed in my life right now!

Story: 9/10 because who hasn't seen a plot like this. People end up living together or boss & employee fall in love. But this was done differently and added a little twist to the story.
Acting: 9/10 because I've seen both leads in different dramas & they can both act. I've also seen the second male lead in a different drama as well. I think the leads have cute chemistry, but I felt that the acting from the female lead turned up a notch recently(ep. 6). I just can't wait to see what happens.
Music: 8/10 because the opening is cute, some of the BGM is memorable to me at least:) but not as memorable as others though.
Rewatch value: 10/10 I would watch this again when this drama is done because of the adorable actors/actresses in this.

The story is cliche, but that is exacly why I decided to watch it. I was a little thrown back by the episode count and lenght. The drama does drag on, but I have seen worse. And yes there is an evil ex arc, so if you're not into that then you can pass. If you're looking for a deep story this is definitely not it. Just you is super cheesy and repetative, most of the plot lines have been done a million times.
The characters...*sight*. Even though I came to love Liang Liang by the end of the show, I almost dropped Just you, because I thought she was very annoying, especially the fact that she has no pride wich kind of changes. Qi Yi is your cliche mean guy with a sad past wich is fine from time to time. Even though our main couple's relationship is super cute and heart warming the other couples were for the most part forced, because the dating ban. The worst thing is that everything was kind of forced. It seemed like the characters made their decisions because it was convenient for the plot wich is not ideal. Even if it's a story about an alien living on earth, I want to feel like he, his emotions are real. Kate was annoying, Dean and Jerry were usseles puppets. Ja Yu's reasonings were poorly written. And so much more cons...
The music was kind of amazing. Even though I would not lisen to it outside this drama it really fit the mood and the lyrics were touching. I liked it more with every episode.
But you know what? Because all i needed was a cute, light story and even though it was poorly done, I enjoyed it! Qi Yi and Liang Liang were suuuper cute and watching our main guy fall in love and change for the better was a delight. And the goldfish! ^^
If you ran out of ideas and you have time on your hand, check Just you out, but if you have better dramas on your plan to watch list this is totally skippable.

Story - normal, not the most special. Romance between strict boss and leisurely, emotional employee. It shows their daily lives, getting to know each other more. Yet the best part is the environment is soo enjoyable, that I could not help but finding excitement in each of the boring scenes.
Acting - 10/10. First watched Aaron Yan in something and fell in love with him. Kuo Puff is also extremely cute.
Music - the music are great. these are the permanent item in my playlist. The song by Aaron Yan himself is also amazing.
Rewatch value: watched it thrice. so it is 10.
I am hoping my review will encourage you to watch it. Even if it doesn't at least watch the first few episodes then decide what you think :)

This drama is a ball of fluffy nonsense. Far from flawless, it still manages to grow on you nonetheless and to leave you in a cheerful mood.
Story-wise, it is pretty simple and consistent, so don't expect any major plot twist. The story is centered around the main couple's relationship and their loved-ones. That's it. A no-brainer (except of course if you take into account the "angsty" moments of this drama that are quite far-stretched to say the least).
As for the acting, yes it was over-the-top (especially with Liang Liang, the female lead, her friend Princess, and Dean) but since it fits perfectly with the atmosphere of the drama, somehow you end up getting used to it (and even enjoying it). Also can we talk about how great the chemistry between the leads was?!
The soundtrack of Just You is my favorite thing right now, tho it's rather a question of taste. My only complaint is that during some scenes of the drama, the songs played didn't always fit the mood.
Overall, it's a light romantic comedy, which is full of crazy and fluffy. It might not end up in your Top 5 Dramas but it will certainly find a special place into your heart if you're ready to look past its flaws and extravagance.

At the time of starting this drama, I was about 11 episodes into Fall In Love With Me. I had started that drama months ago but I just couldn’t do it anymore, and the only thing keeping it on my “on-hold” list and off my “dropped” list was Aaron Yan. I was really enjoying filwm for like 1/3 of it, but soon he became my only reason for watching. I had been wanting to watch another one of his dramas, a good one, and this one got great reviews and was actually recommended to me.
So basically I watched this for Aaron Yan.
Also, Bromance had me really in the mood for a cutesy Taiwanese drama.
To be honest, I didn’t like the way it started. There was something about it, I don’t know if it was rushed or forced or whatever, it was just weird to me. Plus I didn’t really like Puff’s acting/character at first. But I don’t like to judge dramas based on the first episode, plus people talk so highly about it, so I kept watching. It was a rough start, but trust me it gets better.
Note: Puff’s character Liang Liang is loud. I don’t know how else to describe it. Loud and exaggerated. You just have to get used to it. I got used to it eventually, it only really bugged me in the first episode. She’s naive and innocent like a child, but she’s really sweet.
I actually really loved Liang Liang’s character development. She went from only worrying about everyone else and being so passive to taking control of what she wants. When she finally stood up for herself and Qi Yi, I was cheering.
I don’t have much to say about the plot. It was one of the rude guys becomes nice and changes because of the girl that came into their life kind of dramas with the addition of a forced living situation (if you can call it forced). I really like them, I know some people are sick of the trope. I thought this one was nicely done. I liked watching Qi Yi slowly fall for Liang Liang, their relationship was so sweet. Sometimes he was a complete idiot, but we’re not going to talk about that right now. The important thing was that if you also enjoy these kind of stories, you need to give this one a shot
Also, I liked the additional family aspect. The relationship that both of them had with their families was really sweet to watch, especially when they started to blend together.
I really didn’t like the second female lead/antagonist. Not enough to stop watching, but she bugged the crap out of me. The woman legit belonged in a mental institution I do not understand why they never called the police on her.
But what I thought was the golden aspect of the drama was the romance. They were really cute together. So cute. I really needed cute. I loved the way Qi Yi looked at her. And they kissed a lot and the kisses were really nice. Aaron Yan films really nice kiss scenes. Seriously guys if anything watch it for the kisses. And I absolutely loved the ending. The ending balanced out like every annoying thing that happened earlier in the drama.
Even now, a couple of weeks after finishing the drama, I'm still thinking about their sweetness and the sweetness of the story.
Overall, it was a fun watch. I’m glad I didn’t pass it up.

You will laugh, cry and get angry and frustrated -- the writers were good at dragging out almost every human emotion of the viewer. However, I will add one line you must look for in the movie "I forgot to wear a bra." If you have seen it you will laugh and if you decide to see it -- well I'm assuming you will enjoy that line the most -- it was my favorite.

The acting is not superb. As cute and robust the characters are, they tend to be poorly delivered by the actors and actresses playing the parts.
The script is pretty much cliches. Cliches everywhere.
That being said. For some odd reason, I find this drama to be so dang rewatchable. In fact there are times when I just absolutely crave this show. About every two to three months I go to rewatch my favorite parts and actually end up rewatching the entire thing.
The music is fantastic. Some of my favorite songs to date. Seriously. The lyrics are always so true and match up so well with what's going on in the drama itself. Absolute perfection!
And while the acting isn't too terribly great, I find myself enjoying their performances more and more. In fact this show made me such a huge Aaron Yan fan. His music is great and his acting improves a lot throughout this drama.
It is a worth watching drama. You will laugh at the acting, at the jokes, and at yourself for crying throughout the entire show. Trust me, this drama is worth it!

The drama is about a quirky, clutzy office girl with a heart of gold who changes a cold CEO of a consulting company into a warm loving man again. Its what I label as a "feel good" drama. Loved it so much, I'm watching it again. Aaron Yan is sooo damn hot! Ost is fantastic, I can't stop listening to "Unstoppable Sun" all day long.
