This was such a cute drama. I feel like that's the only word to describe this. There were many aspects of the drama I loved and some I couldn't stand but still, I already feel like rewatching it.The plot is kind of typical, strict male lead, bubbly female lead, certain circumstances happen and they end up living together. Not going to lie, the first few episodes, though interestingly funny, nothing much happens. You kind of just wait for the story to move along, but after a certain episode everything just started to move along nicely.
Acting/Cast I seriously loved! I loved all the officer workers, the families, the randoms etc everyone! Everyones role was perfectly scripted and they were a big part of this whole drama. By the end of the drama I felt so attached to all the character that their happiness low-key made me a little teary eyed :'D but I especially liked Kate & Princess. It was refreshing to see friends being a strong support system (not sure how to describe this without spoilers).
Though Puff's character was a bit annoying and naive at times, I liked her character and her acting wasn't half bad, this was the only drama I've watched her in so based on Just You, i liked her. Now Aaron. Woo. That is a handsome man. I haven't really watched a drama with him in a long time. I love his acting. The process of his character changing was perfect to me. It wasn't anything too obvious or too slow. I think that's a big part as to why I liked this drama too.
Music overall was nice to listen to. The them song was cute but I think my favorite was the insert song (I'm Your Cat) I liked how the beginning was played in certain scenes. Sounds weird but I like weird things like that.
Definitely will be watching this drama again ~!

Perfect kitsch, well worth a re-watch
I very rarely rewatch shows as I'd much rather spend my time exploring new ones, but this show happens to hold a special place in my heart. I grew up in North America & first got into watching Asian dramas only in 2021, thanks to Netflix. The first shows I started on were Taiwanese ones from 2011-2013. There's something unique about this time period & I was so fascinated by the level of the storytelling in the dramas & the pure fun of the comedies. And the music - the soundtrack songs became my introduction to the modern Asian music scene which I now listen to almost exclusively after listening to 1990's British/American alternative in my formative years.I've since moved onto Mainland China & Korean dramas, but I was brought back to this one for a re-watch. It's very representative of the kitsch of this era: cringeworthy over-the-top-acting, annoyingly immature characters, & eye-rollingly implausible situations. But what caught my attention was the scenery, the bright colour palette, the house the characters lived in & how they lived in it, all to the tune of a very catchy theme song which still brings a warm feeling when I hear it. And prior to the spectacular downfall of his own making, Aaron Yan was king in 2013. The light hearted, playful tone & pure irreverence of this show, & some others of that time/place, is largely unmatched in anything I've seen since (over 150 shows in the last 3 years). And 2nd time around, I'm realizing how hilarious Dean Fujioka was as the love rival. This show can be reviewed critically as lousy, but what it achieved sentimentally is something that can't be rated, so I give it my mid-range 7.5.

People kept comparing this drama to "Fall In Love With Me", so I gave it a shot and wanted to know it myself. To me, the drama is like a pilot project for "Fall In Love With Me". You get excited with the first part of the story and someone came in the middle, wreck it up, and then the writers did not know how to end it. The problem with the story is that it is mostly flat and you can end up with an episode with no significant conflict at all. They dragged it too much and I ended up watching the last 8 episodes in 2x speed. In some point, I felt that the cutscenes for ad breaks are more interesting for the story. The casts' acting are good overall, I liked the fact that the supporting characters are given bigger part in the story (but they never revealed what happened with Cui Xia's mom lol). However, Lyla Lin wasn't "fierce" enough as an antagonist.. where the story might came to blame - in one episode she almost did not appear or do stuff to break Qi Yi and Liang Liang while she's supposed to be so desperate with that.
I generally liked the music, but yeah they just flooded it whenever they like and sometimes it doesn't sound right for me. I don't think I'll rewatch this again, since I don't find any strong points that made me want to rewatch.

Trope heavy, standard fare that went on for too long
The show started as a typical office romance rom-com. It moved along steadily for a number of episodes and there were some funny moments and a bit of cute here and there. The story line is the standard cool/aloof boss, bubbly girl pairing. I won't say that there was great chemistry but enough to sustain the plot. There are a decent amount of skinship in the last 1/3. It really took a turn for the worse when they introduced the ex GF trope about 1/3 way into the run. No problem with that as it is so common in dramaland but some bad writing really gave me pause. Not only was the ex manipulative (given), a bit evil (also given) but the story had the ML and 2nd ML doing nothing to spare the FL all the pain and suffering at the hands of the ex even though she was caught red handed in the backstabbing act. She was allowed to keep working in the same office and in a management role no less. I suppose so that she can keep harassing the FL for many, many episodes for our "entertainment". When you consider the ML brought all this on from the beginning and kept digging a deeper and deeper hole is depressing. Complete failure to communicate is not a good plot device. It is just annoying in my book. The saving grace is Dean (2nd ML), he is a true and loyal friend, smart, handsome and protector of the FL. Which only makes the ML look worse by comparison. When you consider the ML final confessed to the FL at the 2/3 mark, I would have given the show a higher marks if they wrapped it up there and then (with a final happy ending episode) but the show went on for another 8+ hours! This means Just about every trope got an airing. It went from a rom-com to melo to farce! Nobody is ever punished for any misdeeds and EVERYONE gets a happy ending, serious?! It got to the point that I was skipping scenes in the middle episodes because it was so annoying and predictable. The needy ex GL served no purpose other than to generate angst and extend the show for way too long. Use that trope by all means but please don't labour it. Finally, don't be fooled by the episode count on Viki. They are double length episodes. On Netflix, it is 39 episodes about 42 mins each. It is not a short nor a quick watch. Was this review helpful to you?
I felt that the main female character was a little too whiney for my tastes and all she really did was complain and couldn't do much right and needed saving for most of the time. I wouldn't be rewatching this at all.

But I was pleasantly surprised. Ok, his hair is distracting a lot of the time ???? but this was really good. It was funny (and sometimes sad) and while the story wasn’t earthshattering I was really hooked to see how things were going to play out.
It was pretty cheesy in places but I like that in a drama.
Not too long which is also a plus.
Acting was good, I was very invested in their characters. Liang Liang in particular was really good.
Some of the sub plots were a bit underwhelming and went kind of nowhere but on the whole remarkably well contained.
Would recommend if you like your dramas a bit silly.

I originally started watching this drama because of the actors, but it really dragged me in with the plot and the suspence with the two main characters. Story: I really loved the story and how Qi Yi and Cheng Liang Liang started to get along with each other. I liked how every time Liang Liang left for some reason Qi Yi would always try and find a way to bring her back. I loved when they first started to like each other but then when Dean and Ding Jia Yu came along it added more dynamics. I usually do not like when people try to add in side plots but, this time with Alex and Kate I loved their story with their ups and downs. I didn't like how urnsure he showed how he felt to Cheng Liang Liang. She would get very emotional and then she would forgive him. Another thing that I loved at the end was how Liang Liang treated Ding Jia Yu in the end, she treated her like a friend even after what happened. Overall I loved the story but, I didn't like how Qi Yi treated her. Although I felt he did make it up at the last episode.
Acting/Cast: I love Aaron Yan and Puff Kuo together, they seemed to have great chemistry. The only thing I didn't like was how exaggerated Ding Jia Yu was with trying to get Qi Yi to like her back again.
Music: I loved the OST in Just You some of the songs were better than others but overall it was pretty good. The only thing I really did not like was that the music would cut out then cut back in again.
Rewatch Value: For my perspective I do not think that I will watch it again. I loved the story but I do not really want to watch this drama again.
Overall: I would definitely recommend to watch this drama. I think that many people will at least like experiencing the ups and down with Qi Yi and Cheng Liang Liang.

Dreadfully uninteresting, plot for 10-year-olds
This drama has NOTHING more than its meagre collection of tropes. It doesn't attempt to do anything with them, not give us enough chemistry to support the boring plot. Whatever you think can happen will happen: he hates her, he sees her naked (very predatory Mr Yang), he is her landlord and boss (inappropriate), they go on a trip and he saves her, he gets jealous of the other man trying to get close to her. It's really a collection of cliches that wouldn't satisfy anyone with an adult brain. And the acting is lacking to boot! All characters look like unkempt teenagers, not adults with jobs. The constant green screen does nothing to alleviate the sense of absurdism. If you want a good Taiwanese romace drama, watch The Way You Shine instead. Or even Refresh Man, if you like Aaron Yang

Arron Yan music !
This was my very first Asian drama and all I can say is that is is adorable! Loved the music- I had no idea that Arron Yan sang so well. I used to like the Hallmark channel movies but this is so much more fun! I have watched it several times. I would love to see an updated version of Puff and Arron with kids and in laws and parents living still in that house! The plot isn’t complicated but the FL is so upbeat rather than the American girl who is so depressed or sarcastic that it was a good change of pace. Was this review helpful to you?

Let’s weigh Just You on our show beam balance and see what makes it an adorable show.
Good Weights
Aaron Yan: When I saw Refresh Man I thought that there could be something brewing between Aaron and his co-star, Joanne Tseng because their chemistry was too good to be fake. I started watching two of Aaron’s other shows to see if he shared the same chemistry with other actresses. Few episodes into both the shows and I realised that Aaron could build chemistry with even a tree. He is one helluva romantic lead. He looks so convincing in every romantic scene that I am forced to wonder if he has anything going on with his actresses behind the camera. He has been linked with most of his leading ladies but nothing has ever been confirmed. Anyway, Aaron is the main highlight of this show. He may be repetitive with his roles but he does manage to look different in each show all thanks to his styling. Aaron’s ‘aeroplane’ hairstyle (that’s what his co-star Puff Guo calls it) looks a little funny but it suits him. Even with a baby face, he effectively manages to look like a strict, neurotic, and egotistical boss.
Puff Guo: The first few episodes, Liang Liang may appear very irritating and irrational but as the show progresses you will start liking her. Liang Liang gradually grows on you and you understand that she is a clean hearted, naive, and honest person. She is so innocent that at times I felt like shaking her hard and screaming at her to tell her to stop being so blind to peoples’ vices. Puff Guo plays the character of Liang Liang with a lot of sincerity which is evident onscreen.
Romance/Chemistry: The show may not be high on intimate scenes like other T-dramas nonetheless it has several endearing moments. Aaron and Puff have an easy chemistry between them and they look very comfortable with each other even behind the scenes. What the show lacked story wise was more than made up for by Aaron and Puff’s fabulous chemistry.
Bad Weights
Annoying Antagonist: Qi Yi ex-girlfriend is the antagonist in the show who gives a tough time to Liang Liang. Every couple needs a third-party threat to help the couple grow closer. But here Ding Jia Yu was just a pain in the neck. Qi Yi is clearly disinterested in her but she still won’t give up. Neither was Jia Yu’s character well defined nor was her motives behind any of her actions. She was too weak an antagonist. She lacked the kind of effect third angles generally have in a show.
Too Looooong: Every major development of the show takes too long to happen. For instance, Qi Yi has left for an important meeting with the wrong file. Liang Liang chases after him to hand him the right file. The chase itself takes up half the episode. Similarly, there are certain petty situations that take up more time than required. The show could have been concise and shorter had there not been such unnecessarily stretched scenes.
The show beam balance is heavy with good weights, which means Just You is a show to watch for sure. Its romance is what you have to look out for. Just You is a feel-good rom-com with honest and caring characters. If you fancy a disciplinarian boss and a fun loving subordinates’ love story then go for this one. If you are an Aaron Yan fan (like me) then do not dare miss this one. Watch Just You just for Aaron.

Episodes 1-4 (Netflix cut) are a little hard to get into. They're just very cringe worthy. But it's absolutely worth powering through, because--
Episodes 5-25 are absolutely addictive. They're magical. The music is great. The chemistry is sweet and poignant and funny and just 10/10 all around. This whole series could have been a perfect 10 for me except--
Episodes 26-35. They added two ultra angsty, totally unnecessary plots. The sweet romance almost completely disappears. This section is like a 6/10 for me.
36-39 they sort of try to bring back that sweet romance but it's just not the same. The final scene is great, though.
Ultimately even with the annoying ex girlfriend character and the really soul crushing episodes I'd still give this an 8/10. I'll definitely watch it again, just skipping those 10 near the end.
