Cute
This series has thrown my rating system into disarray. Objectively, this is the hallmark movie of C-dramaland in that we get a story that's fast-paced, romantic, and watchable yet it has the depth of a puddle and a very linear story arc. Nothing special, still, it's exactly what is needed to cleanse the palate after watching a dense drama like Legend of Mi Yue (which I disliked). Is it fair to rate it so high? Yes, because I'd like to send a message of support to the writers and production team so that they're encouraged to keep honing their skills and hopefully improve their outputs regarding quality, storytelling, and production values

The fun continues!
So many C-dramas start off good and then falter in the middle as amusement turns to serious drama , but that's not the case with 'Please Don't Spoil Me'! It continues the fun it started in Season 1...probably because the short episodes necessitate a fast-moving storyline, which keeps things light and amusing. The expressions and actions of the supporting cast members are hilarious as well as FL's clever schemes to continue her quest to remain at the Cold Palace. ML, on the other hand, is trying everything in his power to get her out of it and into his vicinity since at this point, he's thoroughly besotted with her. He does manage to get in some quality romance time, which begins to sway our intrepid heroine, but with the threat of elimination hanging over her, she's continues to resist his wiles. However, with the appearance of the heroine of her novel, she starts to feel some pangs of jealousy even as she's determined to matchmake her two protagonists together. This angers ML - and rightly so! He looked so hurt when he discovers her plot! Awwww!I'm really looking forward to Season 3, but I'm on pins and needles as to how the writer is going to keep these two together...please, please keep them together at the end! At one point, the ex-heroine doctor discovers that ML has something wrong with his body, which he requests that she keep secret, even from FL. Soooo, is this going to have something to do with how FL (and ML) depart her novel? It seems to me that she's going to have to depart. A person can't stay conked out in reality forever. So, the question is - will ML go with her or will he appear in real life? Argh, the suspense is killing me!

Continuing the story
Ok the story continue...This part of the story, FL (Yian Yi Yi (YY)) start to acknowledge she has a feeling for our ML (Qin Yu(QY)). But at the same time she also finally found the supposed FL (Su Qian Xue) that she decided for QY. And at the same time QY really gave out signal about his love for our YY & start chase her.
That's when the conflict of heart begin. YY that hope to steer the story back to its original storyline & at the same time she's already fall for QY.
And the story continue again in part 3. I'm really happy I watch this binge & don't need to wait for it while it's aired... Haha...

Season 2/5: On with the fun!
I don't know by what miracle, but they managed to continue with the same quality drama. The story is fast moving, there is no time to rest and still it does not seem rushed. The writing is solid, very funny, the acting is perfect, actors have great chemistry and the music is beautiful.
Our novelist is finally in the Cold Palace with Emperor pining for her outside and trying to figure out a way to bring her out without breaking his promise. She is getting bored doing nothing so she dresses up as an eunuch and goes out to the market. Unwittingly she messes up Queen Dowager's conspiracy plans provoking her wrath. There are more subplots there as well: fake poets and poetry competitions, imperial exam candidate who lost the will to fight (so funny!), the doctor she tries to set the Emperor up with only to realize she has feelings for him too, her bickering but adoring parents, her caveman of a brother I want to see more of!
What is surprising is that there is not one single annoying character. The FL is a strong and smart woman with a fast thinking head on her shoulders and who does not let anyone think otherwise. The ML has become a smitten emperor but still keeping his cool when faced with problems.
I am loving this. It has been so long since I laughed so much. It is worth every second spent.

Falling hard for U
I watched Season 1 and had to move on to Season 2. Season 2 proved to be very good too - entertaining and fun to watch! What I liked:
- The FL and ML had good chemistry.
- The leads were cute! And, they looked cute together!
- The ML fell in love with FL and he was truly, madly and deeply in love with her. He was also protective of her. So sweet and manly!
- The FL was intelligent and competent! She could hold her own fort and was extremely fluent. I loved how she had her own mind and was able to problem-solve. She was able to help the ML and not just be a damsel in distress.
I really enjoyed this short ride and I’m so happy to have Season 2 to enjoy. Moving on to Season 3! :)
