Overall cute drama
Female lead takes her brother's place in a music competition because her brother hurt his foot. She always had a music dream. So she dress like a boy to take her brother's place. When she was changing, she accidentally encountered the male lead. The male lead is a senior idol/singer. He guides and trains the other members of the competition including the female lead. He slowly develops feeling for her( not knowing he is actually a girl)The chemistry between them is soo good! they have a lot of cute, skip a heart beat scenes . Their kissing scenes are on point too.
The only really minus is the story line is kinda choppy. With a random side characters trying to blackmail the female lead about exposing her. All for her to leave the male lead and not be too close to him. Also the process of letting people know she is a girl is kinda choppy too. First its letting the company' s boss know her true identity, then her band mates and then i cant keep up lol
I still give it a 9.0 for the romance!!

Soooo young!
Another FL disguised as a male, those stories are among my favorites but this one is questionable in my eyes as the FL looks so young, she seriously looks like a 12 year old. The funny thing is as a female she looks a bit older...like 15 or 16 even. Not sure if she pulls off passing for a guy as she has very feminine features (she's really cute in a chubby cheeked way). The big issue is only 7 minutes?!? I've seen some dramas with 10, 12 and 15 minute episodes but 7 minutes...you just get into it and it's over! I will give it a go as it think it has potential and I really want to see if the FL is convincing as time goes by. She so far is nowhere near as convincing as the FL/ML in Coffee Prince, I had to remind myself she was in fact a female. So far I'm rating it as a 7 1/2.Was this review helpful to you?

I say it in the preamble, I'm not a fan of these mini-dramas which give me the impression of having a dotted summary of a drama project to be developed. The story unfolds over a long period, with twists and plots, a budding romance with a gender problem, the beginning of a proven romance, a breakup, a denouement, all in 22 8-minute episodes (including credits: (The actors (all young) are very good, but the format does not allow them to give depth to their character.
The OSTs are decent, but nothing memorable for an entertainment drama.
The story... The story brings together ALL the clichés of the genre: girl disguised as a boy, conspiracies of competitors, loss of her voice, sick grandmother, rumors and orchestrated scandals, breakup to pursue her dreams, etc. As the realization is hasty, there are inconsistencies in the course, but given the rushed pace of the narration, we do not have time to dwell on it.
Conclusion: a frustrating viewing, because the plot had potential, but the budget and format do not allow the actors to demonstrate their talent.
You will understand that I will not watch this mini-drama again, although I would like to see Lu Dong Xu in more developed series.
