This drama was so thrilling and intense since the very first episode. You have to dismiss the realism in order to enjoy the whole drama (I am talking mainly about the several kidnappings). But I enjoyed every episode and I loved that it surprised me every time. I do think the last episode was a bit underwhelming but overall I think this was one of the best drama of this season. None of the characters is dumb, some of them are suspicious but fortunately the cops are not useless (I wasn't expecting anything less from Tamaki Hiroshi).
The acting was very good from everyone; of course Nino was excellent as always and I don't know if I was just sensitive watching him with a baby in his arms, but I cried a bit at the end. I loved to see him with Tabe-chan, even though I never watched Yamada Monogatari.
The truth about Koharu-chan was sadly not unexpected, so unfortunately not everyone gets a HEA.

They give the title 'My Family' and describe them perfectly ?
Okay, I'm not talking about the plot hole or giving a critique like I'm an expert. Not sure if I'm biased or not because in the first three episodes I'm a bit underestimated this drama (yeah, I'm sorry Nino-san) :')The story might not feel right for some of you, sure you have questions here & there. After watching for 9 weeks full of mystery and seeing the finale, I got it! It's not we expect something big from a kidnapper, but the meaning after all this 'repetitive' kidnapping. This drama is not about Haruto with his wife and daughter, but about all his friends, acquaintance, and colleague. Close friends, a person you work with that has the same professional end goals as you do, then they became 'family'.
One of a suspect doing a 'kidnapping' because there was just one thought he had back then. I know it's WRONG but he is just hoping that one of his family is alive somewhere. Others just pity what happened to them, but the only family was praying for her to be safe.
I love how they wrapped up all the problems and that looks more realistic. Like there are is a happy family, then at the same time, another person lost their family. And there is someone who fixed the relationship after what have they done in the past.
Overall My Family is a heartwarming drama! All casts really did a great job, the soundtrack (Sore wo Ai to Yobunara by Uru), and the bgm also helped the audience empathize with the characters.
Thanks for 10 weeks, My Family team! :D

Too Repetative
As per usual, I wanted to loved this series and the idea of not using the police to help retrieve your kidnapped child. I mean what would you do if your child has been kidnapped? How desperate would any us us become to get our child back? The 1st episode was really interesting but as each episode went along the show was just too ridiculous and boring. For me however, the biggest set back for this series is the ML. Actor, Ninomiya Kazunari, can't act to save his life. It was nice seeing Tamaki Hiroshi as the lead detective but even he couldn't save this series. I will say the episodes got better towards the end but this could have been a limited series of 5 episodes. 10 episode led to too many repetative scenes and the same plot devices.
Actor, Hamada Gaku, was great. His portrayal of a desperate father and ex cop was very believable and heartbreaking once all the history was revealed.

Great acting, competent story.
I enjoyed watching the drama and finished it in 2 days after work. I originally watched it because I was curious about a drama from Nino after it has been a couple of years since his last one.The drama is very well acted. All the actors are great and made me care for the characters or at least understand them. I also liked that the characters are intelligent and made good decisions so I was rarely frustrated watching them.
The story keep me interested until the end. Although the pay off at the end wsd a little disappointed it did take me mostly by surprise.
I do believe is a good watch if you're interested in mysteries and thrillers.
