Zhen Ming Tian Zi (1998)

This two-part, Minnan-dialect Taiwanese drama is a fictionalized depiction of two founding emperors of China. The Legend of Zhu Yuan Zhang (Ep. 1-78): Zhu Chong Ba is prophesied to become the next king of China. His friend Liu Bowen does everything he can to help Chong Ba with the rebellion, while his half-brother Chen You Liang tries to assassinate him. At last, he becomes Zhu Yuan Zhang, the founder of Ming dynasty. The Legend of Zhao Kuang Yin (Ep. 79-124): During the chaotic Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, the golden dragon boy, red dragon boy, and flower fairy ascended to the mortal world together. The reincarnated Zhao Kuang Yin helps his sworn brother Cai Rong become the ruler of Later Zhou while battling supernatural creatures from the Khitan Empire.
